"The Main Event team was amazing to work with, and the food was delicious! We recently had our rehearsal welcome dinner (the day before our wedding) at their Plainview location with close friends and family, and everyone had a great time. The private room we were given was the perfect size for our group of 30 adults and 5 children, making it easy to take group photos. The balloons centerpiece, our chosen cake, and personalized menu were a nice touch, and our guests raved about their meals and drinks. Gina, the manager, was helpful and sweet during the booking process, and the staff on the night of our event did a fantastic job. We are very thankful to The Main Event for fueling us for our big day, and we highly recommend visiting or ordering delivery takeout from one of their restaurants."

"I was in this greene turtle several times and at this special occasion we had the worst service ever. for our party of 6 adults and 2 children came out our apps for some people before the main meal. the other half of our party received our apps with our main meal. as a result, our eating was cold, as we couldn't eat it at once. the server rarely came back to check us. this was a birthday party and it really put a downer on the whole experience. I'm not going back for one of these. there are many other restaurants with good service."

"Unfortunately this is not a very good experience. No one greeted me and when I was eventually seated it took nearly 10 minutes for someone to come around and take my drink/food order. Turns out it wasn't even my server because she eventually came around to check on how the food was. Mind you, there were people sitting at the bar but I was the only one sitting at the booths to get served. If it was busy, I would have understood. But since there were no other patrons, I could not figure out why the service was so lackluster. The food was also not very good (overly salty and ingredients were over and some under ripe) instead of complaining I ate most of it, left a good tip and left. I will not be attending this particular establishment again. Please get a better handle on your steps of service."

"I placed an online order today. I have entered my card information and a time for my order. When I came in to pick up my order, it wasn't ready for them to never get it. I explained what happened and that I looked as hospitable and was sure that the order went through. long story short my order never made it in the load, but the manager had made the order before place and when I offered to pay, I was told that he took care of it. I'm not sure the website turned off when I tried to place my order or if it was just user mistake. I appreciate the personal that tries to help me find the order and try to determine what could happen. the manager did not have to do what he did, and I would have paid well, but it is nice to see, there are still companies that respect and appreciate their customers. thank you again! great manager and staff!"

"The parking situation here is terrible. It's located in a corner near Wal-Mart, which means there's hardly any available parking close by. However, the food is quite good. I particularly enjoy the chips with ranch dip. The service is consistently excellent, and they offer video games for kids as well as dart boards. They host kids' nights and often have a clown or someone making balloon animals, which is fantastic. I really love their burgers and sandwiches too, and the fries are seasoned just right."

"Here's the story and you decide. On June 4, 2022 at 2030, I called an hour before table for 6 outside and staff at the restaurant said they don't take reservations. At 2030 a.m. to the restaurant, asked for table for 6 outside and employee says we can not combine two tables for 4 people outside and it will be two different servers and two invoices. We said good since we're here. There are 5-6 tables in row that are empty, with less than 1 foot separate them. After we have said okay to have two different servers and invoices, the employee says it should be on the outside at two different locations and cannot be next to each other. That was it and we left. I would never eat there or never go back to this facility."

"First time in this location. Food scored 2 for menu choices. I don't like Old Bay seasoning nor Pico and almost everything comes with one or the other, if not both. Would not be an issue if you could have them hold those, but waitress said neither can be omitted from dishes.Limits the menu dramatically for me. If not for this I would rate the food 4, the chicken strips were fantastic.Service was pretty good, and deserving of 20% minimum tip.Atmosphere scored 2 stars as your shoes stick to the floor making a horrible noise from the door to your table. No snow, no rain. The streaking on floor indicates poorly cleaned and likely with wrong cleaner. It immediately reminded me of younger days walking in poorly managed bars.Would eat here again as service was good, what I could order was good, but as a last resort due to stick floors and limited options for myself."

"We come here for the Vibes and have a hangover with friends! Food is however 5/10 it?s not something to try your way. The portion is very small for its price. You make you feel hungry. Her burger patties are extremely dry, with little to no spices. The Pommes are a part for children. Wings are not fresh, tasted like the frozen wings you receive from grocery stores. The pasta and is decent. Expect to pay $60-$70 for 2 people and make yourself uncomfortable. Unless you are looking for a Hangout Sport Bar to go, I would really not recommend this place."

"The nachos were excellent, made with real cheese, and we appreciated being able to have the chili served on the side since half of our group wanted it and the other half did not. However, the margarita flatbread was disappointing; the crust was bland, topped only with tomato paste and a few pieces of cheese. In today's competitive food scene, Green Turtle definitely needs to step up their game and eliminate such bland items. On the positive side, the veggie burger was fantastic. The way they build their custom burger is impressive. The caprese salad with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes was delightful, as always, and the crab fries were a hit with our group. I frequently enjoy guacamole at Mexican restaurants where it’s made fresh, and I would recommend that Green Turtle explore options to enhance their guacamole. A fresh, homemade version would be a great improvement over what seems to come from a plastic bag in the fridge. The service has always been excellent at the Green Turtle in Winchester. We were attended to by several waitresses, with Nina taking care of us for hours; she did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed, all with a smile. We really enjoy the Green Turtle and plan to return. I hope they take some of this feedback to heart and improve some of their menu offerings."

"We had made reservations for this restaurant on a Saturday night, which is usually difficult to secure a table. However, upon arriving and speaking with the hostess, she informed us that they do not actually accept reservations. We mentioned that we had made the reservation through the OpenTable app, but she seemed unfamiliar with it. The hostess promised to seat us as soon as possible. As we waited, we spoke with other groups who also claimed to have reservations and had been waiting for over 45 minutes. It became clear that reservation times were not being honored. Additionally, the restaurant was extremely loud and crowded, making it difficult to hear any conversation."

"Years ago Greene Turtle’s food and service were excellent. They offered deals during the weekday at slow times to drive in more customers. However, the past few times I ordered from Greene Turtle I was left disappointed. I live close by yet every time I order take out the food takes longer than expected to be ready (at least an extra 10 15 minute wait) and then it’s still somehow cold. This is shocking because every time I pick up food the restaurant is dead, which shows that everyone else is seeing what I’m seeing. The quality of the food itself gets worse each time I order. The most common item I get is the 7 piece boneless barbecue wings. What’s hilarious is the price per wing goes up if you order 10 pieces. Make it make sense. The wings are overpriced especially for the size of them. If you look at the photo you’ll notice the side cup for dipping is bigger than the wing itself. Also don’t order through delivery service because they increase the price per item. Also the cookie lava cake comes frozen like a rock, I would know because one time they forgot to heat it up before delivering it to me. The sad reality of most restaurants is that prices increase while quality decreases. Don’t believe the reviews. A lot of businesses pay for third party Google reviews to increase their ratings. It’s not that good nor famous."

"Went on a Wednesday or Thursday night. Nothing tasted fresh. Bit into the mozzarella sticks and it wasn't steamy or melty. All the food, except the fries, was just warm. The Korean Salmon Bowl rice was dry, and the broccoli was soft. My friend ordered a chicken sandwich and he didn't even finish half. "This was hands down the worst cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life, and I genuinely wish I was joking. It reminded me of something from a middle school cafeteria. I admit, I made the mistake of ordering a cheesesteak at a place that's likely more famous for their bar food, but I can't wrap my head around how anyone could mess up a cheesesteak. There was literally no seasoning at all, and while the cheese was somewhat decent, it's a stretch to even call it a redeeming quality. I’m incredibly disappointed and completely uninspired by this dish. It was an absolute disaster. On a positive note, I won’t fault the customer service; both the server and the hostess were very friendly, but I just can't get past the terrible meal I had."

"We've never had a stellar experience at the Greene Turtle. While the food is decent and the staff is friendly, everything feels somewhat insincere. It seems like they believe they're the best and don’t need to put in much effort. The truth is, they were never actually the best—just the most popular, and that peak popularity was back in the late 90s. Fast-forward to today, and it feels like the same crowd from high school is still hanging out, playing on the same pool table they've been using at The Turtle for over 20 years. The only noteworthy addition to the menu is the Beyond Burger meat substitute. The Greene Turtle feels like the Prom King and Queen—once popular but now merely a nostalgic memory."
