"We were late to make our reservations, but Chuck kindly held the table for us. Caesar salad on the table was amazing. Our mains waited a bit, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they showed up shortly afterwards. Great food and portions well suited. Our steaks were done perfectly! Due to the small delay in our network, the manager sent a sinful sundae that we devoured even though we were way too full. Excellent service and kudos to the management for keeping the service up to date."

"In my opinion, there are far better Mexican restaurants available. While the food was decent, it didn't impress me enough to return, especially given the numerous unnecessary rules they have in place. Upon our arrival, the waiter offered us “chips and guacamole” as if it were a standard starter, but we were surprised to find a $15 charge for the guacamole on the bill. They also don’t allow side substitutions, and the rules for unlimited cocktails are quite strict (if one person orders it, everyone at the table must as well). Additionally, the prices on the menu are generally too high. I won’t be returning to this restaurant."

"Great food, great drinks great service as I’ve become accustomed to at Nicholas Barrel Roost. The only complaint I have is, this is the second time I’ve been there where there have been lots of gnats flying around the tables. I saw other tables swatting at the too so it’s not the food or the sweets but just their presence. I’ve been in the restaurant business in the past and have seen other kitchens that weren’t managed properly from a taking care of the trash and keeping the drains clean in the sinks as examples and I’m starting to get concerned and even grossed out a bit. This needs to be taken care of so people don’t assume it’s a cleanliness issue. Otherwise a great dinning experience overall and highly recommended."

"If you want excellent food ranging from classic to fusion choices then this is your restaurant. The steak melted in my mouth, scallops cooked to perfection and the tuna was Devine! "I ordered the Big Buddha Bowl with tofu as a vegan option for takeout. When I requested the vegan swap, the server checked with the chef who confirmed that the sauce would just be water and soy sauce. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste anything other than the bland sauce and the steamed vegetables. The peppers and bok choy were decent, but they were cut into large pieces that I had to bite in half. The portion of veggies was also lacking compared to the amount of noodles. The dish also only had about 6 small mushrooms. If I had dined in the restaurant, I would have sent this dish back. I am giving it 2 stars because they at least listened to my request and provided something edible."

"I had to wait for my food to arrive because I was concerned about food contamination, and I feel it's important to mention this. They called to charge me an extra dollar for additional sides of ginger dressing after I had already placed an order totaling over $80.00. The call lasted five minutes because I couldn't find my debit card. If the food is truly exceptional, I might reconsider, but being nickeled and dimed when I'm already tipping over 20% is a definite no for me from now on."

"The food at this restaurant is exceptional, served in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, enhancing our overall dining experience. The bread selection includes three varieties, all made in-house and delicious. I often stop by on my way out of town to bring some bread home to share with friends. The salad was fantastic and the vodka chicken pasta, a specialty dish, was cooked perfectly with a delightful sauce. The menu features seasonal specials and all desserts are homemade and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the ice cream sundae topped with caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache, which was large enough to serve four people. We will definitely be returning to dine here again when we come back to Mayo and Golf."

"We haven 't visited Friday 's restaurant since we bought our house in Farmingville in 2016 but decided to celebrate our son 's math scores achievement last night (even though he sugested just McDonald 's or Mexican food . The atmosphere was ok and we made the order for drinks before deciding for the entrée and appetizers. When the drinks were served, we received a Sprite soda with just the taste of carbonated water and no sprite syrup (that should had tell me that something was wrong!! . Immediately I asked the server to exchange the drink for a coca cola instead and she said she could put the syrup in the machine but I insisted for a coke instead. When the meals were served, my wife received the Caesar salad and chicken noodle soup she ordered but we noticed that the lettuce had orange color edges and there was a lack of green leaves because there were mainly lettuce stems and also it was saturated with the dressing. The soup was tasteless and the noodles were I will say over cooked because I noticed that they had a dark spot like when they stick at the bottom of the pan for too long and get burned. So my wife didn 't eat neither soup or salad. My supposedly Full Rack of ribs looked like two sets of small ribs that you would put on a kids meal, the mash potatoes were flavorless but the onions rings were ok. For my son 's Classic Friday 's Combo the Mozzarella sticks were cold, the Loaded potato skins overcooked and the boneless chicken wings tasted like McDonald 's chicken nuggets with Buffalo sauce. We ended up paying $71.56 after demanded to take off the soup and salad from the bill. I left the served a tip as it was deserved for her so called service and left with a disappointment from should had been a good experience. When we left we said we should have stick with Mexican food or even McDonald 's instead!!! Never again..."

"Loved this place! In driving by in the past. I thought it was just like a dinner and drinks place. Wrong. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything you could imagine is on the menu and they do such a good job with it at all. Our waiter Lon was a true professional, did a great job. The whole staff was wonderful really! "The service and food here seem to get worse every time I visit. Food was cold, dry, and flavorless after waiting quite a while to get it. We had to keep asking for the same refills as the service lacked any level of hospitality. Portions of fries were miniscule compared to those in the past (my plate had 7 fries on it). The restaurant was rather dirty feeling. I don't recommend you waste your money here."

"Our experience was good, but not great. Had a ceviche appetizer… presentation was nice, but flavor was not special. Wife had the beet and salmon salad, which was pretty but also lacking in flavor profile. I ordered a steak, which came overcooked and was just okay. The side of potato pave was the best part of the meal for me. Given the price tag and class of restaurant, we definitely hoped for more. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, with high wood ceilings and architectural touches from the original courthouse. The ambiance was lovely, between the setting, lighting and music. No problems with the service. Just wish the food had lived up to expectations."

"I don't know what happened. It's been a while. This once upon a time treat on 127th Street has lost its flavor. We used to come here regularly, as a treat from the usual burgers and fries, recommended by a family friend who hipped us to it over 20 years ago. The Italian combo with a side of cheese fries was our traditional go-to order. But this most recent trip put us in a trick bag. The sausage was a series of smaller overcooked meat portions arranged to fit in the bun. The beef didn't merit mention. Dipping it, drowning it with cheese sauce, adding chunks of green pepper could not disguise the fact that something was amiss. Add on the almost $25 cost for two orders pretty much sealed the deal. Baby, bye! COVID recovery and inflation has ruined the joy of good tasty food everywhere. Money and time wasted, again. Daggone it."

"If you're craving beer, good bar food, and a place to watch sports, Elephant Castle is the place to go. We stopped by during the NFC Championship game and were impressed by the variety of beers available, with the Apex Predator and Black and Brown from Hahn being particularly delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegetarian options on the menu, such as the sweet potatoes with aioli which were highly recommended. The sweet cake and veggie wrap with fritten were also satisfying choices. The service was fast and friendly, and the kitchen worked quickly to get our food out. The booths were comfortable and had a good view of the sports on TV. Overall, Elephant Castle definitely deserves five stars and we will definitely be back. You won't be disappointed!"

"Fresh, Delicious, and Affordable! Green Apple Delight is my go-to spot for smoothies and açaí bowls! The ingredients are always fresh, the frozen yogurt is super creamy, and the variety of toppings is amazing. The staff is friendly, and the place has a clean, casual vibe. Prices are very reasonable — great value for what you get. I highly recommend trying their mango smoothie and custom açaí bowl. Can’t wait to go back when they open at 8 AM!"

"We opted for the limited menu package, which allowed us to select items in advance for our guests. The selections were printed on a customized menu, adding a nice personal touch to the event. Each entrée was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the private room, as well as throughout the restaurant, was elegant and inviting. The waitstaff provided excellent service, being attentive and polite throughout the evening. Kenny and Becky, in particular, took great care of our guests. Organizing this event from California was initially daunting, but it was incredibly satisfying to see everything come together just as we had imagined. Our guests were also very complimentary about the entire experience. We highly recommend Francesca’s Tavola to anyone planning a special event. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5."
