"I absolutely love this restaurant! The portions are generous and the food is incredibly delicious. They serve complimentary chips and salsa, which is a nice touch. The dining area isn't very large, so it's a good idea to arrive early, ideally before the dinner rush. The staff is friendly and you can easily ask for more chips if you run out while you wait. They play wonderful traditional music (not live), and they have a great discount punch card: after five meal purchases, you get the sixth one for free. The staff is also very considerate and wears masks for everyone's safety."

"our second visit in queso, tonight, on Saturday. our last visit (a few months ago) was best rated moderate. now for our visit today. first the positive: the margarita was good! the ambiente was alive! now for the possibilities of improvement: the food quality was worse than the last visit; at the same time, dried rice and acid salsa were. the service was less than acceptable; no follow from our waitress. the ordered fresh Haveero sauce had to remind again (similar to the last visit) to finally get it. music: expects Mexican or Spanish music, but the live music was country. not only that the music was extremely loud, had to demand to be moved far away, and the singing was not of acceptable quality seemed simply to be poor overall, the visit was a catastrophe. After we have experienced it twice and both of them were less than acceptable, we will no longer plan to visit this place."

"I believe that this restaurant should be removed from OpenTable! The "reservation" they offer is not really a reservation at all, but rather just a place in line. My family of six made a dinner reservation for the designated time, only to arrive and discover that we had to wait for an hour. This is clearly misleading to claim it as a reservation."

"We were there on cinco de Mayo so the restaurant was filled with guests and bustling with activity including a Mexican DJ which gave our visit an added noise level that made conversation a challenge. My steak fajitas seemed a bit bland and not flavored with the typical spices most restaurants use but others in our group seemed to enjoy their food. Oh almost forgot...chips salsa are made at the restaurant and are delicious!!! Really top notch!! The service was a bit slow probably because of the number of guests but our server also lacked the friendliness we usually encounter. Not sure if she was nervous or what but she literally didn’t smile once during our 2 hr dinner. The owner and his wife (on the other hand) were very friendly and engaging and working hard to make the restaurant a success!! For this reason we would happily return."

"This charming little restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, beautifully decorated, with generous portions. However, the standout feature is undoubtedly the fantastic food. "I 'm so disappointed in the restaurant that I once loved. This is the 1st time we have been in since they remodeled. We barely looked at the menu because we know it so well ,or thought we did!. We ordered our drinks, a FROZEN margaritas, water, pop. No water, margaritas is nit really frozen. I say nothing just let it go. We order, I ask for a appetizer, I would like a cheese quesadilla I asked if I could substitute lettuce, tomato sour cream instead of spinach . I was told no problem. but actually charged 4.95 for what they call, salad )Our meal, asked 2x for napkins. Asked for more chips was told that I had to pay for more 3.00 a basket.Asked again for my water.When we got our bill we noticed how much the prices have raised. When we went to pay, we explained our concerns to owner. This part is hilarious, he takes 5.00 off but refuses to let me use my coupon.They have lost a valued, loyal customer in us buy last nights treatment."

"The restaurant was clean and our waitress was quick and efficient. I ordered birria tacos while my husband opted for a burrito, his first time trying it. The burrito was excellent and full of flavor. However, I cannot recommend the birria tacos as they lacked any taste and were quite awful. Despite this, I still ate them. Unfortunately, they fell apart easily and were overall disgusting. Even the consume' and green sauce did not help improve the flavor. While I usually enjoy Cancun food, I will definitely not be ordering the birria tacos again."

"Today, my daughter took me out for brunch at this restaurant. Everything started off well—the waitress was attentive, and the food arrived on time and looked delicious. I ordered the chilaquiles "don Rafa," but as I was eating, I discovered something foreign in my mouth that felt like plastic or possibly a nail. It was absolutely horrifying! We immediately called the waitress, and fortunately, the manager was also there. They comped the plate, but that's not the main issue. It’s shocking to find items like that in your food while you’re eating. It’s completely disgusting! I cannot recommend this place at all! I’m a very dissatisfied customer! Thank you."

"We had a large party on a Wednesday night the day before Thanksgiving, the place was really busy, they accommodated our group and the server was right on top of our needs, while the kitchen was a little slow (packed restaurant), the food all came outpretty much came out around the same time, orders correct and drinks were flowing. "Lulu’s Taco Shop is a spiritual experience wrapped in a tortilla. Five stars without even blinking. The enchiladas? Straight fire. Not like oh this is kinda spicy fire, I mean fire as in you might shed a single tear and reconsider every weak excuse for an enchilada you have ever eaten. The tacos are on a whole different level. Life transforming. One bite in and I started reevaluating my decisions, my job, my place in the universe. These tacos do not play around. They are loaded, perfectly seasoned, and somehow taste like love, chaos, and victory all at once. Even the rice and beans slap. Usually that part is an afterthought, but here it is like the supporting cast came to win an award. Not dry, not bland, just perfectly done. Service? Amazing. "On a positive note, the young lady who eventually helped us was fantastic and provided excellent service. The standout dishes were the Avocado Rolls, Kung Pao Spaghetti, and Butter Crunch Cake with Ice Cream. The food arrived in a timely manner and was well-prepared. The main issue stems from a lack of supervision once diners are seated. Service should happen promptly instead of allowing indifferent servers to dictate the pace. There needs to be more accountability; the host or hostess should be actively checking on tables to ensure they’re being attended to."

"I have been living in California for 18 years, with my husband on weekends we go to different areas and Los Altos is one of my favorites. We had lunch and stayed for coffee. Yesterday we tried this colorful place: The interior is very warm, there is order, the guys from the staff are very attentive and professional. I ordered chips and salsa and two salads and we sat outside on the wide terrace on the street to wait for the order, when I went to get it, what a pleasant surprise: the salads are huge, also delicious. It has many tables with umbrellas, the wifi is powerful and reaches well outside, by the way the key is Burritos =D the atmosphere was calm and the service was fast. It opens at 9:30 a.m. every day and from Sunday to Wednesday it closes at 8:00 a.m. Thursday to Saturday it closes at 8:30 p.m. Surely on my next visit to Los Altos I will return to this place. I highly recommend it. Update: Today we went for the second time for another great lunch with my husband, there were quite a few people in the line before me, finally a very nice guy took my order Lulu chopped Salad al Pastor and Beef Taquitos he told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes. As it was a short time I stayed inside the place and noticed that he took orders by phone too and they accumulated until there were so many that the delivery of our lunch took almost 40 minutes. It's a shame because the food is very tasty."

"Cute little place! I'd give it 3.5 stars. My friends and I often walk around New York. So when we feel like sitting down for a bite, we do a quick google search for local places. It keeps our taste buds open and ensures we don't eat at the same places every time. This restaurant isn't located on a busy street and it was kind of hidden/quiet which was perfect after our long day. The food was amazing, a bit pricey and the drinks weren't the best (I had a Piña Colada). I watched two other ladies walk up to the bar and complain about their drinks so I didn't feel too bad about not liking mine. The interior is warm and inviting, however I have had better customer service though this IS New York. Would love to know what you think if you go!"

"I ordered the steak burrito but received the chicken instead. I sent it back, and it was quickly replaced. Unfortunately, the steak had a lot of gristle and was light on the meat while being heavy on beans, rice, and lettuce. It felt like a consequence for returning the wrong order. Additionally, the steak wasn't well-seasoned. I tried a piece of chicken from the chicken fajitas and instantly regretted not sticking with the chicken burrito—it was DELICIOUS! My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas, and those were fantastic as well. Our server was very polite and made sure our drinks were always topped up."

Unfortunately for my budget it was a little pricey so I probably won't be visiting as frequently as I would like."
