"I want to start by saying that I travel across the country for work and stay at various hotels each month. I stumbled upon this place by chance, and I couldn’t be happier. The rate was around $200 for the night, and it was worth every penny. The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. I particularly enjoyed the host/waiter, who was incredibly kind and checked on us regularly. The restaurant served hot, delicious food promptly. The bartender crafted one of the best drinks my wife and I have ever tasted in the United States. (I typically try two or three drinks at hotel bars, often sticking with their specials or something simple to sample.) As for the rooms, they exceeded all my expectations. I recommend requesting a room on the top floor! The high ceilings, fireplace, and decor were simply stunning. It truly felt like being by the lake, combined with a spacious environment that made us feel at home rather than in a hotel. I couldn't have asked for more."

Sandbar menu! So so so good! Great easy service and selection. Still have drinks to offer and everything comes served and kitted to go. Great easy meal!

I could have happily spent the entire day here! Deb, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and made us feel completely at home. We will definitely be back. The view was absolutely stunning! Thank you!

We visited this restaurant for the first time last summer and enjoyed dinner on the patio with my wife and two kids. The setting was wonderful, offering some of the best views of Gull Lake. They had live music playing while we dined, making it such a fun spot! View menu

The menu this year is awful and the service worse. The only saving grace is the bartenders are always on too of things. If you are out on the lake a great place to make a pit stop for gas and drinks. Select somewhere else for meals. Hoping this is just a COVID unemployment/lack of workers thing.

My wife and I went here for lunch today. The staff was great, taking great care of us, especially with the bees outside. We dined inside. The food was very good and the service even better. Our server was right on point, making sure everything was good and checking on us regularly. Can't wait to go back again.

If you like tiny glasses of wine in plastic sippy cups, Moscow mules in plastic cups, and about 4 options for dinner, this is your place. The apps were pretty good. I know the employment crunch has been very hard on area restaurants but it was pretty embarrassing paying premium prices for that experience. The bill wasn't even itemized-just the total. Disappointing. View menu

The food at this resort is quite good. However, we were constantly bothered by flies throughout our visit. While I doubt this is a regular problem, it definitely took away from what could have been a five-star experience. I really enjoyed Dock 77, which had a lovely atmosphere with friendly, attentive, and well-organized staff. The cocktails were adorable, and I appreciated that the Old Fashioned came with a large ice cube! Ultimately, it was the flies that stood out as an issue for me. Also, take a look at the size of the half rack of ribs—it's huge!

We had a wonderful evening at Dock 77. Boated over and had a nice group of Dock support greet us. The outside was full so we sat in bar area with great view of lake. Our waitress we did not get her name she was awesome. They were very busy and she kept the smiles coming and made us feel welcome and well served. The wait was reasonable considering how busy they were. The chicken bruschetta sandwich delicious! The walleye chowder was awesome great flavor and wings hit the spot. Glad to see Dock 77 back to full menu and such terrific staff on board. One of favorite spots! We'll be back.

"First time here and found out Sherwood North only opened 10-days ago as the new owners took over this historic property. Wow! We have been staying in the area for 4 days and had been to numerous restaurants in the area. Hands down this is the best that we have been to. We started out with appetizers. I had the Pickled herring platter with pickled vegetables and crispy bread and pâté. The herring was two different ways and was accompanied by pickles, pickled onions andcarrots and crispy bread. The pâté was the richness needed to cut through the acid in the pickled vegetables and this plate was extremely well executed. It was the first time that I had seen pickled herring on a menu in the United States.I looked up the menu online and saw this item and made the decision to have dinner here based solely on this appetizer since I have never seen it outside of European countries. The second appetizer we had was the Brie Brûlée Board. Itfeatured toasted Brie Cheese, Crocotini Crackers, dried fruit, nuts and jam. The Brie was perfectly toasted and the jam was absolutely delicious with the right amount of sweetness to complement the cheese. The mildly acidic olives providedthe perfect balance point to counterbalance the sweetness on the board. The third appetizer was the Popovers served with honey butter and bone marrow butter. They were steaming hot and absolutely delicious. We actually used some of the jamfrom the Brûlée board and combined it with the honey butter and it was insanely good (I would ask for some jam it goes so well with the popovers). The popovers are a MUST HAVE! For a main course I had the pork chop with Apple horseradishglaze. This is honestly the best pork chop I have ever eaten. The bone in pork chop was perfectly glazed then grilled and it had just the right amount of char to allow the glaze to sear on the outside. It had a dash of sea salt whichprovided just the right amount of brininess to offset the sweeter glaze. Upon cutting into th"
