"The Eastside used to be my favorite. When I ate their food, it was a rewarding experience to me, and I've recommended this place to many of my friends.Things start to change a couple of years ago. Chicken starts to be too oily, although it's still delicious, the flavor's still right, as long as you do not eat there everyday, it's still the place to goBut the chicken I ordered recently is totally disappointing. The coating is brownish, and hard to chew. It used to be perfect golden. The meat is a little bit dry. I think anyone who cook often enough can do a better job."

"Amazing food love it. Now I've been coming here for few months... love this place... Today I had this fried combo #12 it was delicious ?.. I don't know what this other customer is talking about.. the menu is very simple and easy to understand you don't need to be Harvard graduate to understand the menu is pretty simple. 2nd the cashier seems like not much talkative person which is fine by me I go there for food not for entertainment. it's pretty simple as any other togo place... "My name is Officer Daniels and I order from this place all the time I have never seen something so disgusting in my life today is Mother’s Day and I wanted to relax and I ordered myself and my partner something to eat this place through our food together I ordered macaroni and cheese and yams they literally put a child spoon of macaroni and cheese on top of some smash blended baby food type yams loaded in cinnamon water not in separate containers they literally were ignorant and put a spoon of macaroni on top of the water down smashed yams I ordered spareribs with gravy they came with ice chips on them literally smooch to the side like they were feeding a dog I ordered a slice of six dollar carrot cake they literally sent me this piece of lemon cake that was the size of my three-year-old baby finger a macaroni and cheese smelled like throw up and then when I called there was a young lady who answered the phone at 5:11 PM on Mother’s Day she had the nastiest attitude she found it hilarious as I was telling her this was extremely wrong on how you treat your customers I have been a customer at this place for the longest today was the day that I truly hope this business gets close down they are keeping their food out you can tail it is smelling spoiled when you open it I just am truly Appalled by what I received today And for the young lady to find it amusing and funny knowing that they just threw people’s food together today and served us with the most disgusting you I have ever experienced in my life I hope this place does not need to be protected by our Precinct and I’m on duty the way we were treated she needs to be fired and they need to be close down the other review speak for itself the macaroni and cheese literally smell like vomit and it was mixed with yams that’s how nasty they sent us food shut down this place I am calling everywhere to have this place investigated do not eat here trust me This is exactly how my food arrived shut them down"

"The dining experience was excellent! The flavors of authentic Jamaican spices really stood out. I ordered the Veggie Roti without onions, the cocob red, and a garden salad also without onions. There was a bit of a wait, and they were out of a few menu items. I was particularly looking forward to having Irish Moss, as I haven't had it in a while. Because of these two issues, I deducted a star from the rating. Overall, though, everything else was fantastic. The decor was clean and inviting, and the bathroom was well-maintained, as you can see in the pictures. The owner was friendly, and I always like to support black-owned businesses."

"I give it one star. Simply being that making a call in keeps you from waiting. When I arrived it wasn't even cooked. The cashier yelled to the back. That call in is here Insinuating that I wasn't going to arrive to pick up my order. So the old me would have asked, Are you just now making my order? If so, cancel it Unfortunately I had to feed other people and took that L In all actuality I thought I called the one around from my house. When I was leaving I noticed the address said Bessemer super highway ??‍. So the great person I am. Drove 15 minutes out my way to save their food cost. If I knew I had to wait anyway I would have ran off on the plug twice. Not go there instead in other words). Never again. While I was waiting and watching them laugh and talk. A car was at the speaker and it was two girls in there with headsets on. No one was in the building. The car pulled off and passed by me sticking their middle fingers up. To my dissatisfaction the cashier's didn't see it. Its all fun and games until the money slows down. Other than that the salad was awesome. 1 star for food preparation."

"Crab Plus is a busy little spot, and while the refrigerated display cases were empty during my visit, there were still plenty of options available for platters. I had a chat with the cashier and a regular customer outside as I was leaving, which encouraged me to give them a try, and I'm so glad I did! The food was abundant and absolutely excellent! For the generous portion I received, the price was very reasonable—especially these days. I ordered the #4, which came with two large Dungeness clusters, 6-8 thick potato slices, a half pound of broccoli, an ear of corn cut in half, a pound of shrimp, and a pound of mussels, plus some free spicy steamed shrimp, all for just $39. The wait time was reasonable too, about 20 minutes, even during the busy Saturday afternoon hours. I'm really happy with my experience and I can’t wait to return!"

"Doesn't look like much when driving past but we were craving crab so we stopped, the place aesthetically leaves more to be desired but the food more than makes up for it. While slightly on the saltier side the crab had a good flavor profile and the garlic butter was great! We got 2.2 pounds of crab for around $50 and then a bunch of add ons for a total of $70. To say we were stuffed was an understatement. Also note worthy the young tall man that works there was supper nice and even included a free sampler of the crab rice for us to try. It was amazing!"

"I ordered lemon pepper wings and half hot lemon pepper wings, but they lacked seasoning. I even asked if they could add more seasoning, but after trying them again, I found the flavor was still lacking. The wings with sauce were a bit dry for my taste as well. Since it's a Black-owned business, I’m willing to give it another chance, but my experience that day was not a positive one."

"The fact that they serve alcoholic beverages is a huge plus for me! Just kidding, but seriously, the service here is excellent. The young lady at the front counter is pleasant and friendly, and I really appreciate her energy! I had a cheese omelet with grits and sausage links, and the food was delicious. "I regrettably had a disappointing experience at Lewis Street Grill during my last visit. I ordered chicken wings, which were overcooked and lacking in flavor. The photo clearly shows that some areas of the wings were burnt, and I wouldn't have served them in that condition. I attempted to enhance the flavor with some salt and pepper, but it didn't make much difference. Most cooks are aware that seasoning should be applied before cooking and allowed to sit for a few minutes before frying. On a brighter note, the fries were excellent, and the greens were enjoyable. I’m willing to give it another try in the future."

"Boiiiiii!!!!! So yall was just hiding this place? In MD? Just straight keeping secrets?? How could you??!! I was craving some fried catfish and boyyyyy did this place deliver. My catfish was a crispy, golden brown. I also got the Mac and cheese and rice and gravy. So freaking good!! I got that half and half tea and the carrot cake. This the food that make you dance and slap ya momma across the room. Now I will say...that wait aint nothing to laugh about. You gonna wait whether you order ahead or walk in. So, don't have no plans or you're gonna miss em. Either way I highly recommend them! Wish I had a place this back home."
