"I’ve been ordering delivery from here for years as it is not far from my house. Even though it says vegetarian, they are all vegan and use soy protein. They do have tofu dishes as well. It also has Japanese food so you can get miso soup and veggie sushi as well. I have never eaten inside, but maybe one day I will. Love this place!"

"First post-COVID visit to the dining room. Parallax's provisions seem sensible no paper menus, all staff masked, tables distanced, ample sanitizer. Felt very comfortable. Only downside to the experience was that we were seated next to the kitchen more bustle and noise than ideal Staffing and attention we received were lavish (perhaps a plus of distancing), food delicious, novel and with beautiful presentation. Thai sausage extremely tasty and unique. Parallax reminded me of everything I had been missing under the shutdown thanks"

"Worst Chinese food I ever ate. Ordered 100$ worth of food for family and guests and was disappointed beyond words. General Tsao’s Chicken and Sesame Chicken were impossible to chew. Seemed like they were cooked on Monday and refried 5 days later on Friday. Ordered Yellow Tail and Spicy Salmon rolls that were unrecognizable. I have never given a bad review, ever, for a restaurant, but this is a warning for perspective customers and an admonition to the owners to do better. Not many Chinese restaurants deliver in Yorktown and none make Chinese food like Paul Ma’s, the Imperial Wok or the Empire Hunan, all that closed many years ago. There is a big opportunity for good Chinese food here in Yorktown Heights. Okinawa Sushi and Hibatchi needs to up its game. ??"

"My new fave spot for sashimi! Was craving for sashimi one night and found this place. At first I was a bit wary cause of some reviews but decided to just go for it. Got the sashimi deluxe, the salmon sashimi set (15 pcs), and some pieces a la carte. They were absolutely fresh! Thick cuts, and at the perfect temperature too. Haven't tried any of the other menu items though, but this place will def be my go to for sashimi."

"Another great sushi spot in the area! Each time we've visited, it's been relatively quiet, and we’ve been seated immediately. "My fiancé and I, as well as friends and family, go to Akashi all the time and have been doing so for years! They always have great sushi, and I love their sashimi; the best part is their rolls are BOGO! There was only 1 time in the 20+ times I've went that I ordered scallop sashimi (hotategai), and it was not very fresh, unfortunately but I'll still give them 5 stars because no one can be perfect 100% of the time. I also would never get a fried roll again, anywhere for that matter as we got the deep ocean, and it was rather bland. However, that's my fault for choosing something I already knew I likely wouldn't care for (it just sounded so good on the menu), lol. At any rate, this really is one of the best Sushi Restaurants in Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP if you're looking for amazing food while not breaking the bank like if you were to go to M Sushi in Durham, or even Waraji in Ralegh (no bogo and you'll spend $160-$250 on a date night for 2).. I've been to both of them several times, and M Sushi, for the cost, is the best sushi/ sashimi you will ever put in your mouth on the planet! They literally fly their food in on a daily basis from Japan and New Zealand. I will also note that I've been to 30-40 different Sushi restaurants in the Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP area so please rest assured, I am a sushi die hard and have even traveled extensively across the nation and even internationally eating sushi so you can count on me for a good, truthful review. Here's a couple pictures of our take-out last night, which does not do the dine-in presentation justice, but it was still delicious!!!"

"Oh my goodness, this was one of the best Japanese restaurants that I have been to in awhile. My friend and I enjoyed the happy hour specials on appetizers and drinks. We ordered 9 different appetizers that ranged from yellowtail sashimi to barbecue pork ribs. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I am definitely going back."

"Fresh, but not memorable. I placed an online order, and it was ready in no time. The shop is small, with a plastic counter installed for Covid safety. The shrimp tempura appetizer featured three pieces of shrimp along with a variety of vegetables. The website didn't indicate that the dish was mostly veggies, which might have influenced our choice since it felt a bit overpriced for what we received. Everything seemed quite fresh, but the tempura was lacking in flavor. On the bright side, the wonton soup was the highlight of the meal with the best flavor. The Philly roll was good, while the shrimp Rangoon was rather basic and predominantly filled with cream cheese. The filling was bland at best, and the exterior lacked flavor as well. The pizza roll was simple, yet decent. Overall, while the freshness of the ingredients is appreciated, the meal fell short on taste."

"I visited primarily for the Chinese menu, but they also offer a variety of Asian dishes. It's one of the better Chinese restaurants I've been to. The flavors were excellent and consistently good. While it is slightly on the pricey side, it's not too unreasonable. The portion sizes were generous. I found the ma po tofu to be sweeter than I'm accustomed to, so I probably wouldn't order that again. However, we also tried the dumplings, beef lo mein, and orange chicken, all of which I would definitely recommend."

"This restaurant in Bergen County is definitely the top spot for sushi. They recently underwent a remodel, and the new look is fantastic! The booths are comfortable, and the lighting is perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly as well. As for the food, it is absolutely delicious and the presentation is spot on. Vegetarian options include avocado rolls and vegetable tempura. "On Wednesday 12/06 I went to Banzai Sushi, I have never received such bad service in my life… Every time I remember my experience, I get angry, the waitress is rude and has a horrible attitude! It's a shame because the food there is wonderful, but the service is so SO BAD that I lost my appetite. When I got there, there was some water spilled on the table, she took my stepfather's DIRTY NAPKIN to clean it and just left it there. When I asked for things she responded with an ignorant, rude tone. My partner doesn't eat any type of animal protein other than shrimp. So we asked if we could replace the salmon with shrimp in a poke, she checked in the kitchen and said everything was fine. When she came back, I placed my order and she was doing something at the other table, but said to continue because she was listening….my partner also talking about swapping salmon for shrimp at the end and the waitress replies “so it's not like that at all what you want, is something different” and simply left leaving us talking to the wall. When our order arrived, my order came out wrong. I called her and she simply replied “BUT ALSO, WITH HER MAKING ALL THIS MESS WITH SALMON AND SHRIMP…”, sorry, but for me that was the end of the bite. It's okay to get the order wrong, I know it happens, but blaming the customer? Every time she passed by our table I saw her making faces and looking at the kitchen. I thought it was a huge lack of respect, we are paying customers. On top of that, it also includes a 15% tip. Normally, if I receive good service, I will give 20%, after all, I work in customer service and value professionals in my field. And if the service was just bad, I wouldn't bother coming here to report it... But it was horrible"

"It was a little bit of a wait, but we picked this up and were so pleasantly amazed with this food! The sushi rolls were beautiful, fresh, and yummy with great sauces. The teriyaki chicken, rice, and dumplings were perfect for the kiddos. The chicken was super moist! Everyone loved the egg drop soup. We should've got more for the kiddos! I can't remember what the Noodle dish was. We asked for it to be spicy and it was spot on! It was my favorite and it was the first dish gone. The fried rice was okay. Our batch was a little dry and bland. We added some of our own teriyaki sauce and it was perfect in the end. I would recommend asking for some teriyaki sauce in case your rice is a little dry, because it ended up being good! We are excited to go back!"

"This place is disgraceful. We made a reservation over a week ago at 7:00 to celebrate some birthdays.We showed up at 6:55, at 7:20 they said it should be 5-10 more minutes. We were obviously starving and then we can only imagine that they gave our table away because at 7:45 we asked then again, how long it would be and the woman said, I have no idea. "We had a party of 3, two did the all you can eat sushi option, one did a bento box special. The variety for an all you can eat sushi place was phenomenal. They were aware and cautious about my sesame allergy. My sister ordered two spicy tuna rolls and wants to say that the spicy rolls are entirely too spicy and can barely taste the food . The fried items we got were VERY greasy, such as the tempura and rock shrimp appetizers. Took off a point for the lack of attention when it came to service, such has trying to get a waiter 's attention for water, or the check. There were not too many in the restaurant, so this was a bit of a problem. No pics of the food, but you order off an iPad instead of the paper way I 've seen before. You send your order through the iPad, and the food starts coming out when ready. Would go back, but a bit expensive, but the variety makes up for it. Update: tried to make a reservation, but there was a language barrier. You can put your name down, but not make a reservation? That was a bit frustrating."
