"So, a review of our recent trip to Amorette. Two of the four of us arrived earlier than the others. We were greeted enthusiastically at the front and settled into the lounge with a drink and snacks. The lounge is lovely and relaxing and a great place to have a drink and talk. Once everyone arrived and we'd had a cocktail, we were escorted to the chef's table, adjacent to the kitchen. The staff at Amorette is amazing. Our server was wonderful and the sommelier, Thierry, is knowledgeable and friendly and so much fun to listen to. By the end of the meal, we were conversing with the chefs (D&D does bring people together! and having an amazing time. I may have been a little tipsy by the end, as well 10 courses and 8 different wines will do that to a person. I've said it before and I will say it again the food and the service at Amorette are reminiscent of some of the best restaurants I have been to in New York. I do believe it has edged out One if By Land, Two if By Sea as my favorite restaurant at this point. At the same time, the service is not intimidating. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Onto the food! The amuse bouche was the same as on our last visit, which I think made us all very happy. Who could be unhappy with a bonsai full of delicacies? Pickled quail eggs and sesame cones full of goat cheese and blueberries started everything off right. The bread was also the same, as was the butter, both of which were delicious. The bread is light and fluffy and the butter is something I wouldn't mind bathing in. It's just that good. The third course was oysters. I eyed the plate with some trepidation. I do not like oysters at all. It's a texture thing. To me, they are the equivalent of salty snot. Really not something I want to ingest. But, as I have said, I will try anything once (I've had some amazing things and some really disgusting things this way . So, I tried one of the three oysters presented. And it was good. It was better than good. The flavors popped. I ate all three and would have eaten more! The fourth course made me so very happy. I love a good scallop crudo and this was a seared scallop with some delightful flavors. The presentation was fun, too, but what I really loved was the scent. It all just smelled fresh and oceany. The next course was ahi tartare. I was already staring to slow down a little here and realized I needed to pace myself so I could taste all the courses. Every course served is a full serving, not a tiny nibble. The ahi was delicious and I loved how the peanuts added a contrasting texture to the tuna. Pork belly came next. The only pork belly I've had before has been less than stellar and included in a bowl of ramen. This pork belly melted as it hit the tongue. It was accompanied by one of my favorite veggies beets! The beet greens gave a nice contrast as well and the beet ketchup was scrumptious. Onto course seven wagyu tenderloin. The meat was cooked to perfection. I was actually a little sad I could not find space to eat the whole thing. But do not fear it was not wasted others helped me out! It was flavorful and tender and accompanied by a presse of potatoes and truffle whose number of layers was discussed at length. Next was the palate cleanser. I hope Amorette keeps this course for a long while. The sorbet is lovely, but the pop rocks are so much fun! There were two dessert courses and both were incredible. The almond nougatine with ice cream and the chamomile tea panna cotta finished off the meal on a high note. There wasn't a single misstep in the entire meal. Add to that how incredible the staff is and how fantastic the chefs are, I would highly recommend Amorette to anyone. Go to the lounge and enjoy an evening. Order ala carte. Order a tasting menu. Do the chef's table. I don't think you will be disappointed by any of the experiences here."

"Rating: (5/5) By the Old Gods and the New, this place is a hidden gem beyond the Wall! I ventured into Sugarfish Sushi, far away from the Seven Kingdoms, and I must say, it was a journey worth taking. The taste of the East has graced the North, and I couldn 't be happier. Here 's my review: Ambiance: Sugarfish Sushi has a modest and cozy atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the chaos of the Iron Throne. The dimly lit, rustic interior is reminiscent of the Night 's Watch dining hall, and it sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Service: The service was as swift as a direwolf 's pounce and as courteous as the honor of the Starks. The staff, clad in their traditional attire, made me feel right at home. They even offered to melt the ice around my heart with their warm greetings and efficient service. Menu: Sugarfish Sushi offers a vast array of sushi options, from the classic dragon roll to daring White Walker specials. I tried the Dragonfire Roll, a fiery concoction of spicy tuna, dragon fruit, and jalapeños, and it was an explosion of flavors that would make even Daenerys Targaryen proud. Taste: The taste of the sushi was exceptional. The rice was as perfectly cooked as the potatoes at Winterfell, and the fish was as fresh as the snow on the Wall. Each bite was a journey through the Seven Kingdoms of flavor, and I savored every moment. Presentation: The sushi at Sugarfish Sushi is presented like a work of art, as if it were crafted by a Faceless Man. The attention to detail in every dish was remarkable, making it almost too beautiful to eat. But like an honorable man, I did not shy away from the challenge. Value: The prices at Sugarfish Sushi are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. A feast fit for a king, or in my case, a Lord Commander of the Night 's Watch. In conclusion, Sugarfish Sushi is a hidden treasure beyond the Wall that is worth every step of the long journey it takes to get there. Whether you 're a wildling or a member of the Night 's Watch, this place has something for everyone. The taste of the East and the warmth of the North combine to create a dining experience that would make even the grumpiest dwarf crack a smile. I shall return, and I encourage you to make the pilgrimage as well. For the night is dark, and full of delicious sushi. "Been wanting to try Sugarfish for a while after loving Kazunori for all these years; a bit let down with the food/more like a 3.5/3.75, but gave 4 stars for benefit of doubt. We arrived at ~720p on a Thursday and there were 32 parties ahead of us; was surprised because Google said not to expect any wait time, so just be warned. We decided to wait it out upstairs since we spent the whole day exploring and were called/sat ~905p. As many have mentioned the restaurant is super dark, but its a nice vibe and cozy with the candles. We both ordered the Don 't think. Just eat. Trust Me and the service begun very fast with the edamame, which definitely tasted like edamame ha. The tuna sashimi course was first and was honestly just ok. For the extra $16 compared to Nozawa Trust Me seems like you get yellowtail upgraded to an additional toro, sea bass upgraded to pink lobster, the crab hand roll upgraded to lobster handroll, and an addition of eel nigiri. A decent upgrade, but wish they included some kind of uni or scallop. The fish quality is above average, but honestly either the fish is cut thin or there is too much rice, I could not distinguish the taste of the fish that well. No bite from the night was really that memorable. The handrolls were great as always just like Kazunori with great contrast from the warm rice, crunchy seaweed, and cold fish. My gf didn 't like the additional eel course that much, but I thought it was fine. I 'm glad I got to try it and I think for the price its still a pretty good bargain , but I don 't think I would come back and will probably stick to a 6 set from Kazunori."
