"The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We had a group of 25 for a birthday celebration, and my glass was never empty. I always appreciate attentive service when my drink runs low—it really makes a difference. I ended up with more food than I could finish, and the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back!"

"Hole in the wall or Hidden Gem for Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Asheville Nestled in the vibrant culinary scene of Asheville, North Carolina, El Que Pasa stands out as a delightful destination for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a clean, well-kept interior that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The first thing I noticed was how genuinely welcoming the staff were. I was greeted with smiles all around, which immediately made me feel at home. Shortly after being seated, my waitress promptly took my drink order and within moments, I was served with a basket of fresh tortilla chips and salsa. One unique highlight that truly adds value to the experience is their salsa bar . It’s not just your run-of-the-mill selection; this bar featured about eight handcrafted salsas, each with its own unique flavor profile. Whether you’re a fan of mild, tangy salsas or crave a spicy kick, there’s something for everyone. This kind of attention to detail in offering a variety of salsas is a testament to their commitment to providing an authentic Mexican dining experience. For my meal, I ordered the steak fajitas, paired with their house special margarita. The sizzle of the fajitas as they were brought to the table instantly got my taste buds going. The steak was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The accompanying peppers and onions were fresh and added a nice balance to the dish. But what truly impressed me was the authenticity of the flavors. It’s clear that El Que Pasa takes pride in delivering a genuine Mexican dining experience, and they don’t cut corners when it comes to the quality of their ingredients. As for the margarita, it was simply a 10/10. The blend was perfectly balanced – not overly sweet, with just the right amount of tequila and a fresh citrus finish. It complemented my meal perfectly and added to the overall satisfaction of the evening. El Que Pasa offers much more than just a meal; it provides an experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Asheville, this restaurant is worth a visit. The combination of friendly service, an expansive salsa bar, and mouth-watering dishes makes it a standout choice for Mexican cuisine in the area. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and this time, I’ll be bringing my family along to share in the great food and warm atmosphere. If you’re searching for authentic Mexican flavors in Asheville with a welcoming vibe and top-notch service, El Que Pasa should be at the top of your list. Five stars all the way!"

"This is a newly discovered jewel. We came many years ago, but it's a bit far from home. After the Mexican restaurants in the highlands were a bit boring, we decided to go back. So glad we did. My brother had Carne asada fajitas. He loved her and said the onion was perfectly cooked and the beef was tasteful and well seasoned. I had Carnitas Tacos. They were pretty good, but a little too much tortilla. They were doubled, but very thick. Good texture and taste and I think they are homemade. The pork roast was delicious and I would try something else with the pork. The atmosphere is bright, clean and the dinning room is large and good with stands and table and chair options, as well as outdoor seats. The service is excellent, server friendly and professional. Both times that we have recently come has been for lunch."

"I can’t believe I have never given this outstanding restaurant a review. We eat here frequently. The service tonight as every time we have eaten here was outstanding! The food is the best and I have actually been to Puerto Vallarta. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming! The prices lower than expected. $45 for 2 dinners and drinks. I had a large draft and my son a soda. Chips and salsa were included. We added queso.also you have to try the homemade hot sauce!! The flavor is delicious but be warned it’s called hot for a reason. I will try to remember to get some photos on our next visit! Until then do not pass by this hidden gem!"

"I recently visited Casa Garcia for the first time and was impressed by the delicious authentic Mexican food and attentive service. I ordered the enchiladas plate and was pleased to find that they were willing to substitute grilled vegetables for beans and rice. The homemade sopapillas were a highlight of the meal, generously sized and sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar before being dipped in honey. I also enjoyed watching the staff make their homemade tortillas. While I didn't try any drinks from the bar, I heard they are excellent. I look forward to returning to Casa Garcia to try their breakfast menu on my next visit to Kyle. Overall, a great dining experience that I highly recommend."

"It is highly unlikely that the positive reviews for this restaurant are genuine. Our dining experience here was by far the worst I can remember. The waitress got three out of four meals wrong and then argued with us about our order. The food was mediocre at best. I was served a cold cheese enchilada (see picture) with unmelted cheese. The manager even tried to convince me that they intentionally serve their enchiladas with a cold filling, which is absurd. To top it off, we were charged for fountain drinks with our kids' meals, despite them being advertised as free. After complaining, the manager removed the cost of my meal and another incorrect meal. However, the shocker came when he tipped the waitress forty percent before giving us our bills. Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that he had added a $20 tip to each of our $50 checks, even though we had split the bill evenly. My friend's receipt also showed the same percentage tip added to each item."

"The only constructive criticism I have for the restaurant is that they overlooked my OpenTable reservation, where I specifically requested a table near the band due to my connection with them. Initially, they tried to seat me in a back room until I pointed out my preference for the main room with the band. Thankfully, they ultimately accommodated my request and seated me where I'd asked. If they had been unable to do so, that would have been a different matter, but they didn’t even mention the possibility as they attempted to place us in the back. Overall, everything else was great."

"I used to be a loyal customer of this restaurant, but it seems like things have taken a turn for the worse in the last four months, possibly due to new management. Today’s visit was disappointing: the floor was sticky throughout the restaurant, there was an unpleasant smell, and one of the staff members didn't even acknowledge us. To make matters worse, my friend tried to use a text offer from corporate, but they refused to accept it. I had the same offer, which we receive regularly and have used before without issues. I really hope they consider bringing back Alex, Victor, and Diego, as things were so much better under their management. I may reconsider coming back in the future!"

"I have ordered from here multiple times on DoorDash. Finally went in to eat in person for the first time. The inside was decorated really nice! The service was pretty quick and friendly too. We order the chips and salsa Queso on the side as well to Start off. We really enjoyed our queso dip, so I do recommend that! We also ordered the burrito el barzon- An item that we order quite frequently. Pretty much every time we order from here. It’s a huge burrito with chicken, shrimp, beef, pineapple, and a smothered in sauce. Definitely very filling and could get multiple meals out of it. I also order their salmon and shrimp, rice dish, which they offered tortillas When they brought it out. It was good, I love the sauce and will definitely order this again.."

"Went for my birthday and got seated right away. We ordered drinks and guacamole and I ordered beef fajitas. They were good but needed lime juice or would have been to tasteless. The waiter was awesome and the man who brings drinks too. I liked the staff. But my friend ordered a tostada and it was covered in red enchilada sauce. She literally had to run to the bathroom due to the sauce. Tostadas should not use red sauce. It wasn't hot sauce but red enchilada sauce. Odd. I was pleased with my food and the cute little dessert they brought me for my birthday. Delicious flan. I was sad when I wanted to tip 15% and the electronic device had only 18% and two higher choices. Why don't they have 15% as a choice? Seems presumptuous and wring to assume I want to pay more when the bill was already over $50 for two plates and a small guacamole and two sodas? I pushed the custom tip button and paid 7$. I would have paid more had they not tried to force a customer to pay 18%. It's wrong. Reminded me if the Dodgers now wanting us to pay for a bag of peanuts using our credit cards on a handheld machine and also expecting 18% and up tips. Not me. I won't go to any more dodger games. Their hot dogs taste awful and getting tix and parking pass online was awful. Never could find the parking pass. Oh well I digress. Good food, great staff, but the tip forced down my throat not so good. And my poor friend was sick from the sauce."

"We visited El Charolais around 5:00 PM and were seated almost immediately. There were a couple of hosts, which made the wait seamless and kept things moving smoothly so you could quickly enjoy their delicious food. I ordered the steak strips with rice topped in a cheese sauce, and honestly, if you don’t try this dish, you’re definitely missing out on something special—any meat lover would absolutely enjoy it. They also offer vegetarian options to choose from. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the service is exceptional. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the rich flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine."

"I will give insight about this place as someone who has been living in Milton for 4 years and I regularly take a gamble on this place because I love Mexican food. The chefs have always done a fantastic job. They always make everything delicious and it comes out hot. However, for the last 4 years that I have been ordering here, this place gets my order wrong half the time.I am not being dramatic here, this place has a very abnormally high ratio of getting my order wrong.I have a feeling it has to do with the waiters and management.I even tried to talk with the waiters before about a huge mishap and then the waiters tried gaslighting me into believing my dish was what I ordered. I ordered chicken mole enchiladas and this waiter was trying to get me to believe my dish was mole when it was so very obvious that they served me red sauce instead. They also tried gaslighting my husband into believing they gave him his order. He order seafood and they served him chicken. They straight up were trying to gaslight us even with the evidence right in their face.Anyways, if you decide to eat here, know that you are taking a gamble. If you’re someone who has severe allergies or dietary restrictions, I would not recommend eating here because these guys are so unreliable and do not take responsibility for their mistakes. If you eat here you’re trusting unreliable waiters with your life if you have allergies.I do have dietary restrictions and cannot eat flour so I order corn. They have regularly given me flour tortillas instead of corn when I ordered corn. And I order in often from DoorDash and can’t get a replacement like I could in person.I give a star for the awesome food quality from the chefs, but the rest of the things about his restaurant are so consistently inconsistent and unreliable."

"The Combo #7 was a delight to my taste buds. I've visited many restaurants claiming to be authentic, but this one truly delivers on that promise. My family enjoyed every dish we ordered. The guacamole was absolutely delicious. The shrimp cocktail isn't listed on the menu, so you'll need to ask for it by name, but it's incredibly good—definitely worth trying! The staff is also fantastic; our server, Tony, was exceptional. I really appreciated the cash discount offer, which saved me more money than I would have earned from credit card rewards. They also have a great military discount. I wish I could take this restaurant and its staff home with me! I guess I’ll just have to plan a vacation or a long trip to come back again."

"Overall I love this place. Even tho sometimes they drop the ball in service when they abandon your table for a while and your like I need my next drink Mexican food here is very good. I wish tho they would add less Manteca or shortening on the tortilla de harinas they get to hard and not puffy and soft like they should be. But the refried beans are great. Their rice is great. The chicken fajitas are super delicious they just perfect . Their guacamole is a hit and miss sometime when it taste like it was done a day before. Freshness is Key! Their regular fajitas are delicious. I love the enchiladas because they are Extremely TEX MEX 100% so they have the tex mex taste not mexican enchiladas but tex mex but they do have a Mexican enchiladas which are the green enchiladas suizas and those are Mexican enchiladas that are great! My favorite dish has to be POLLO RICO which is chicken fajitas with green bell pepper and onions topped with melted mozzarella cheese! It is INCREDIBLE FOR MY LIKING!"

"We were sat and waiting about 15 minutes for a server to approach us. They were worried about putting a large table together and getting their order of drinks in before even approaching us. We never got half our drink or let alone any silverware. We had to use the spoons they offered at the dessert table in the buffet."
