"so first, when they expect the atmosphere of others to be located in the city not. this place is warm, comfortable and eating is delicious. my first time here I had google places for cream brulé. it was the only place close to that which had made it available. I look at work clothes and bf in a cowboy hat and work in a rest. we sat at the bar and oh young was funny! marty and shae have just nailed our whole experience! So the next night we show up again and guess what the food was like the mouthwater and tasty like the first night. the service was intentionally brilliant. only hard-working passionate employees who are righteous to this place. recommend to the apple honey rye old fashioned. first whiskey I had not burned this in mouth or on the way down. next they drink a local distillery. 3 old guys are produced near my hometown in yamhill, oregon. I tried her luredown vodka. super! the whole experience was satisfied!"

"It's always fun and lovely to see themed restaurants and cafes. I quite enjoyed looking at bears from every angle! I was super stoked when I saw that the sugar packets and even the ketchup had been branded with the bears!!! We had breakfast food anddefinitely could not finish it. I ordered the volcano pancakes, my stomach was ordering for me. The pancakes were pretty denseand was mediocre for the price. Eggs, bacon and hasbrowns were about the same too. Although the bacon was nice and thick butstill crispy which is what I liked. They had a bear mascot came out and gave me a hug which ultimately made my day! Definitelywould try out this place if you're looking to eat lots and just enjoy the atmosphere. Bring someone who loves bears!!!"

"Our server appeared to be handling at least 12 tables at once, which resulted in us only seeing him every 30 minutes. We almost missed the chance to place our food order because of this. However, our food arrived quickly, allowing us to make it to our show on time. The drinks were pricey, with $13 for a small serving of alcohol in a small glass with a large ice cube. Overall, we were very let down by our experience. It was surprising that the restaurant wasn't properly staffed, especially with a show taking place nearby."

"Clarklewis remains a nice, upscale spot for Central Eastside visits. Our server hit the perfect combination of well informed attentiveness, while avoiding hovering. Though I've never met a pizza I didn't like, the Clarklewis version was almost entirely made up of the characteristics that I do not prefer: the crust was very thin and crispy (almost crackerlike), garlic olive oil took the place of sauce, the amounts of sausage, mushroom, and chevre were comparatively small. The fresh arugula and peppers provided most of the flavor. So, just in terms of personal preference, this one isn't anywhere near the top of my list. Cocktails, on the other hand, were spectacular I'd happily return to try out other items on the mixed drinks menu. Though pandemic times are winding down, I'm still choosing restaurants based on the availability of outdoor seating, and in this regard, Clarklewis was an excellent choice."

"We have been led to believe that this new addition to the Southlake scene was an amazing restaurant. Sadly, it did not live up to the billing. The service was attentive, but given that there were only three occupied tables it would be sad if that wasn’t the case. The food was okay. Given the prices, and the praise from locals, we expected more. My “frites” were soggy but my steak was tasty. The gnocchi was average. The brussels sprouts were undercooked and the cauliflower “steak” was barely seared. Again, this is a nice place, with nice staff, but given the build-up and the prices, we expected more."

"I had made a reservation for three for 5:30 p.m. to ensure we had plenty of time to get to our 7:30 p.m. show five minutes away. Our table was not ready when we got there and still wasn't ready 45 minutes later. Luckily, a table for two opened up and the very nice hostess sat us there by turning the table longwise so we all could fit around it. We were supposed to be there for drinks only until our table opened up but when a table opened up they gave it to another party that had been waiting longer than us. Again, luckily another table for two opened and she pushed that one together with ours (unfortunately, inconveniencing the table next to us who had to have their tables moved down), but at least we could order dinner. I don't think our table ever opened up while we were there! The food itself was delicious. We had mozzarella sticks that were typical, but good. My daughter had the fish and chips and they looked great. My cousin had the herb roasted chicken that came with a huge mound of mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. She gave me the dark meat and it was so good! I just ordered boneless chicken wings with BBQ sauce. I loved it! They didn't like their frozen drinks that weren't blended well, but the second round they liked, a beer and sparkling wine. I had two awesome cosmopolitans. Overall, a good experience but if I make a reservation, I expect to be seated on time. Maybe NYC restaurants don't operate like that and I'm spoiled by DC restaurants, but the hostess did a great job to make sure we got in."

"This place was a Family Restaurant and recently opened as Tasty Biscuit. Open and bright with cute decor. People were friendly and offered suggestions since the menu is full of delicious decisions. I observed the plates around me and many were presented nicely also. All tables are spread out and not on top of others which is nice. Portions are great, the biscuits are huge and melt in your mouth. Pancakes are fluffy not dense and the syrup came out warm and was tasty. I had the Fried green tomato Benedict and thought the guacamole sounded weird but it all went together perfectly! The potatoes had a nice crisp to them and were not too mushy like most places. At my table we also the Fall crepes as a special and a spinach mushroom skillet. The only con I have which is no biggie) is they will not butter the bread so be sure if you like your toast buttered do it immediately upon receiving your food so the butter melts in. Let's talk coffee I enjoy a regular hot cup of old fashioned coffee nothing fancy but they had so many options and flavors I tried the apple Carmel iced latte which was good however I could've done without all the whipped cream my preference). The regular coffee tasted fresh and not like it was sitting on the warmer. If you're in the area and if you're not make your way here and check it out. It's right off of I55 so easy to access if you are coming just for breakfast Oh they now have punch cards so I will be back to try the signature Bonuts!"

"My mom and I are heading out tomorrow on a cruise. I selected The Tremont because of its proximity to the pier. Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly by a very nice gentleman named Jerome. Jerome loaded our bags onto the trolley and waited for us to check in. Once checked in, he accompanied my mother and I to our room. Jerome was very helpful, professional, and kind. He not only brought our bags into the room and placed them in a location of our choice, he showed us where each item in the room was (refrigerator, coffee maker, closet, etc). If you are staying at The Tremont anytime soon, you’ll look forward to meeting Jerome.Rooms: Our room at The Tremont was very well appointed. The feel was luxurious. Our view was facing the strand and each window had gorgeous shutters. The high ceilings and lighting really added to the rich and cozy feeling.Walkability: The hotel is within walking distance to the strand, various bars restaurants, and even to the pier if you’re going cruising."

"they win this place an attempt based on other reviews. I'm really happy, I did. on Sunday at 10:15 o'clock it was about and sat right away. our server was so sweet and funny! She really has a warm and welcoming energy. the facility is very south, weathered hut like. a beautiful place to bring the family. While it was very busy, it was not too loud. the food was so good! her fried huh is amazing! so delicate and moist. I ordered the “George’s chix bacon Waffle” and my man ordered the “Nasty Biscuit”. they were very similar. just swallow the biscuits and hath browns with a waffel. we really enjoyed the dishes. the servier sizes are very large. we could have shared a court. If I'm back in the opposite, I'd try something else again!"

"The appetizer of mushroom stuffed was served cold, not even close to being warm. For dinner, I ordered steak and lobster. The potatoes were cold, the steak was warm, and the lobster was also warm. I decided not to order dessert because our bill was already over $150. The service was great and there was a good selection of wine. My husband's dinner was also on the warm/cold side. He ordered oysters for an appetizer, which tasted okay but were very small and almost not worth the effort. Neither of us complained to the server about our cold food, as we both have worked in customer service for many years. We would rather not go back than complain about our meals. Thank you."

"I have enjoyed the sandwiches here so far, but unfortunately I found hairs in my sandwich. I found a short small hair and a long hair in the second half of my sandwich. I was disappointed because I was really enjoying the sandwich that my boyfriend treated me to. If I eat here again, I would appreciate it if the staff could please take the necessary precautions to ensure that the sandwiches are safe to eat. "If you are visiting this page you probably want to know what The Plum Tomato is all about...........Let me tell you they are about great food and great service. Quick story: Yesterday I ordered lunch for my kids from another local pizza shop that I have patronized for the last 15 years. I ordered a small cheese pizza, steak cheese and a soda. I was told 35 minutes, well 35 minutes turned into an hour and every phone call was it will be there any second. Frustrated I cancelled my order, my kids were hungry, I was even hungrier and it was now time for my kids to take a nap. I have eaten from Plum Tomato before when my sister has ordered from them. I gave them a call and placed my order with a very nice young lady. She told me 45 minutes and I almost said never mind cause that was longer then my kids could wait but I decided to order anyway. Don 't you know they were at my door within 20 minutes with fresh hot pizza and my steak and cheese the exact way I like it. My 4 year old daughter says 'Mommy, this is the best pizza ever, can I have another slice. ' It must be them fresh ingredients and that hand tossed dough! Thank you Plum Tomato for exceeding my expectations and welcome to my family! We love you guys!"

"I want to start by saying that I travel across the country for work and stay at various hotels each month. I stumbled upon this place by chance, and I couldn’t be happier. The rate was around $200 for the night, and it was worth every penny. The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. I particularly enjoyed the host/waiter, who was incredibly kind and checked on us regularly. The restaurant served hot, delicious food promptly. The bartender crafted one of the best drinks my wife and I have ever tasted in the United States. (I typically try two or three drinks at hotel bars, often sticking with their specials or something simple to sample.) As for the rooms, they exceeded all my expectations. I recommend requesting a room on the top floor! The high ceilings, fireplace, and decor were simply stunning. It truly felt like being by the lake, combined with a spacious environment that made us feel at home rather than in a hotel. I couldn't have asked for more."

"I usually find something missing when ordering skillets, but the Chicken Skillet I tried (without bacon) arrived piping hot, just as I like it. The steam rising from the skillet and the soft biscuit reminded me of nostalgic Sunday mornings from my childhood. The potatoes and eggs were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was incredibly juicy—definitely not dry! Our server, whose name I believe was Alex or Stephanie (my memory can be a bit hazy), was fantastic. I had requested no bacon, and even though it was mistakenly added, she thoughtfully informed me before serving it. She never brought it to the table until it had been remade, which I really appreciated. Plus, the wait wasn’t bad at all; I initially thought it was due to the crowd, but it turned out she was simply focused on ensuring everything was perfect. As for my husband’s Camp Pancakes—oh my gosh! They were huge, very filling, and packed with S'mores flavor. They truly nailed it, making us feel like we were right by a campfire! Southern Belle's Plainfield has quickly become a favorite, and I can’t wait to try more items on the menu. The atmosphere wasn’t overcrowded, and our food arrived at just the right time. "A few weeks ago i had the best service. Food was typical diner food but black bear is always comfortable to sit in for a bit ..and my waitress was so awesome.Today I had mediocre service and really great food and very fast ..I was getting my car repaired and walked over. sometimes when you eat alone it's hit or miss.. Alot of waitstaff hates single seating diners as it's a waste of tipping time and you can tell when you are being served if you are being typecast as such. I usually end up tipping as I took two seats to make up for it. and all my years at this Black bear I always gets the best service and no one cares I am alone.First sign of typecasting was the fact that he was in a hurry to get my order without even letting me browse a bit. I told him i am not a breakfast person so i was not sure what to get.positive to that was my order went in pretty quick.but he put my water in the cup already for my tea so i did not get to use the water in the little pot as lipton tea bags cant be reused without killing the already lipton flavor..But that was minor.once i got my food i just sat reading the news on my phone cause I was alone. i did ask him for a box and instead f asking if i needed anything else i got the box and my check. unfortunately it was not my check. i sat for ten minutes and finally gave up and went and got a new check at the register.I still tipped 18 percent but it felt dirty.. as i usually tip 25 to 30 when i eat alone.not a Karen by any means..i was waitstaff i do get it..but stop generalizing people eating alone. we are not a waste of time.tipping culture is brutal.. you get a tip whether your service sucks or not.. but we get shoddy service and there is no recourse as the new world already spells out what your server expects when you pay with a card.i get it you are busy.. but serving is an acting job and we are all expecting a good performance.basically customers pay your bills.."
