"This restaurant is far from the upscale experience it claims to offer. None of us could finish our meals, which ranged from the dry and unimpressive $24 burgers to the tough and tasteless $55 ribeye steak served with cold, outdated mashed potatoes. The overcooked spaghetti with watery sauce was equally disappointing. We ended up stopping to eat somewhere else on our way home. This is a kosher steakhouse and the prices are a little high. But, that's to be expected. It's also not open Friday evening or Saturday. The service is always excellent; I've eaten there quite a few times. I highly recommend the beer battered asparagus, the onion ring tower, and the steaks. Also, Leah's Back is the best drink ever! Genesis Steakhouse is the place to go for wining and dining guests as well as family lunchs and dinners. The waitstaff was available without being intrusive, our tuna, sea bass and filets were delicious and plentiful We started off the beef taco and mediterranen appetizers which were tasty and filled with flavor. We were a party of five and had a very enjoyable dinner at Genesis. Our waiter was so helpful; was there when we needed anything, giving great recommendations without hovering and without rushing us in any way. Noise was low so we could enjoy conversation. The main course was delicious and just the right portion for me but I wasn’t crazy about the desert.

I made our reservation through the Open Table app about 45 min before we wanted to go to the restaurant. When we arrived, we found out the restaurant was friggin’ CLOSED on Saturdays...wtf? I mean, I get the Kosher thing, but if they’re closed every Saturday, why the hell was I able to make a reservation? Luckily, Smith Wollensky was able to accommodate us, and we had a fabulous night out!

This is a kosher steakhouse, and while the prices are slightly on the higher side, that's to be expected. Please note that it is closed on Friday evenings and Saturdays. The service is consistently excellent. I've enjoyed some outstanding meals there. I highly recommend the beer, which pairs perfectly with the steak, as well as the delicious tower of beef. Also, Leah's drink is simply the best of all time!
