"I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, so much so that I waited in the parking lot until they opened. The restaurant itself is beautiful and located in a lovely part of town. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I decided to try the vegan French Toast, and when it arrived at my table, I was impressed by how it looked. However, I quickly realized that what I had ordered was essentially just toast with cinnamon sprinkled on top, accompanied by some fresh fruit. This wasn't the dish I had anticipated after my long wait. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it."

"I decided to visit this restaurant with my family, and we loved it! The atmosphere was fantastic, even if you just stop by for takeout. They had wonderful live music, which added to the experience. I would definitely be interested in returning just for the ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious! However, I think the presentation of the takeout could be improved; I’d love to see more sustainable plates and utensils used. I highly recommend this place—be sure to try the enchiladas; they were amazing!"

"Wish I would have remember to take a picture before we were half-way done. Ordered the combination Guadalajara which was more than enough food for the both of us. This is probably the best Mexican food we’ve had in our 3+ years of living in Utah. Complimentary chips were exactly the way my wife loves them, thin and just a little greasy. Restaurant had a good vibe, and the service was excellent all the way around. Only complaint is we showed up at 545 on a Saturday night and our “30 minute wait” was closer to an hour and 15 mins. Fortunately it was well worth the wait. Should mention that my wife is an horchata aficionado, and she said this was the best she’s ever had. I think I’ll try the pina colada next time. Definitely had some envy as i saw others being served theirs. Last think you mention was the shredded beef and pork were both very tender and flavorful."

"This is a great little spot that's been here for years. It's a mix of Mexican/American cuisine.Drinks are well made and not watered down. I usually like having their menudo or their chilaquiles with a side of margaritas. The atmosphere is casual and layback, with the majority of their costumers being regulars. We'll priced menu as well. It's a good regular spot to come back and back again"

"I ordered 3 meals, including arroz compollo, a meal that frequently comes without rice and beans at other establishments. However, I wanted rice and beans and noticed that, on their menu, the dish was on a list whose heading noted rice and beans were included. Not trusting this, I asked the sever if these sides were indeed included with the meal. She turned the menu so she could read it and told me that they were included, as if I can't read. But when I got home, there were no rice and beans. Go figure. On the positive side, they included chips and salsa. But a handful of the chips were old. Really old. They had an off taste that was disgusting."

"I love this restaurant. The food is amazing. I go here with family and friends for birthday and special events. however they have started charging differently based on if you pay with card or cash. 1985, California passed Civil Code section 1748.1 that prohibited merchants from adding a surcharge (an extra fee) when customers pay by credit card instead of cash. However Margaritas illegally charges 4% for credit cards and asks for cash which is illegal under CA state law. Have triggered the state to audit this business's billing practice and won't support businesses that violate our state laws."

"I had a good experience overall at the restaurant, but unfortunately they forgot to include the mild and hot salsa I requested in my order. The zesty chicken burrito only had a small amount of zesty ranch sauce on it, which was a bit disappointing. However, everything else was excellent."

"Likely the most authentic tacos in the Triangle area. A bit off the beaten path and short on decor, it a a true rendition of the tacos we had at a roadside stand in Costa Maya, MX. Family owned and run. I finally got away from my taco habit and ordered the chili relleno, I asked for the spicy option. My Bride got the spinach enchiladas. Both of us had a beer (I had 2). Total, with tip was $35. Everything was great and the service was friendly and quick. Again, it is a bit out of the way, being about 10 minutes west of Chapel Hill on Hwy 54. If you 're into it, they have homemade menudo on weekends (not my thing) and ceviche tostadas. Check 'em out and their market across the road, too!

"Tucked away in a corner close to two awkwardly placed stoplights is a little Mexican gem with tight parking on an incline. But all of that doesn 't take away from what Plaza Garcia has to offer. If you are looking for superior customer service and great food at a reasonable (inflation adjusted price, this is it. On a hot summer day after a trip to the Juanita Friday market, we decided to grab some dinner even though it felt early bird(ish . The corn on the cob and the Salvadorian Horchata that we consumed at the market generated a kind of half empty half full hunger. We had driven by Plaza Garcia enough times to not ignore the 100% reopening and the packed tables. We caved! A decision that proved right I would say. We were seated right away and offered the traditional salsa and tortilla chips. We asked for hot salsa and the waitstaff got us 2 (a tomatillo and a chili . Very tasty and what can you say when you are offered seconds given that we ordered the Molcajete which does take time to make. We also got the vegetarian burrito. We were quite pleased with the Molcajete served with flour tortillas even though we could not figure out where the Nopales were hiding. Some of the best grilled meats and seafood. The rice and beans did not stand out as much...sort of like La Preferida if you know what I mean. The vegetarian burrito was decent though it lacked sauce on the bottom which would have really enhanced the flavor. Overall, a great experience and am sure it wasn 't the hunger writing this review : If you are looking to support small businesses, Plaza Garcia deserves your best shot."

"At 9:20, the manager insisted that they wait outside for the taxi. The little girl was only dressed in a T-shirt and shorts because it had been warm earlier in the day, but the evening turned windy and chilly. My friend pleaded with the manager to let them stay inside just a few more minutes until the taxi arrived, but the owner/manager was adamant that they wait outside. This lack of compassion is completely unacceptable, especially towards a 4-year-old girl and her father, who was visiting after being separated from his family for nearly nine months. While my friend tried to brush it off, I cannot overlook this incident. For a restaurant that claims to be family-oriented, they displayed a shocking disregard for the welfare of this father and his young daughter."

"Mexican food and sushi? this is your place! what seems like 2 restaurants in one, they give them 2 menus and although there can be a little overwhelming, first only think I want Mexican. or sushi? and choose a menu! the sushi was delicious, I had the crispy roll with some extra eel sauce, can never go wrong with it! my man had the Fajitas mixes he said he enjoyed a lot. Actually, if I had not believed sushi, we would have split the fajitas and it would have been enough for both of us. we sat outside, because the inside seats are not so private and there is not much space. it was a really nice day and when we went on a Saturday, it was surprisingly quiet. we were told about the person we went with that it was usually quite rebellious after dinner with much dance and even a live band. all in all we had a good time. the food was delicious and the service was fast and super nice. a little expensive, but this is somehow expected with a sushi restaurant. will definitely be back!"

"Hello everyone, So my wife said let's try this place for dinner, having never been there before. And I have to say, The sitting outside wasn't our option supposedly covid-19 reasons. The food was actually pretty good, got the cheese enchilada plate with taco, beans and rice. But having to sit outside, we were swarmed by flys. That will probably be the only thing to keep us from going back. Maybe once the dining room is open we might return."

"A Disappointing Experience: While delivering for a third-party service, I came across Mazatlan Aloha. I spoke with the manager about the challenges these services bring. He mentioned they had received a bad review due to technical issues with the app. I reassured him that I was a returning customer of three years, having brought my mother from Texas, new friends, and now my partner. That evening, my partner, whom I had dressed up for a special dinner, joined me as usual. Everything went smoothly until we ordered dessert, which we don’t normally do, and found a hair on her spoon. We both informed the server, who returned about five minutes later with the bill but no apology. She said she would get the manager immediately—yet nothing happened. When the manager arrived, I asked if he was aware of the hair incident. He said yes, and that’s why the charge for dessert was removed. I then asked why he hadn’t addressed it sooner. He replied he was busy the whole time and added he might adjust the price. I explained that I was there to support the local business, but it was very disappointing to see such a decline in customer service. He then proceeded to calculate the full amount for the rest of the meal anyway. The food and overall experience were just average at best. We will not be returning."

"I don't like to revert to leaving reviews like this but I'm rarely in your part of town as much as I used to be. This is the second time, in a row, that I've been let down by what's ordered. The first was a little over a month ago when I ordered the cheese dip with FRESH jalapeños, as shown on the menu, and pickled ones were in the cheese dip. When I placed my order tonight, I specifically said to the hostess, no sour cream whatsoever I don't like it even if it's in a side package. When the order arrived, I didn't open it because I had entrusted the hostess, Night H , to make sure my order was placed the way I had ordered. As you can see from the enclosed photos, I still tipped close to $3 without having seen anything. I left the event I was at, trivia night next door at Beer NV, and came home for a snack. Low and behold, there's sour cream. I don't have expectations when ordering from places as that creates disappointment when orders aren't met but I can safely say that tonight, I was incredibly disappointed when opening the container with the guacamole. Call me a male Karen' or a Chad' but when an order is placed, with specific instruction and it's not met, this is not on me. Your food is consistently delicious which explains three stars but I will not be spending my money with you or wearing the zip-up New Era hoodie I purchased from you a year and a half ago, for quite some time. Thanks for making it this far into the review."

"I’ve been to Rio Azul numerous times. Even twice in a row nights on my bachelor party back in 2019. Tonight pales in comparison to past experience. We were not approached for 20 minutes (literally). We ordered everything at once just because we didn’t want it to take any longer. We ordered 2 margaritas and a modelo draft. We got overly sweet and sour margaritas which I couldn’t taste any tequila and a bottled modelo. When the drinks were done we were never asked if we wanted another round (which we would’ve ordered beers instead). While waiting a very long time for a table touch or even our check we saw a table of 3 gentlemen get up and leave because they hadn’t been served except for chips and water. I had to ask the hostess if she could flag down my waitress because we wanted to lay and leave. The food wasn’t special like I remember. Just meh. Our reservation was at 7 and we didn’t leave until 845. Again, we only had 1 round of drinks. It was a disappointment and it used to be good. We always thought their food was better than Las Casuelas done the street. Maybe but anymore."

"The BEST BEEF ENCHILADAS truly stood out. After living in Houston for over two years and being fans of Mexican cuisine, we had tried many places but always ended up disappointed with the enchiladas. Today, that changed for us! Additionally, the woman who took our order was not only beautiful but also incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back!"
