"The taste of the food was between ok and good, nothing special. I had higher expectations after seeing reviews. I ordered a pasta dish with sausage. I guess pasta, sauce and sausage are homemade, but I was disappointed when the dish arrived with 3 small bites of sausage. I ordered a cocktail that arrived weak and mostly with ice in the shape of a juice glass. When the waitress noticed that I drank it in a few sips, I asked for another one, but without ice. What I got was an 8 ounce glass of milk with a dash of Kahlua in it. No way to impress. I just wanted a good drink."

"Been ordering at this restaurant for over 10 years food is usually always consistent and i’ve never had to complain. Tonight I had ordered the chicken gyro which I have gotten plenty of times in the past but tonight the sauce tasted like it had gone bad or something wasn’t right, I called them and asked them if I could get a different meal and the owner insisted that he tried the chicken and it was fine even though that wasn’t what I was complaining about. He told me there was nothing he could do about it and was giving me a hard time about a refund. He continued to laugh at me on the phone because I wanted a refund or a new meal. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 5+ years and I’ve never heard anybody speak to a highly paying customer. Can’t believe i’ve spent thousands here just to find out the owner doesn’t care about the quality of his food. Would give 0 stars after this experience if I could."

"A great restaurant still to be all the way ready to be just outstanding in the Michelin league I guess they intend to play. The place and the atmosphere is fantastic, with the kitchen wide open welcoming the guests upon arrival. Service is just correct (didn 't help that much when being asked about specific details of the dishes), the food is very good, handled very carefully, with vegetables from the organic farm the lodge has and that you should visit, and very nicely prepared (portions quite small though, from my point of view, specially entries and appetiser), I wish they were a little less pricey so you could try some more. Good wine selection in American wines (not so good in Spanish, for example) and great views to the mountains make it a great experience overall, of course if you can afford it (over 200$ per head with average wine plus the 'mandatory ' tip) Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"Overall: A very luxurious restaurant. The ambiance is expected of a fancy restaurant; quiet, moody, and classy. It was a busy Saturday when we went, but the staff were able to provide excellent service. The price is expected and comparable to othersimilar restaurants, but parking could be an issue during busy time. 4.5 out of 5. Service: Everyone was so attentive and politeto us. Jenny was our waitress but there were others that made the experience memorable. The food came out in a timely order. 5out of 5 Food: We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees, and drinks. They have a kids menu. Even the garlic bread they gaveus was on point. I was able to try the smoked salmon, chicken strips, spaghetti and meatball, pork chop, and ribeye. All entreeswere delicious! The smoked salmon was very interesting and different with the crispy bread and you can definitely taste thesmoke. The strips do not have your typical breading but better. Both the pork chop and ribeye were seasoned very thoroughlywhere you can taste the flavor in the juice. My steak was cooked to a perfect ???? medium. I dont think I can complain about anyof the items, taste wise. One minor complaint is the portion size on the kid 's spaghetti was too much. I 'd suggest lowering theprice and the portion to match the other items on the kids menu. 5 out of 5 Drink: I had a taste from my wife 's Tiki Tiki RumRum. It 's good, but for the price, I was expecting more. 4 out 5. The Bad: Nothing major."

"My husband and I visited the Ocean City area at the end of September and decided to return the following week to celebrate his birthday. We went for a bike ride down to Stone Harbor, enjoying perfect weather, a lengthy ride, and capped it all off with a delicious dinner at Island Grill. We were charmed by the tropical decor and the diverse menu, but we didn’t realize that Ocean City is a dry town, so we couldn't enjoy a celebratory glass of wine with our meal. Since it was the end of the summer season, some menu items were not available. I suggest adding an IRON CHEF Orange Glaze with Ginger sauce to the chef's offerings; it would add a tropical flair and some excitement to the dishes! Additionally, it would be great if they could improve their mango salsa. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and had a fantastic server. We’re looking forward to our next visit!"

"The food here is okay. There wasn't anything that was bad. In fact, the oyster rockefeller was one of the best I ever had. It had salty savory bites of bacon, sweet crisp bites of white onion, and plenty of cheese. But everything else was bland. I had the Baltimore something, and it was just bland. Minus the crab cake. That was filled with salt and old bay. My fiancée had the lobster ravioli, and the sauce was definitely made earlier in the day. It started to separate by the time we arrived around 8pm. But she licked her plate practically. Lol But the food was really fresh and juicy. It just lacked seasoning for me. Michelle was killing it. She was super friendly and deserves 5 stars. She was helping two peeps at the bar, family of 5 and two couples. She was making the drinks too and they tasted great. We will be back, I will just have to try something else."

"What a wonderful find! We flew in to Dallas for the weekend. I found this gem on open table and chose it for our celebratory dinner based only on the reviews. And boy were we pleased! The serving staff were so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Our meal did not disappoint in any way. We started by asking for the side of Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were happy to do it. Very yummy! Our steaks were as so very tender, seasoned perfectly, and cooked to perfection! The side of mac &cheese was creamy and decadent, and was plenty to share for three. We almost didn’t have room for dessert, but so glad we went for it anyway. The chocolate coffee cream brulee was a great encore to the meal! QAll accompanied by a lovely bottle of French wine. Perfect dining experience all the way around !"

"Not recommended. Vivante is a stereotypical hotel restaurant: a beautiful decor but poorly managed. We thought Vivante would be a perfect location for dinner before a show at the nearby Center for the Performing Arts, but we were wrong. We explained on arrival that we had theater tickets, and we were assured there was plenty of time. That should have been true, but waitress was inexperienced and poorly trained. Evidently there also were problems in the kitchen. The waitress took over 30 minutes to take our entree order, and the kitchen took almost an hour to prepare it. That is in spite of the fact I left the table three times to find a manager and ask for service. We had to eat hurriedly and rush to the theater."

"The venue was not staffed appropriately. Reservations were not required, open seating. Took over 20 minutes for the table to be acknowledged and served. The food arrived 1 hr later and when asked about the status of the food the server/bartender/cashier (1 person) stated the food is probably up then walked away. Food received was lukewarm and wrong. Terrible customer service not what I expect from the Marriott brand."

"I have been dining at the restaurants at Portola Plaza Hotel for the past 15 years, enjoying many meals. Jack's has always been my go-to spot for business breakfasts and lunches. However, since the recent renovations, I had not visited the Club Room for breakfast. When my largest client asked to meet on short notice, I suggested meeting for breakfast at The Club Room on Thursday morning. I made a 9 a.m. reservation using Open Table for the next day. Upon arriving a few minutes early, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked for the week and that the Club Room was not open. When I mentioned my reservation from the day before, I was met with skepticism and rudeness. This experience was insulting and embarrassing. It seems like the hotel is not interested in catering to local residents. As a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future."

"This was our second visit to The Wine Dive, and both times were exceptional. This time, we took the in-laws from out of town, and they were equally impressed. My father-in-law's comment as we were leaving: “You know, this is probably a place I would have driven past and not even noticed. I'm really glad you brought us here!” The young women at the hostess stand were cheerful and friendly, and we were seated quickly. We had made reservations, just to be safe. "Today, on Sunday 02/27/2022, I purchased a very good tripe soup, the food I always buy there. The only issue was that the cook mistakenly thought I was ordering soup for my dog, as they gave me two pieces of tripe and 2 huge bones. However, we should be serious, this is a place where they sell good food and should not risk losing customers over a small mistake like this."

"We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was fairly spicy. Each person ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then we traded around so that everyone could try several kinds. We were severed quickly which would be good for people who have an evening engagement. Our only complaint was that it was quick noisy which made it difficult to hear each other at our table."

"This is probably the worse dinning experience my wife and I have had on the island. The food quality is ok , but definitely more expensive for authentic Mexican food (which was expected . No complimentary chips and salsa (not a deal breaker, but it 's an authentic Mexican restaurant The service is less than adequate , they predominantly have two ladies working all of the tables, agree with other reviews in which ladies not as welcoming as other waitresses at other restaurants. That being said they do their job, but do not expect anything beyond getting your first beverage and your food arrival. You will need flag them down otherwise. All in all, the thing that made it a bad experience was the heat (pretty much feels like being outside in the shade, no circulation and the FLIES! We have been eating at many Kauai restaurants in similar environments and did not experience this. We were fighting off multiple flies throughout the whole meal, until the point my wife and I cut our losses and took food to go. I definitely to not recommend and will not be back."

"Lovely meal. Good place for a special occasion, especially if you can sit in the courtyard. Very good service from Michael Ann. Mains $19- V to $56. If you are from outside the US beware the add ons. Service 20% and other taxes make it about 30%. When the food and drink come to over $200 that’s another $60. Take the opportunity to go upstairs to the hotel foyer while you are there, that is worth seeing. They were also mid construction of the Christmas display, which looked like it will be quite something, so definitely check that out if you are visiting in the holidays. This was a special treat for us not an everyday occurrence. You are paying for the surroundings as much as the food and service."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."
