"This was my first time ordering from Surf Turf. My daughter has been craving Chopped BBQ and I was trying to figure out where to get her a sandwich without going so far away from home. Thought of this place, as I literally drive by it everyday. The Chopped BBQ was very good and had a kick ????? (staff graciously said can be ordered less spicy). I ordered the fried okra which was delicious ???? Couldn?t stop eating them. Was popping them in my mouth like popcorn ???? ???????? Generous portions and the staff was very nice and welcoming. Would definitely go back! ???? ????????"

"I live in the area and have been coming to this establishment off and on, for over 5 years. I have noticed that the quality of the food and drinks has deteriorated over the years. The wings are extra greasy and almost inedible. I will say, the servers are always polite and I’ve never had an issue in that regard.I am a Hennessy connoisseur and I know for a fact; they add water to the bottle to make it last. The drinks are cheap and now I know the reason. I’d rather pay more and have 100% Hennessy. I’ve also had to kill a roach crawling under my table.I haven’t spent my money at this establishment since!"

"I can throw down in the kitchen with the best of them including Food from the Soul. And this place is Legit. The catfish was perfectly prepared and homefries were outstanding. I truly am looking forward to our next visit and the only difference I can see is I am taking a gallon of that Peach Tea home with me. That stuff was Awesome. Y'all need to check this place out. "I always have a fantastic experience when I eat or shop here! The fish is consistently high quality, and my sons absolutely love the fish cakes. The wild-caught salmon is both delicious and a great value, and I can't wait to try the oysters on my next visit. Everything about this place—quality, friendliness, and value for money—rates an A+. I recently purchased some salmon heads after the owner mentioned making soup, and I was inspired! It was an incredible deal; they cleaned and prepared the heads for me and even shared their own recipe. Being British, I added some beer and bay leaves to the mix, and it turned out phenomenal!"

"The food was very good. I used the door and hers always on time, hot and ready to eat. I just ordered ox tails and nothing else. I was recommended to eat this during an event in NY. I've been tied up since then. The worst experience I had here was burned grain bread (it is not called that, but what it looks and there was too much fat on the ox tails. One time, a part of the drink was a little, but nothing crazy. The homemade tea is powerful. Very strong, but difficult to drink from yourself since his overpower. Still taste great. (so strong, but I go, UGH! Then take another sip. the best coupled with the food you buy there. No bad experience, though only one to buy."

"I ordered food for my moms repass and had it delivered so the food would be ready after the funeral and be fresh. I spent about $80 something dollars for the food and with delivery it came to $100 for all my chicken to be burnt, it’s was already hard for me losing my mother and planning thing on my own but why they thought it was ok to even box that burnt chicken up and give it to someone was crazy. I’ll never buy from them again and I use to love them"

"It's a shame this spot has some mediocre or bad reviews because the staff were extremely friendly and likable. Stopped by late night around 11pm and they were still extremely courteous. Ordered an 8 piece with 2 rolls and 2 sides. Got Mac and cheese and mashed potato's. The mashed potatoes weren't something you'd whip up with your own Yukon golds and butter they were still good AND still warm when I got home 20 minutes later. Always a plus to have warm food after a takeout. The Mac and cheese was good and just as good as any other takeout spot. I enjoyed it. So service excellent, sides ok. Now what about that chicken? Sit down and stfu because this was hands down the best friend chicken I've had besides crown fried chicken shacks in Atlantic City late night at 2am when it's questionable who you're sitting next to and New Orleans or Georgia. I'm not sh!tting you, this chicken was legit! I don't want chciken that's dry. I don't want chicken with too much breading. I don't want bland chicken. I got exactly what I wanted!!! Chicken that was flavorful! Check. Chicken that was crunchy with a flaky not over breaded mess. Check (you know the chicken you get from kfc where it's 75% breading and 25% bone? This ain't that!! Chicken that's juicy and fresh? Check!! Now I got there at 11pm and I didn't have a fresh batch of chicken. I ordered an 8 piece and unfortunately there was nothing on hand besides wings. I could've waited about 20 minutes for a fresh batch but I didn't want to. They were kind enough to throw in a couple extra wings to make my 8 piece a 12 piece and I was more than willing to accept. So I essentially had chicken that was chilling and still f'ing enjoyed it enough to write this post. Eat more chicken people. And buy it from here. (Just not late at night on weeknights when I might stop by lol)"

"I didn't have the opportunity to try the food because the customer service was really poor. I wouldn't eat here even if it were the last place open. I waited a long time for my food, and when I inquired about how much longer it would take, the cashier simply shrugged her shoulders. It was clear that customers weren't a priority; only the money mattered. When I asked how much my meal would cost, I was told I would find out when it was ready. I decided to walk out and I won't be returning."

"I'm not sure why this location refuses to admit that they do not accept call-in orders. When you place an order over the phone, they don’t start preparing it until you arrive and pay. This is poor customer service. After more than a year of only visiting the Main Street location, I decided to give this one another chance yesterday, hoping they would have improved since it’s closer to me. When I called, I asked the girl, "Can you please have my order ready?" She simply replied, "Okay." However, when I got there, once again, my order was not ready. This time, I made sure to ask her if my order was ready before I paid. She didn’t even check, just said, “Nah, it’s not ready,” which was pretty telling because after you pay, you know you’re going to have to wait. I then called the Main Street location, and by the time I drove the 9 minutes from this location, my food was ready and hot! That’s probably why the Main Street parking lot is usually empty; they actually take phone orders. It's important for us to support places that provide great customer service. Main Street is far better, and their food is also superior—perhaps because they don’t cater exclusively to our community. I will keep making that 9-minute drive; it’s definitely worth it."

"Where should I start? Every worker I encountered at this restaurant, aside from the cashier, was rude and displayed a complete lack of customer service. I spent about $60 on food, only to get home and discover that one of my crab clusters was missing. Additionally, my food was carelessly thrown into the containers. I called to let them know about the mistake, and the rudeness continued, which made me decide not to return. They suggested I come back the next day at 12 PM to speak with a manager, as if they were already closed or as if my schedule should revolve around theirs—so frustrating! On top of that, the food was overcooked; my once-nice piece of salmon was flipped over and broken apart, and the Cajun/seafood seasoning they use is far too salty."

"Ive eaten food from Capital Seafood Market before and the experience was disappointing. The pigfeet were so tough and undercooked that I would not eat there again. I passed by this place day after day for almost three years without eating from there. Today I wanted soul food and Capital Seafood was close to my job......convenient, so I decided to take another chance. They must have changed cooks or something because the neckbones and rice were absolutely awesome. The meat was so tender that it just fell from the bone. Everything was so flavorsome. The yams were the bomb. Like the terminator said, "Ill be back"."
