"Café Kubal is an amazing establishment! This location has a very hip and modern style to it. The open floor plan and tall windows allows a lot of natural light in. A window seat while you enjoy food or drink is not hard to get which is what I prefer. There are larger tables for group seating and more comfortable couches if you like that comfort level too. Today I had the pleasure of eating The Upstate Grinder which consists of : turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese, apples, maple mayo on ciabatta bread, and oh my was it AWESOME! The cheese was melted perfectly and all the flavors combined so well. I topped it off with a 4oz Eastwood that's simply equal parts espresso and steamed milk, but with unsweetened cocoa. Wow wow was that great too! Last but not least the service. The fella and two women that work this location are spot on with your order whether they are working with just a couple orders or a long line. They held great conversation while perfecting their crafts. Love this spot and I'll always revisit."

"One star feels harsh, but all this place has is location and a nice wooden table. The iced coffee is always acidic. I have the worse heartburn after drinking their iced coffee. Sometimes it tastes like burnt popcorn and you have to add a ton of cream and sugar to make it drinkable. After dealing with mediocre iced coffee for years I switched to Americanos thinking a freshly pulled espresso shot would ameliorate any taste and inadequate coffee brewing skills and boy was I wrong. When you order a medium Americano you'll get 1 or 2 espresso shots in the coffee it tastes like milk with water. It's absurd to me that a coffee establishment can't brew nice light roasted iced coffee and now they can't pull an espresso shot?! That's why I give this coffee establishment 1 star. The lemon biscotti is decent, but all the other food is as taste less as the coffee. Train your staff to make coffee replace old coffee pull an espresso shot and dump it into dairy before 4 seconds so it doesn't taste like burnt dirt. I had such a disgusting, stale, and acidic coffee from Common Grounds that I had to leave work and go home and was physically ill. Common Grounds is overrated and unfortunately you get better service and product at local fast food coffee than Common Grounds."

"I come in pretty often since it's right around the corner from where I live and the staff here is pretty unusually heartless and cruel. They keep a sign over the door 24/7 that says it's closed for cleaning and refuse access to anyone that comes in with a backpack regardless if they are a paying customer or not but then gives the code to anyone else. I watch them time and time again give out free water and cups of ice to individuals unless they look homeless then it's 25 cents a cup even if they are buying other items. Employees constantly ignore customers waiting at the register and pretend they don't exist as they continue on with their conversations and they'll even step right outside and light up a cigarette right next to the entrance so that their smoke drifts right into the faces of customers sitting outside. The floors are never swept and you can see trac marks on the arms of one of the employees. I sure hope I don't contract hepatitis c here with junkies behind the counter. I'd recommend the Starbucks just a few doors down."

"This place truly excels in coffee. They offer a vast selection of beans at reasonable prices, and you can purchase them by the quarter pound, making it easy to sample a variety. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about each type of bean, and they can recommend the perfect one for any drink. During my visit, I tried several coffees made on-site and took some beans home to enjoy later—all of which were fantastic! I only wish we had a spot like this in St. Louis! Additionally, the arcade room looks like a lot of fun. I was also impressed by the range of coffee equipment they had available. If there's one small drawback, it's that their tea selection was good but not as outstanding as the coffee. Regardless, the barista was very informed about her teas! Overall, I give it a 5 out of 5 and would definitely come back."

"My husband tried to order a large dark roast coffee, only to be told they were out of coffee. At first, I thought he was joking since the establishment is called Coffee Bean—how could they possibly run out of coffee? When we asked another employee, she looked confused but assured us they did have coffee. However, the coffee she served was made with the wrong beans. To make matters worse, our muffins were left in the microwave too long and were served cold. Despite there being very few customers, the service was lacking. While I’ve had good experiences at this location before, the staff on this occasion were particularly inept."

"I went to Starbucks with my daughter because she wanted to try one of their drinks, and honestly, I didn't think I would like any of the options for some reason. I'm really grateful to her for encouraging me to try one because these drinks are delicious! I've been experimenting with different ones, and so far, I haven't been disappointed. It's a bit different from what I usually order, but I'm open to learning since it's all worth it. The only downside for me is the price, so I'll have to get used to treating myself maybe every other day."

"Unfortunately 2 star because room temperature is extremely cold for sitting to relax and have your breakfast in it's almost feels like Siberia and sits and desks are positioned badly we need place to set our laptop to study comfortably while having breakfast our coffee . Now the reason they earned 2 star only because of their awesome staff here! Very welcoming and nice and people I still ordered and sat down to finishy breakfast and do my homeworks but believe me it's was torturing cold and sits and desks very uncomfortable please fix this issue!!! "Great place for bulk coffee and tea, plus basic and unique drinks. They have countless options for coffee beans, from single origin to blends and whatever roast you need. "My experience could’ve been extremely better, all it takes is a little Love, I ordered a mocha frappe with oat milk and a cookie that I probably shouldn’t have ordered lol…. I waited patiently for my order while the baristas prepared orders for individuals who completed orders after I completed my order, these individuals were asked their name to be recognized for their order, which I think is the proper way of knowing if it’s your order, but I wasn’t granted the same opportunity, when the baristas thought I had waited long enough they announced Mocha Frappe, I knew it was mine’s because everyone else was asked their name for their order. When I grabbed my drink the barista said sorry for the wait to confirm that they knew I was waiting, what a way to show customer appreciation. "This used to be my go-to Chinese restaurant in Hollywood, but that's no longer the case. My recent experience was quite disappointing. I ordered shrimp chop suey, but I was only given the option of a quart instead of a pint. When I asked for extra water chestnuts, the staff informed me that they didn't have any in stock. It seemed they were also out of snow peas and bamboo shoots. Instead, my dish contained only broccoli, bok choy, a few mushrooms, and some carrots. The shrimp itself was unpalatable. My husband’s pepper steak featured low-quality, overcooked beef, and his fried rice was a greasy disaster. We won’t be coming back. The new owners have truly ruined what was once a fantastic restaurant, and they’ve raised the prices too!"

"we weren 't here long as we just wanted a warm drink for a cold night ahead and decided to stop in and grab a seasonal beverage which was the 'winter dream latte ' we received our drinks shortly after ordering and they were extremely hot even through the cardboard sleeve. we gave it a few minutes to cool off and eventually drank and finished our lattes. they were so good and tasted exactly how that should which wasn 't too overwhelming of a flavor. i would note that there really isn 't a lot of parking but luckily when we went the small parking lot was mostly empty."

"Most of the evening crew are very slow, unprofessional and rude to customers!! For example if they close at 10pm, they start closing at 9:25 to 9:30, bringing the chairs and tables back in and kicking people out who walk in!! Three of the female employees in the evening, act dry and have very nasty attitudes which doesn't help any!! I would rather go back to The Coffee Bean on Sunset even though I don't care for the tight parking lot!"
