"I've visited a few local restaurants in Waco, and all of them were really good, I went here for lunch to see if I could keep up that streak, and this restaurant surely didn't break it. Food Me and my parents got rather basic meals, but even then, they were all really good. I recommend trying their more interesting foods though, I'm sure those are even better. I got the BLT, my mom got the regular burger, and my dad got a chicken sandwich, all came with a side of fries, for my meal I added some watermelon along with my side of fries as well. Everything tasted really fresh and was packed with flavor. The buns were toasted perfectly along with the meat, and the mayo and condiments were really good as well. My watermelon was pretty good too, I was expecting an average watermelon, but the freshness and the nice balance of sweetness and flavor made it a little extra special. The only thing I didn't enjoy as much were the fries. They were a little mushy but had a home style taste. I appreciated that it wasn't loaded with salt too, but I would've liked more seasoning on it. It's not enough to bring it down a star because I enjoyed it overall, including the meals. Definitely recommend the food. Service The waiters were nice and consistently checked up on us to see how we liked the food or if we needed anything else. It wasn't anything special, but it was great overall. The food came out pretty quickly, and we spent about 30 minutes in the restaurant, great service overall and there weren't any major problems Atmosphere I think an atmosphere deserves five stars when it's not just good, but great, and special in a way. This place had so much old fashioned detail and there was a lot to look at while you sat down. Something else I thought was neat was that there were notes inside the crevices in the brick wall of the restaurant. They each had a message inside to read and was something I distracted myself with while I waited for my food. Another cool detail was that the food was served in hubcaps, you can't tell with my pictures, since it was covered in food and was shown on the bottom of the plate. Overall, really awesome atmosphere and it wasn't too cramped either. I was really satisfied with this place overall. The atmosphere and the food is what made this place stand out among the rest. I wanted to try their pies but ended up being too full. That's something else this place is known for apparently. Props to the owner for a great restaurant!"

"Panita Thai Kitchen is one of Atlanta's more unique Thai restaurants. Here are a few reasons why: 1. All seating is outdoor. 2. The restaurant is owned and primarily operated by two people, a husband wife duo. 3. They put their own twist on Thai cuisine, both in taste and presentation. 4. The seemingly overdecorated enclosed patio makes for a very interesting dining atmosphere. The restaurant is named after Panita Thammaset, the wife owner. Her husband, Panjakarn, does most of the cooking. The couple are from Chiang Rai, Thailand, which is a large, mountainous city in Northern Thailand. Panjakarn is very passionate about his cooking and it shows in the dishes he creates. You can find just about every typical Thai dish on the menu here from curries to noodles to soups and seafood. They also serve many vegetarian friendly entrees. Starters such as skewers, soups, and salads are anywhere from $7 10 each. Entrees are anywhere from $13 to $20+. A few of the dishes I've tried include: Thai Fish Cake $7.95) five deep fried fish cakes mixed with spices, red curry paste, and a sweet sour sauce Ped Nam Pheung Honey Duck, $18.95) boneless roast duck served with fruits and vegetables Chicken Curry $12.95) chicken served with red curry sauce Thai Fish Cake is one of my favorite appetizers to order at Thai restaurants. They are succulent deep fried fish patties and are normally served with a refreshing cucumber vinegar sauce. Panita has very interesting twist on this dish. They serve the fish cake inside of a coconut and mix it with different spices, pickles, shredded carrots, basil, and other ingredients. To be honest, I'm not sure if I like Thai fish cake served in this way. The fish cakes, while delicious, are drenched in sauce and I'm not a big fan of the sour pickles in this instance. I'd rather have the fish cakes served traditionally, by themselves. The presentation is nice, however. The Honey Duck is OK. The duck is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The meat is salty, though. This dish is served with fruits such as apples and pineapples. An entire lime is squeezed and used in the sauce. Vegetables include broccoli. This entree is served on top of a large sheet of foil which is shaped and crafted to look like a duck itself. Sweet. The Chicken Curry is good. This is standard red curry with chicken. The chicken is fresh, tender, and flavorful enough. The curry sauce is rich and thick, almost too thick. Vegetables served with include green beans. The Chicken Curry is served in a metal bowl with handles and a scoop. All of this is placed within a hollowed out watermelon cut with jagged edges. The owners Panita and Panjakarn are very friendly. Note that since this is usually a two person operation, service can be slow during peak times. The restaurant's business cards are made out of rolled and pressed flowers, so they have an aromatic scent, with gold type. Since seating is outdoor, you'll naturally want to go on a day when the weather is nice. In the summertime, they have fans blowing. In the wintertime, they have heat lamps overhead. Panita Thai Kitchen is located behind Surin of Thailand. There are free parking lots directly next to and across from the restaurant. You can also park on the neighborhood side streets."

"Solid place to grab a bite to eat! The menu is very inclusive for various diets. A carnivore, a vegetarian, and a pescetarian were all able to eat just fine. Even when busy the pace of the food from the kitchen flowed well. Inside: Clean and cozy. There are a handful of tables up front and then just a bit past the counter there is additional seating. If you're sitting at the front just be prepared for the influx of people coming and going! I would say an average of 30 heads for capacity at tables, probably more with optimal group sizes. 5-6pm rush: It exists, which is a good thing. This place is popular and it deserves to be! We were able to grab a small table at the front after placing our order (small wait for the stuffed wings) and then we moved to the back once a table cleared out. There is probably plenty of space for most of the day but it's definitely possible for there to be a wait for seating (happened to two groups that came in behind us, who just ordered carryout instead). Service: Staff was friendly behind the counter and enthusiastic to help answer questions or customize orders. The kitchen staff was in a good mood and the server was attentive and friendly. Food: Dishes came out clean and well plated, the food looked like how it was advertised on the menu and was fresh. The stuffed wings can be piping hot when you bite in to them! The wings I had were a bit plain, but they came right off of the grill so I just gave them a splash of some sauces and they were good to go. Location: They are right downtown so it's easily accessible to stop in and grab a bite. Parking in front is limited, if you're the lucky one of five or six you're fine, otherwise there's parking in back on the side when you're approaching the restaurant. It is at a pretty janky intersection, so if you're not familiar with the area I would turn in sooner to hit the side back parking. They are on the outskirts of the eastern drag of college, but makes for a fun night of walking up towards Lawrence campus (or vice versa) when it decides to not be winter outside."
