"Very good food and attentive, although imperfect service. The decor is very nice and upscale although the tables are kind of small. My group had the calamari and a crab cake salad special to start. The calamari was very good. We 'll beyond typical flash fried restaurant variety, with a unique and spicy sauce almost like a mustard in color. The calamari wasn 't the best ever, it 's not like the stuff they have straight from the fish market at Parm in New York City, but good. The crab cakes were less impressive; small pucks of squishy crab meat with mixed greens and a light dressing. Fine but not amazing. Main course was also a special, the osso bucco lamb shank with red sauce over a risotto or chunky polenta. Very good. Extremely tender, fall off the bone meat in a hearty portion. My only complaint is that the meat was less marbled and more covered in thin layers of sinewy fat that were sometimes too stringy or plasticky. The service worked hard and were nice but there were some weird misses from a place that seems to put out a very high class vibe. E.g., 'Okay Boss, finito? ' when asking if he could take my plate. I appreciate the Italian attempt but it doesn 't really work with the random American slang. The reading of the specials menu also could have been clearer. It was read at high speed and without much care for personal flair or explanation, despite the fact that we were the first customers in the restaurant. We brought our own wine but the glasses were high quality. Corkage $20 per bottle. Decor was fancy Italian with faux earthen type walls. Tuscan style I guess? Anyways, it feels nice, but it 's also a bit too crowded with decoration at the same time and pretty compact once they seat many people. Overall solid upscale Italian. Would go again and enjoy the food. Hopefully their other dishes are consistent with our experience."
