"It's a common occurrence at many restaurants. You sit down at your local diner and see a group of 10 kids come in, order only 2 orders of fries to share, and then leave without leaving a tip for the server. Parents should do a better job teaching their children about the importance of tipping and treating others with respect. It's not right to treat servers like they don't matter. Remember the saying, "don't poo where you eat" - be kind and show respect to everyone, including your server."

"This is my hands-down, favorite place I 've ever had vegan Chinese. Their Kung Pao chicken is to die for, as is everything else I 've ever tried. I have to admit, I tend to get the same things when I eat here because I love them so much (the Fried Chicken Legs, served with sweet chili sauce, are amazing) but their vegan menu is very extensive, offering everything from Sweet and Sour Shrimp to General Tso 's Chicken. The staff is very friendly and the service is super fast. Portion sizes are excellent as well, and you 're given the choice of either white or brown rice which I like. I 've brought non-veg friends here and they said their dishes were great as well. Highly recommended!"

"Hospitality and service at this warm, attractively decorated restaurant, is excellent! It's not fair for me to review their food. I don't like Indian cuisine. Having said that, the chicken curry was decent as was the onion naan. Another dish, with requested medium spicy seemed way to hot; but I'm not a good judge. Soups were okay, though nothing special."

"The food at this restaurant was terrible. There were only 4 tables, but a Quinceanera birthday party in the back. I will not be returning. The Chicken Francois tasted like it was leftover and reheated. The pasta with marinara sauce had a burnt garlic taste. The shrimp were not properly cleaned and deveined. The cocktail sauce was old."

"The food was good but the music (not dinner music, but club music) was insanely loud. When we asked if they could turn it down, they said it only has one volume. It was hard to talk, think, let alone eat in that environment. When we left, you could hear the music a block away. Unless you want to be in a club-like place to eat sushi with your brain and ear drums blowing out of your head, I don’t recommend and I will not be back. Too bad, because the sushi is pretty good."

"We were greeted on the door by a energetic young man Malik Arjun who seated us right away. We had gone there at an odd time of 230 pm. He helped us pick what to order. He even brought us appetizers for free since they were wrapping up the buffet. He ensured that our food was made quickly and delivered promptly. So he gets 10 on 10 on service. Now talking about the food, It was on point... delicious and flavorful. We ordered Mysore masala dosa, Utpam, Goat Sukha with Naan. All the items were excellent. Peanut chutney very yum. Sambar could have been hotter. Missed coconut chutney. The place was clean, appropriately decorated and seemed reasonably well maintained. I found out that the owners were software engineers and were doing this on the side. The lady (owner) was professional and very good to talk to. We also bought some sweets and pastries to eat at home. Haven't tried them yet. Overall, I would say excellent experience. We were hungry and have high standards for food and this place delivered."

"Carlos our server was very attentive. Stir fry was delicious just a little too much sauce pooled at the bottom. Chilean Sea Bass excellent along with the wrinkled green beans , crispy rice and tuna, and Scorpion roll. The Sushi Nigiri Assortment portions were disappointing."

"Overall, my experience at this restaurant was somewhat disappointing. The main reason for this was the poor service we received. Despite having reservations for 7:00 PM and arriving on time, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to be seated. This was not a major issue, but the server's behavior really affected our enjoyment of the meal. We felt neglected and the server appeared indifferent, making numerous forgetful mistakes. If the service had been better, this would have been a positive review. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, although the portions were on the small side (which seems to be a common occurrence due to Covid). The initial wait may have been due to overbooked reservations, especially on Valentine's Day. We will give this restaurant another chance, hoping that our experience was an anomaly. It's unfortunate to have to give a less favorable review due to one employee's poor performance. We are optimistic for a better experience upon our return."

"One of the classics has seen a prolonged slump, but word on the street (and the sign out front) is that they 've changed management. Some say they 're back to their old excellence; I had to see for myself (and for anyone who cares what I think). Scallion Pancake: Excellent. Near-elite to elite. Light but thick, with nice moist chewiness in addition to the crispy. Thicker-than-usual and darker-than-usual ginger sauce. BBQ Ribs: Well above average but neither fresh nor elite. Good glaze. Nice char. Meat moist in some spots, disappointingly dry in other spots. Most of the flavor came from the classic bright red glaze. Note: their signature Chinatown Ribs, which put them on the map decades ago, are no longer on the menu. Pork Fried Rice (on a combo plate): Above average. Not too light but not nearly dark enough to claim old school Chinese excellence. The pork nuggets were fresh, sizable, and moist. Solid though. Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a combo): Average. Not a good meat-to-batter ratio. Paler color than most. Red sauce mostly sweet. Five fingers, two pineapple chunks, zero cherries. Egg Roll: Average to slightly below. Slightly smaller than most. Dry inside and out. Grassy celery (and I like celery as well as cabbage, so not a stylistic issue). Keep it away from the pupu flame to prevent forest fires. Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce: Above average. Good consistency, but bland other than some very light black bean flavor. Slightly chalky. Not salty (don 't want a lot but want a little), not greasy (ditto), not sweet (don 't want any). Shrimp were average: very tender, no snap. Vegetable Lo Mein: Above average. Vegetables bright, fresh and perfectly cooked. Light but adequate sauce. Good clean flavor. Good mouthfeel. Yu Hsiang Beef: Looked great, great tenderness, much better than most Chinese restaurant beef, but had a very foul odor and flavor seemingly from a beef handling issue and not a Chinese ingredient issue, so we sent it back (both we and they were polite about it). This had great promise, so I 'd try it again (and if same odor I 'll chalk it up to an ingredient that 's supposed to be that way). Service: Excellent. Atmosphere: Minimalistic. They 've specialized in old school Chinese for years, but don 't have the old-time tiki decor similar to Tahiti in Dedham or Cathay Pacific in Quincy. Approach: While they still serve the old school appetizers and classics like egg foo yong and shrimp in lobster sauce, my gut tells me the best things here are the healthier entrees, such as the Yu Hsiang Beef and anything with green vegetables. I 'll probably check out more of those next time. Regarding the recent nosedive in quality but claims of a more recent resurgence, I say this: One man 's just because the pendulum hasn 't swung all the way back doesn 't mean it 's not swinging back is another man 's just because the pendulum is swinging back doesn 't mean it 's swung all the way back. Halfway back is a glass half full. Celebrate. Or not. It 's up to you. Me? I 'm probably going back for more evidence. They were too good and have too much promise to shrug the comeback off, even if it hasn 't fully proven itself yet."

"I love Linda. She always gets my order right. They have great food and sushi, too. They deliver! That is so convenient when you just don't wanna go pick it up. My favorite dishes are: Singapore Mei Fun Mongolian Beef or Chicken Shrimp with Lobster Sauce My children love: Beef on a Stick Crab Rangoon Home Style Tofu Fried Scallops Sweet Potato Roll Sesame Chicken. They always give us a free soda, too. If you haven't tried it, go ahead! It is superior to Chop Sticks and Peking"

"I was in Chicago for a conference and the organizers ordered a Kosher lunch from Shallots Bistro. They ordered the menu item 'The Bomb ' it was a pretzel bun filled with all sorts of deli meats and sauces. It was quite delicious, which is good because they ordered it 4 times that week! One of the evenings my wife and I went out to Shallots and we had a wonderful time, the steaks were expertly prepared and drinks were refreshing and the dessert quite interesting. Great place for a special night out."

"One of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked to order and quite reasonably priced compared to other similar restaurants. Lesser rating for service was for the sour bartender who gives impressions he hates waiting on people.. perhaps a different occupation choice is warranted! All other staff were friendly helpful and terrific! Beautiful views of the grounds from plentiful windows. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Steak"

"I have traveled the world eating sushi (all over United States, Central/South America, Europe, South Pacific, and of course even Japan). Sushi Hana is my favorite sushi outside of Japan, this is more to do with nostalgia and not the taste or quality as sushi Hana excels in taste and quality. It’s always a pleasant experience as the staff are excellent, and a special shout out to Alan who is always a pleasure. Highly recommend, and make sure to try the baby octopus sushi it’s amazing with a bit of wasabi, soy sauce, and wrapped in a shiso leave (the green leaf in the picture enjoy!"

"The food was, again, OUTSTANDING and we ordered extra so that we could take some home for meals on another day. The service was very good, but the entrees came out just a few minutes after our appetizers and I had to TWICE explain to the Food Runners to take them back and keep them warm as we were just starting to enjoy our scrumptious appetizers. Unfortunately, there was a VERY loud woman (a nurse sitting at the booth right behind us and she was complaining LOUDLY to her 3 co-workers about some work experiences that she was not happy about. I glared at her several times and she either didn't care (She was young; probably late 20's. and/or hard of hearing and didn't understand. The others at her table should have said something to her, but they were pretty quiet and think that they were just hoping that she would stop. Not Chang's fault, but if they see this loud woman again, they should seat her in the bar or at an outside table."

"They sadly exchanged their menus and service for an obscure online system. You need to use your phone to see the food available, and pay from your phone to get an order in. No more service, no human contact, now you're with your date stuck on your phone trying to figure out from the dishes' pictures if that is what you like (the waitress won t answer questions). Then you have to type all your info in (name, address, email, phone, the name of your aunt) followed by your credit card information. I don't come to a restaurant to be on my phone. This used to be my favorite Sushi place. No more.... I suggest the Vietnamese Restaurant right behind on Cameron street instead, you will be greeted there with a good old fashion smile."

"Great hibachi experience.. My family of six dines every year on Valentine's Day at a Japanese steakhouse and hibachi. We have eaten at several in several states. Ichiban is a clear cut above the rest. We we're seated fairly quickly, service was good, wine list ample, sushi arrived quick and week prepared, and the atmosphere is great! Paul, our Chef, put on a great show, but more so served great food. The meat and vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. His show made me laugh out loud on several occasions. The restaurant is clean and appeard to be well run and staffed. Those are all great reason to dine here, but the food is the best reason. Seasoned well, cooked well, tastes great. Thank you Ichiban for making our tradition just a bit better."

"I ordered vegetable egg Foo young for takeout. I was expecting to find broccoli, peppers, and onions, but instead received frozen peas and carrots. I was not happy with the quality of the vegetables. The service for takeout was good. The meal was for lunch and cost between $20 and $30 per person. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 3."

"They seated us a large room which happened to be next to a large party. It was very noisy. We did move to a high top booth and sat next to the bus lady who cleans the tables. She was on her phone when not busing tables with her pocket book etc. I mean what restaurant lets that happen? It appeared most of their service was take out. The food wasn’t any better. I asked her for shrimp in a spicy brown sauce (not having ever been there) and was given shrimp smothered in vegetables with a little sauce in the bottom. My wife had fried shrimp and scallops. While the shrimp weren’t bad the scallops were horrible! What we didn’t eat we left there. Never to be asked how our meal was."

"Ok so I believe this place is a victim of Grub Hub. Grub Hub messes up an order, takes forever with the delivery and then the customer blames the restaurant and gives them a bad review. Because this place having 2 1/2 stars makes 0 sense to me. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever had? No but it's pretty damn solid for what it is. So that's the reason for my 5 star review it's really more of a 4 star place but I'm just kind of evening out the abysmal reviews they've gotten in the past tbh. Good things about this place. 1. It's not super expensive 2. It's actually open late (something that is incessantly rare in Boston, especially during Covid) 3. The food is honestly pretty good. It's not re-inventing the wheel or anything but it really does your average American-Chinese food well. 4. It's fast. I'm not really a delivery guy tbh with this place, I live way too close to do that. But when I order pick up it usually takes less than 10 minutes. I typically get one of the stir fries with fried rice and I honestly haven't one that's bad yet"
