"We have been customers since you opened! The restaurant ambiance/atmosphere has changed drastically. Not the high end Restaurant we loved! Trash-food and napkins everywhere on carpet. Servers very slow..they don’t look up! They walk around looking downward. Water was not replenished when glass was empty. Servers did not know wine list. Your staff needs a review on “how to be be the best server!” Food was very good!!🌠 Your prices are higher, but the quality of the restaurant does not balance with the $. We will no longer go for family special occasions, but we will go for an occasional dinner. I don’t believe our standards are too high! We have since visited other restaurants in Boca who’s $ are same as yours and the standard much higher!!!"

"I have been to J. Alexander's a few times before and each time the service is exceptional and the food is usually pretty good. Yesterday evening was not as good of an experience for me and my family. Upon arrival I informed the hostess that I had an additional guest. I was met with disdain and a huff and puff. They were able to accommodate me and we were sat. A portion of our party did run a little late but we had our drink orders taken. Unfortunately, we were not tended to again for 45 minutes. We had to wave our waiter down multiple times throughout our visit. He was not very attentive and we often had to ask him to clear our table or come back to see us when he had a moment. It was quite disappointing because it seemed as if he did not want to serve us at all. Then only time we received a smile was when we paid our tab plus 18% gratuity and were leaving. I really like this place so hopefully this was a singular experience."

"We had an absolutely fabulous experience! Our server, Cara, was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We will make sure to request her next time. Heather, the manager, was also professional and made us feel very welcomed. I had the ahituna and it was the best I have ever had! Hubby got the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. I couldn?t recommend thislocation more-will definitely be back soon!!"

"Hadn't been here in awhile, but not much has changed. Overall experience was good. Restaurant was busy, but not full. I had the grilled salmon with creamed spinach. Salmon cooked perfectly. I requested 12 min, no more. My sister had the chicken tenders, not over fried. She said the portion was smaller than previously, was ok. Staff was personable. There carrot cake is one of the best. It has nuts, raisins and of course cream cheese icing. Served warm. Someone at the table should order just to try. Extensive wine list. I miss the ribs not being on the menu"

"We didn't stay for our meal, because within ten seconds down at the table, I noticed a **** on the wall behind my wife's shoulder. The Hostess gave me a coffee filter to remove it and we decided to go. A waiter or possibly a manager, I'm not sure as he doesn't imagine, came by and started jogging over the **** to illuminate the mood I suspect. Then he went on to explain that the stand we sat on has a racket problem and it has been running for some time. There were several open booths and tables, why do you put us there if there is a constant problem that the restaurant refuses to repair? Sure to say that we went right away and went to eat elsewhere. I was disappointed as my wife recommended this place very much, and I was never before, but according to our experience we will not return to Stoneys or recommend someone to eat there. Would give less than one star if possible."

"I love this place. it is cozy and dim, good for a date. also beautiful for a girl lunch before a mall trip the first rib French diving sandwich is wonderful, as well as her spinat and artichoke dip app. but my favourite piece on the menu is the cypress salad. between the sweet crumbles, the perfect fried chicken, avocado and the pecans, it's just delicious. service is always good. it's something on the expensive side. the menu is not huge, but has many good choices."

"Not many options on the menu, but we tried the steak tacos and ribs, both dishes lacked smoke and flavor but the steak was not overcooked so I was okay. The mac n cheese was also pretty good but they were out of 2 types of liquor for their specialty drinks which was disapponting. Of note, they no longer serve rattlesnake pasta or the skillet cornbread which were customer faves.
