"We have been dining at this restaurant for years, but this was our first time ordering takeout. We decided to make it simple by ordering two Fiesta Salads. When I arrived to pick up the order, they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when I received the bag, I was concerned because it felt so light. Upon opening the containers at home, my fears were confirmed - there was very little food in each one. We paid $35 for the takeout and left a $40 tip, but were disappointed by the small portions and high prices. Unfortunately, good dining options in Belfast are limited, so we often have to compromise. The photos show that the aluminum containers were barely half full, indicating that we may have received half portions of what would normally be served in the restaurant."

Returning to this restaurant feels like coming home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the menu is excellent. The food always exceeds expectations. The owners do a fantastic job of running this hidden gem in Belfast.

We tried the sweet potato and black bean burrito and the bean chili at this restaurant and both dishes were fantastic. We requested no cheese or sour cream, and the server even checked if we were vegan to ensure our meals were prepared correctly. Everything was delicious.

It is one of our go-to places for years. Last visit was a bit off unfortunately. Long wait for food, awful French fries...and the baked Jarlsberg was small and mostly onions. So unlike other visits over 30+ years. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I've been here at least 5 times over the past 5 years, every time the food is pretty tasty, the staff are friendly and helpful, the place is clean and the vibe is warm and welcoming. I specifically enjoy their spinach artichoke dip appetizer, I order it every time! Anyone I have brought with me so far has enjoyed it. View menu

The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly and helpful. I have tried two dishes here that can be made vegan: pad Thai and a Buddha bowl. The pad Thai was okay, but I appreciated having the option available. The Buddha bowl, however, was not worth ordering in the vegan version with soy water broth. The noodles and veggies in it were delicious though. I ended up taking out the veggies and noodles and adding satay sauce to create my own dish. Next time, I plan to order the pad Thai with extra veggies, which I think will be a better choice.

The service and food at this restaurant were excellent! The quality was top-notch and the waitstaff was very attentive. Sandy, in particular, was a fantastic server who really took care of us. We tried the recommended Jarlesberg Cheese Dip and it was delicious. We also ordered the Darby Deluxe Burger with a side of Feta Dressing for the fries, which tasted like they were homemade. The overall experience was great, with a perfect score for food, service, and atmosphere. There was plenty of parking available, including free street parking options. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50 for lunch.

Darby's is a charming restaurant with great food choices. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Our family appreciated the gluten-free options available. We ordered pad thai, fish and chips, spinach and artichoke dip, and a turkey bacon sandwich. The dishes were served promptly and all tasted delicious. The pad thai had a unique twist with a peanut sauce, while the fish and chips had a light breading. The soup could have been warmer, but was still hearty and flavorful. Overall, we had a positive experience with excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. We recommend trying the Fish 'N ' Chips and Clam Chowder. Price range per person is $10–20 for lunch. View menu

I am a regular customer at Darbys and always satisfied with their food and service. However, I was surprised when I received my takeout order and found that one item was incorrect. I had ordered potstickers but received fried pickles instead, which I did not like. I went back to the restaurant today, spoke to the owner Cory, and he kindly provided me with the correct potstickers at no charge, and even gave me some extra eggrolls! I am very impressed and grateful for the excellent service, understanding, and consideration. Thank you! Overall, the dinner was a great value, with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 5.

I decided to try Darby's tonight. It was okay, but not quite up to the standards I was expecting based on the positive reviews. I started with the sweet potato fries, which were decent but could have used some seasoning or a more suitable sauce. The lack of available sauces and seasoning left them a bit bland. For my main dish, I ordered the baked haddock with fries. The fish was lightly seasoned with paprika and parsley, while the fries seemed to lack flavor and were soggy. My partner had the crab melt and had no complaints. The quality of the food seemed inconsistent. While some dishes may be good, overall there is room for improvement in terms of seasoning. The food lacked flavor, despite...

"I don't normally post negative reviews. Generally speaking I think a lot of places are trying their best and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I had such a truly terrible experience at Bell the Cat that I feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to others. Simply put, I ended up paying $80 for a brunch for *two* that wasn't worth $40. The good: The mimosa was good. Was it worth $10? Maybe. The salmon bagel (which I ordered as take out along with brunch) was excellent. Lots of smoked salmon and well worth the $13. The bad: The poached eggs I had with my red flannel hash were rock solid. I might as well have had two hard boiled eggs. The toast was cold, and the fried chicken served with the chicken and waffles was so salty it was inedible. The ugly: Being charged $3 for substituting maple syrup with the chicken and waffles, only to have a bottle of syrup brought with all the condiments. Paying a $1 upcharge for veggies on the salmon bagel. At no point was either charge mentioned by the cashier. I also want to take a moment to call out Bell the Cat's business model. I have no qualms with paying a premium for good service, but Bell the Cat is effectively a sandwich shop with pretensions of being a high-end full service restaurant. By collecting payment first there is zero accountability (aside from angry reviews like this one). Not a single staff person asked me about the quality of the food, and since I did not have an actual server there was no easy way to express my frustration or even find out where to get water (because you have to do that for yourself too). I will not be going back, and I strongly encourage others to spend their money elsewhere too."
