"Very unpleasant night over all, for everyone involved. This chain doesn 't like single women, even professionals, period. They will push back and continue to make seating very difficult. They did this in California and they continue to do it here, so it 's a cultural miscalculation but a bad one at that. I simply asked for a booth, and got a lot of side glances, trying to figure out the seating with a half-filled restaurant. Then the receptionist asked (who was the manager are you OK with a half booth? . I said it would be OK if not joined next to a family. Well , she stated flatly, we are a family restaurant. Mind you I sat next to a family in a half booth in California and there were quite a few kids who were extremely unruly, throwing food, throwing tantrums, etc. The parents were positively irresponsible and it was a nightmare. But again, demonstrated zero respect, no courtesy, could be bothered, an absolute misogynist racist. Finally, they sat me in a back side section with booths, and the waitress walked past my table several times without acknowledgement. After twenty minutes or so, I just KNEW I wasn 't going to get served. She could have briefly stopped just to say I 'll be with you shortly as many do. Not this waitress! So I jumped up, said I was going somewhere else in the restaurant and promptly sat myself down at an empty table in the main dining room. This didn 't go well for the staff so they asked me if I was switching tables. I replied in the affirmative. I asked to see the manager. Again, the young girl who was the host magically became the Manager . She decided to take my order and then everything was OK.Professional women have been mistreated at Olive Garden all across the country. But I say it here because I am fed up with these franchises being so bold as to be insulting when the seating decisions come into play. Who is good enough; who measures up, who has more money, more people in their party....who? They have obviously scaled down their dishes for more money (my meat sauce on pasta was positively atrocious, like out of a can. So no more turn key; now they are literally 'out of a can ' with the turn of a can opener, like Hormel. Disgusting stuff! . They need people. They need business travelers. But I 'll never be back, and I 'll make sure that everyone I know understands that. Your time is coming. Olive Garden will soon be a thing of the past. And for that, I have all the patience in the world to wait for it to happen."
