"The food here is fantastic! I recently moved to Brooklyn and stumbled upon this gem. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy some delicious Mexican cuisine. My girlfriend absolutely loved it. We’ll definitely be coming back. The service could use some improvement, but overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere is nice, and it's conveniently located near local shops."

"We walked in for dinner and immediately felt like the restaurant was about to close. I later noticed that there were no posted hours, so maybe they close when it’s slow. The staff seemed surprised with every new patron who entered, creating a strange atmosphere. The chips and salsa that arrived at our table were tasty, and I appreciated the smooth salsa instead of pico. Our waitress appeared very frantic and overwhelmed, despite only having two tables to serve, and she didn’t seem interested in ensuring we had a pleasant experience. We ordered the Freshly Made Guacamole ($10), which was indeed fresh and chunky. My husband chose the steak tacos (three tacos with onion, cilantro, and lime for $14). They were bland but okay—nothing memorable. I opted for the chicken quesadilla, but I didn’t read the menu closely enough to see that it contained mozzarella cheese. Why is there mozzarella in my quesadilla? That was a bit odd. The chicken was so watery that the plate ended up filled with liquid. The tortilla itself was hard, fried in so much oil that it was practically a hard shell. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t good, either. While we waited a long time for our check—during which the rest of the staff seemed to be wandering around whistling and playing on their phones—we saw one staff member emptying a serving container of horchata into a bucket. Food service has its tricks, and I was okay with it until I saw our waitress ladle horchata from the bucket to serve to other customers. It just grossed me out. At the very least, take that to the back so I’m not aware that I’m being served “bucket drink.” Overall, I don’t see any reason to return to this restaurant."

"Don’t let the size of the place full you or the crowdedness chase you away. If it’s an hour wait, it is well worth it! From our drinks to the food it was spectacular! My whiskey sour was amazing, my wife’s margarita was the bomb! With that being said, we order guacamole for our appetizer and it was silky smooth and just amazing. Our entrees is what really impressed me. I ordered the Pollo Ranchero and it was amazing. I think I licked the plate clean. I mean from the perfectly cooked chicken with the chorizo sauce, it was superb. Definitely will be coming back to try more. This is not our last review! Spectacular food here and from looking around, there wasn’t a bad dish in site!!!"

"Definitely a place I would return to! I live about 30 minutes away and was feeling hungry while out in the area. I had never heard of this place before, but we decided to give it a try. I have been to many Mexican-style restaurants, and this place is definitely one of the best. The atmosphere may not be fancy, but it is very cool, cozy and the food tastes amazing. We ordered shrimp and steak fajitas, which were a perfect 5 out of 5. Their guacamole was a 10 out of 5, and their sauces were also fantastic. I particularly liked the mild sauce, as it actually had flavor unlike other places where mild sauces are bland. The hot sauce had a nice kick to it. The lady at the cash register was very friendly and checked in to see if we needed anything. Overall, a pleasant and beautiful experience!"

"This is Nashville's best kept secret. The food is amazing and always fresh. You can tell that the owner cares about the product and satisfying the customer and that means so much. The fajitas are the best! What you see here is the chicken fajitas (two different videos from two different visits) and the shrimp and chicken fajita. Also, if you love a good margarita, you'll love their frozen pineapple margarita pitcher. A margarita plus your girlfriends means hours of talking and laughing."

"If you plan to order ahead by phone, be ready to provide your credit card information. The shrimp mac and cheese was absolutely amazing—rich, creamy, and delicious. While waiting for our order, I couldn't help but appreciate the wonderful ambiance. From the trophies on the walls to the Mexican flag, rooster artwork, and music, everything created a fantastic atmosphere. The chorizo quesadilla was a bit greasy but packed with flavor. "The food, the service, and the pricing were quite good. Regarding the bill, I was very surprised by a pop tax of 5.75% on an ice tea and a similar alcohol tax on a bottle of beer in addition to the usual sales tax. What in the world is this? There 's no such tax imposed by the state of Ohio. Also had a margarita during happy hour at a reduced price, but my wife had a virgin margarita (no alcohol) and was charged the regular full price. ???"

"Delightful and friendly service. The staff where so welcoming. The food was scrumptious. I am surprised that the score for this place is listed only as a 4.1 stars when I found much better. I had the shrimp sopa and it was delish. A perfect soup and appetizers that was delicately seasoned and the shrimp was prepared correctly- seared prior to inclusion into the soup . I also had a seared steak salad which was flavorful and well balanced. My co- diner had enchiladas and these were skillful prepared. The only thing I can say about his dinner was the presentation, but otherwise, all in all, a moderately priced yet delicious dinner!! Please give them a try if you haven?t dined there yet."

"I travel often on business and loved the Barrel House in downtown Davenport and saddened that it is closed. I was ecstatic to find one open in Dubuque and I could get my Firecracker shrimp taco fix. I ordered the wings first as a appetizer. Food was good but not great but what dropped the review to 4 stars is the tacos came out first. 5 minutes later the wings showed up. Apparently they have problems timing appetizers and main courses. I would definetly dine here again and they have a great craft beer selection. Definitely missing my Dubuque Star Big Muddy Red...the finest beer ever brewed in the state of Iowa"

"After being moved to another table, we placed our order, and things seemed to be on track again. However, while we were waiting for our food, a large painting fell from the wall, nearly hitting a customer nearby. At the same time, our waitress slipped on the previously spilled water and hilariously flew horizontally into the adjacent table. It was a surreal moment that left us in disbelief. Despite all of this, we remained hopeful when our food finally arrived. The portions were generous and the food itself was good. Overall, though, the experience was disappointing. I understand that they were understaffed, which likely contributed to the mishaps we encountered. However, I believe that if you're charging premium prices, the service and atmosphere should match. Part of me wants to give Triny's another chance, as I don't think we got to see their best side. Ultimately, while the food was enjoyable, the experience didn’t warrant a return visit. For a better Tex-Mex meal, I would recommend Azteca in Sterling, which offers equally tasty food with much better service and prices. I truly wanted to like this place and still hope to discover a more favorable Tex-Mex spot in the future."
