"I was a regular at Gina La Fornarina when it was a lovely Italian restaurant on the corner of 73rd and Amsterdam. It was my go to spot for unique and delicious food, great wine options and a pleasant atmosphere. I was so sad when it closed. So, imagine my excitement when I learned it had just moved South a few blocks to Broadway near 70th St. But when I recently met a friend there for dinner, I wasn 't even sure I was in the right place this is NOT the Gina La Fornarina I knew and loved! Instead, it now offers Mexican food as well as Italian; what an odd combination. They have retained some of the Italian items on the original Gina 's menu, but have eliminated some of their best, such as the unusual, and tasty, double crust pizzas. The menu and beverage options are predominantly Mexican, and the entire restaurant is decorated with Mexican flags, sombreros and flashy lights reminiscent of a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Don 't get me wrong, I enjoy Mexican food, but eating Italian food in a Mexican restaurant just doesn 't feel right. And, while my spaghetti and meatballs was as yummy as I remembered, the comfortable and charming atmosphere of the original Gina 's is gone; replaced by a completely different (and somewhat confusing) vibe that ultimately feels like they 're trying too hard to please too many audiences. Please bring back my Gina!"

"(Grade A The food was generally good. The Bolognese Pizza was awesome, the crust rates a neck of a lot better than it looks. We also ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, the Buffala Burrata (again awesome , the Papardelle alla Dominica was all also good. The Penne Putanesca had too much garlic for me, it overpowered the sauce. The mushroom soup was very bad for me, it was a little too earthy, will definitely not order it again. The desserts, we had the Pana Cotta (A , Ricotta tart (B+ and lastly the Tiramissu (C+ . The service was awesome, the owner even goes around table to table and makes sure to touch base, which is a nice touch."

"We waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to assist us in the restaurant. Finally got a waiter's attention and asked to place our order. The waiter explained that they were very busy and asked us to please be patient. After waiting for 10 more minutes without even being served water, we noticed a couple who arrived after us already had their drinks. We decided to leave and went to Pirozzi next door, where we were able to enjoy drinks and appetizers within 10 minutes."

"I rarely rate restaurants, but got this pop-up from OpenTable so why not. This place is just ok . Obviously price isn 't everything and I expected to pay a premium here, but the food was just so-so, and the service, was something similar to what you would expect at Denny 's. Yes, we ordered the tomahawk medium rare but the meat was lukewarm at best. We ordered the ribeye medium and it came out well done like you would expect at the aforementioned Denny 's or a Sizzler 's. The service? I don 't even recall her name. She always seemed in a rush to leave and didn 't really even look after our table. Look, I get it that maybe waiting tables isn 't your dream job, but if I 'm tipping you on a relatively high dollar total, it would be nice if the service didn 't make us feel like we were walking on eggshells when we wanted to ask a few questions about the menu. I 'm probably not explaining our interactions succinctly, but while she had a smile on her face, her demeanor was icy cold. And sure, I know that we aren 't at some gimmicky chain restaurant with singing, but why bother to confirm that we are celebrating a birthday if you don 't even wish him 'happy birthday '. So, to sum it up, APL, if your goal was mediocrity; congratulations! You did it!"

"So I was walking by and smelled the spicy sizzling beef on the sign out front, and since it smelled good, placed an order to go. I was able to tell them spice level I wanted (asked for hot) and it was tenderloin, peppers, chillis...served over white rice. It was tender and tasty, but a little expensive. Certainly better than regular Asian takeout quality so you get what you pay for. Portion was large enough (and my mouth was burning in a good way) that I had some leftover for my lunch the next day"

"Someone might want to tell the waiter about Open table, he didn't have a clue about Open Table or my reservation. Have to ask twice for extra bread then ask the other waitress to bring it. Also she had to bring extra water and my meal. I didn't understand why he was my waiter, he was constantly doing other things beside waiting on my daughter and myself. Food is good but service was horrible and a turnoff. I will come back wo the waiter"

"We took our ESL students to Wild Fish for a warm welcome and a relaxed afternoon where they could practice their English. As a teacher, I had previously chosen this restaurant for dinner. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was presented beautifully and creatively. The Sea Bass was delicious and cooked to perfection, just the way I like it. We've made it one of our favorite places to dine and to bring guests from out of town."

"Our family gathered here for lunch, and we had two kids with us. There were also other families with children in the restaurant. The view of the OB Pier and the ocean is fantastic. We sat upstairs, where there are both indoor tables and outdoor seating that overlooks Newport Avenue and the ocean. I ordered two tacos, which were very substantial. The shrimp appetizer was more than enough for our group of seven! This place gets really busy on weekends, so I recommend visiting during the day on a weekday instead."

"They have great happy hour drink and oyster deals so go early and then sit for dinner. Food and drinks were great and the service was amazing! We got the jalapeno tequila cocktail and the happy hour red Greek wine, both very good. For appetizers we got the dip platter and the shrimp loukamades. Both were a home run- definitely get the tzaiki it's was very fresh. We also got the caviar and crazy feta spreads that were delicious. For dinner I got the lobster pasta which was good but didn't have enough lobster for the amount of pasta, also wished it had a little cheese or something to break up the favor of the sauce. My friends god the lamb, scallops, and feta mashed potatoes with the short ribs. Scallops were the crowd favorite followed by the mashed potatoes. Overall great experience with a chic greek vibe."

"I made a last-minute reservation for a Wednesday at 6 PM, and I'm really glad I did. My girlfriend and I arrived right on time, and while there weren't many people initially, that changed quickly. This place is definitely a hot spot and fills up fast! A live DJ was playing when we got there, and the music was great. We managed to get an outdoor table, which was nice. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. We ordered several small plates of appetizers, all of which were delicious. They have happy hour specials that vary by day, and there are some fun choices to pick from. I highly recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make a reservation — don’t just show up expecting to be seated!"

"We had a reservation, but when we arrived, we still had to wait. The hostess seemed confused and flustered, so it took awhile before we were seated. Once at the table, we waited about 25 minutes before anyone came to take even a drink order, and that only happened because we stopped someone and asked them to find our server. The other hostess did come by more than once to apologize and did bring us complimentary edamame, which was nice. The food was good. I had tilapia which was very tasty. The only downer was that my friend's steak was overdone. The restaurant is very lovely and nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable. I would go back, but just be aware of slow service."

"Everything was great! Nirvana is the PERFECT name for this place. Happy, our server, was friendly and attentive. My friend had never had Indian food, and I think he experienced a little actual Nirvana when he did. Our herbal Samosa star was so delicious and for our main course we shared the Chana masala and Tandoori Lachs. we were so full, but still HAD to get some orange slices filled with sorbet before we left and of course they were worth the bloating. We will soon try many more menu items again!"
