"I tried three appetizers and two pizzas, starting with the appetizers: Butter Chicken Fries, Samosa Bites, and Karahi Wings. The Butter Chicken Fries featured seasoned chicken and a rich, creamy butter sauce that was flavorful and delicious. However, I felt the fries could have used a bit more salt to enhance the overall dish.
The Samosa Bites were perfectly crispy and packed with a tasty filling of potatoes and peas. I loved the contrast of textures—the soft potatoes combined wonderfully with the crunchy samosa dough. The Karahi Wings were moist, but I found myself missing the acidity that the menu mentioned was included from the lemon. While I enjoyed the heat, I wasn't particularly fond of the wings as they lacked the bright flavor I had hoped for.
For the pizzas, I ordered the Lamb Kebab Pizza and the East Meets West. I absolutely loved the Lamb Kebab Pizza! The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the green curry sauce really gave it a fantastic finishing touch. This pizza was well-conceived and executed, with flavors that harmonized beautifully.
The East Meets West pizza is a clever concept that blends East Coast and West Coast styles with Indian flavors. While it tasted good, I found that the curry sauce was not as prominent compared to the Lamb Kebab Pizza. I would have appreciated a bit more sauce to bring it together like in the other pizza.
Overall, Parktown Pizza offers great Indian-style appetizers and pizzas. If you love Indian pizza or are looking for excellent appetizers, I highly recommend checking this place out. I can’t wait to return and try more of their offerings!"
