"A great find! Highly recommended. The restaurant is efficient, clean, and friendly. I ordered breakfast to go and the food was delicious. I had pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs, along with a refreshing coconut water. They offer a variety of hot and cold drinks, with the exception of their hot chocolate which I didn't particularly enjoy. Utensils are provided on the table, though they are for individual use only. Overall, a fantastic experience."

"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"This restaurant is far from the upscale experience it claims to offer. None of us could finish our meals, which ranged from the dry and unimpressive $24 burgers to the tough and tasteless $55 ribeye steak served with cold, outdated mashed potatoes. The overcooked spaghetti with watery sauce was equally disappointing. We ended up stopping to eat somewhere else on our way home. The ambiance felt dingy and cheap, and upon entering, we should have trusted our instincts and left right away. You can find my more detailed review on Yelp."

"Joey is THE BEST. When a restaurant is on the higher end of the price scale, they better deliver on all counts. Well, this establishment went above and beyond. We started off with the calamari. Yum! My husband ordered the 14 oz NY strip with mashed sweet potatoes and was extremely content with the choice. I had one of their salads and their Portobello mushroom quesadilla. Sooo good that I can't wait to go back. I wanted to try the crab brie soup but the waiter was very honest and said it was phenomenal but something to be shared. Next time! Our water glasses were always filled and the staff was courteous from the hostess to the busboys to our waiter. I have high expectations and did not walk away from this place disappointed in the least. The only recommendation I would have is a slight improvement on the chocolate cake. I would give that 3 stars. And, just my opinion, if you are a frequent guest always content but have one less-than-satisfactory experience, tell management before posting neg reviews that can't be taken back."

"La Vida Café is everything that a café should be. We came in and ordered “The Abe” with turkey bacon and spinach to add the Omelette with an added egg, spinach, mushrooms, roasted peppers, and tomatoes. The sandwich was by far the best I’ve had in a long time. It’s simple but full of natural flavor. The tomato was fresh and savory, the spinach was fresh and cooked but not burnt, the bacon was of quality and perfectly salted, and the toast was fluffy and moist. The omelette offers the same vibe and consistency. To top it off, the cappuccino was made with fresh bean and the oat milk was steamed to perfection. Most importantly, the owner is personable and the prices could not be more reasonable. It adds such a nice touch to the surrounding area. Definitely my favorite café in the area."

In addition to the delicious main courses, the pastry chef beautifully replicated a miniature version of our 3-tier wedding cake. A special shoutout goes to Jason , Sarah, and his amazing team for their exceptional communication and dedication to ensuring every aspect of our celebration was just right. "This busy popular sports bar and restaurant was serving specials as our group was walking past. We opted for drinks and appetizers on the way to another restaurant. The menu is extensive bar food which pairs well with the many choices of microbrews. It was a treat to enjoy several appetizers which we might have avoided if not taking the time. We were able to follow our team in a playoff college hockey game as we enjoyed the tasty apps. The wonderful weather this time of year encourages us to check out those great spots by walking as parking can be a headache around Chicago."

"I stopped by this cafe for coffee while exploring University City. The coffee was excellent and so was the service. In addition to the usual offerings, they also had almond milk available, which is not common for smaller cafes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that two of the cookies were vegan, and the one I tried was delicious."

"The Coffee is terrible, I got a cold brew, and it was extremely watered down, my friend got a Chai Latte, and it was watered down too. This place had such a strong negative energy. Especially from the two girls that was working behind the counter I should have gotten their names but they both look like Ellen DeGeneres. When my friend and I walked in the two women behind the counter were so rude and gave us a look as if we should not even be there. While we ordered their attitudes were awful. There is a better coffee shop nearby with great vibes, good coffee and an extremely nice staff called Knockbox Cafe the only reason I did not go here like I normally do is because they were doing maintenance inside."
