"OK... where do I begin? I've had issues with this place for years, but keep going back because it's the only place in Wrigely to get a halfway decent actual handmade burger and not a frozen patty. They closed down for the entire winter, literally opening the first day of baseball season. I'm guessing this is due to the astronomical prices during the playoffs affording them to take months off. Good for them, but not good for someone who lives in the neighborhood. You are serving a neighborhood, not just Cubs fans who drive in for games. They NEVER seem to have specials. I went on a Sunday night. Why are there no specials? Not like it was packed, but again, they seem to cater only to Cubs fans during Cubs games. I even contacted them about it over the offseason, and not surprisingly, received no reply. They removed the tater tots from the menu, charged me for a burger that the menu says is served me fries that clearly were made earlier in the day, and a burger that likely was as well. Fast service is good, but a burger and fries should take more than five minutes to make and serve no matter how dead it is. During Cubs games, they will not allow you to order take out unless you come in there and wait for it, the overall level of service is not good not surprising when they close for months and only have seasonal staff, and they have been shut down for health code violations. The only redeeming quality they have still is that I can have my dog on the patio. I wish that they would focus on bringing a quality product to the neighborhood, but much like the Cubs themselves, they seem to really only care about the money at the end of the day, and unfortunately there are enough tourists who will not care how bad the experience is, when they can be sitting across the street from the wonderful office building that now blocks and hint that there is a baseball park behind it. Let's see if I get a reply to this HAHAHA"

"This has been my go to burger spot in Miami for the last few years. They rank in my top 5. Lokal has a handful of surprisingly good options other than burgers on their menu that I’d recommend such as their Gator Bites, Mexican Chili, and Salmon BLT. They also have a good selection of beers both in the fridge and on tap! My go to is usually their 50/50 burger or the latest Addition to the menu, the bababooey burger which comes with caramelized onions, apple and Brie cheese. It’s sweet, delicious, and awesome! The most popular burger is the Guava Burger. The ambiance gives a 1990s dive bar/hangout spot. It’s a perfect spot to just kick back and enjoy a bite and brew. Service is for the most part, great! You occasionally run into an off day or just a very busy hour which can hinder any staff but overall the staff here is friendly and does a good job. If you’re there, ask for Daisy, she’s one of the managers and she always makes our stay feel very welcomed and taken cared for. She’s a bright spot to this place. The one ripe I have experienced over the past year or so, like most other establishments in Miami, has been the inclusion of an automatic 20% gratuity charges both for in person AND online orders. As much as I agree that the staff should be taken care of for their services, I do believe that this allows for service to not be as high sometimes knowing there is an automatic gratuity included. I’m also not the biggest fan for including auto gratuity on an online order that I physically am just simply going to pick up myself. This could lead to customers looking elsewhere. Overall, Lokal is a staple in the Grove and a very good spot for a very good burger and a beer. Still one of my favorites."

"I went here on a Thursday night. You will have to find parking here which might be a bit tricky if you don't know the place. First, make sure you download the PayByPhone app so that you can pay for your parking. Secondly, You will have to park North of the restaurant because you won't find parking South of the Restaurant. There are some side streets where you will find parking and you'll also have to beware of the No Parking signs. I was greeted warmly and exceptionally. I don't remember the names of the waitresses but they were great. The wait to be sat down was none and the waitress was ready for me a little after I had sat down. Before I sat down, there was a bit of water spilled on the table and I told the waitress not to worry, that it was fine, that I could just sit there. She insisted on wiping down the table, which she did. Also, since I was on Keto they offered to use lettuce wraps instead of hamburger buns without me even asking. They did the best to get the nutrition facts for the burgers as well but unfortunately they didn't have these. I sat outside on the bench tables and watched people walk and cars pass by which wasn't too bad. I also got to enjoy a bit of the Wynwood feel by sitting outside. If you're not down with traffic noise then I suggest you sit inside because there's a lot of that when you sit outside. However, I really enjoyed the fresh air and the occasional people walking by. Also the music inside is a bit too loud for my taste. The music they were playing outside however was perfect. The inside of the restaurant is also nice, I like the decoration and it has a warm feel to it. Sort of like you're in a medieval tavern from Game of Thrones. To go on, I picked the Frita Burger. It was like a 15 minute wait before the food got there. Not a long wait. The Frita burger was absolutely magnificent and so were the fries. The burger had Guava Jelly which gave it a sweet taste like no other. The fries were great too. That burger was cooked to perfection. They have a huge selection of craft beer which is freaking awesome. I'm not a big drinker, specially during the weekdays so I had the Kambucha which was great if you like it, I had never tried it before. There was no Diet Coke or sugar free Red Bull or I would have taken that. There is however regular Red Bull. Once you're done with your food then I suggest you take a walk by heading North on North Miami Ave. because there's a lot to look at. You will find a lot of beautiful art on the walls and shops which might catch your attention. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!"
