"we have a holiday home in the Ogunquit region for almost 2 years, and I'm embarrassing to say that this past weekend is the first time that we dinner in the north union. Now that we have tried them, they will be on our list. initially the ambiente is super cool. elegant and yet relaxed at the same time. many recovered wood mixed with formal banquet style sitting and benches. we were a party of four and had luck enough to get a private little dining room that felt like we were in someone's house. the sitting areas, one we saw, what a huge blunt of a tree root and two chairs are as unique as eating. the menu is disassembled in appetizers or snacks small teller and large teller that the main courses are disassembled. we had a reservation of 8 o'clock and dimmed slowly over two and a half hours. without pressure on our table. all this food is unique and inspired and naturally artistically presented. I don't think you could go wrong with a menu item. for an appetizer we have made a charcuterie board with cheese and prosciutto as well as some roasted carrots and an olive assortment. four main courses, we tried a pigeon that is duck and laughs. the only thing I could notice is that if they are someone who likes huge portions, then this restaurant would not be for them. the most important cure are on the smaller side, but eating is so delightful that it is completely satisfied at the end. we will definitely return to a special evening in the north union or enjoy."

"After reading positive reviews, my family and I were eager to try out this new restaurant. This is my 1st negative review having truly enjoyed fine tables such as Five-0 and Northern Union in Ogunquit or Via Sophia in Kbpt. This restaurant is not one I could recommend for several reasons: We ordered 4 items from the raw bar: petite oysters, tuna carpaccio, sea bass crudo and scallops ceviche. The crudo was the best plate we had all evening,it was well seasoned and the tomato water paired well. Both the carpaccio and the ceviche were too vinegary (as if a jar of capers had been poured on the tuna). The oysters never came as no one informed our server that they were out of that item. We enquired about them once the other dishes were done and we were not offered an alternative. With respect to the mains, the wood smoked halibut was lacking in taste, the “blue” filet mignon was at best medium-rare (although the the seasoning was fine). Two of us had mussels as mains. Almost half of them were closed shut or undercooked and the 3 sides of fries we ordered were so salty they we inedible. The side of asparagus was our 2nd best dish of the evening. Our biggest disappointment was the handling of our wine order. My father ordered a bottle of Louis Métaireau Melon de Bourgogne, expecting a dry wine from Burgundy. Although he did briefly taste the wine, we realized once the wine was poured that it was a much sweeter Muscadet Sèvre et Maine (not a Bourgogne). We discussed this with our server who initially offered to bring us another bottle and to comp the first bottle. Unfortunately, the server returned to the table to argue that a Bourgogne is the same grape as a Muscadet, then her manager came to the table and started arguing rudely with my father stating that he had tasted and accepted the wine. We did not dare criticize the food. The owners should be made aware of how poorly trained the wait and kitchen staff are and how poorly supervised the restaurant is in their absence."

"Came here for a maine a few weeks ago for my people (who have now moved to Florida) and forget to add a review as better late as never! They took my father and gave him a comfortable chair, as he had some problems sitting on harder surfaces (we were outside). Despite a waiting period, we had a pretty decent experience. My mother and I shared the steamers (both agreed that these were some of the best we had), not gritty or sandy at all and perfectly cooked. My father had the lobster pot he liked. My first lobster role of my fiancée was well enjoyed along with a Cheeseburger (only in case he didn't care about the lobster). Both my mother and I have the lobster role. I noticed in some reviews how a few people complained about the lobster roll only come with pimples and chips, it's just my humble opinion (and all my opinions are humble), I find when a place makes a good enough lobster roll, you don't need much more. Really! If the meat is cooked perfectly and it is not dosed in Mayo when the role holds, if every bite has the same ratio of lobster and bread, I will be a happy camper. Everything else is just a cherry. Relatively, it is even cheaper than Reds or even Robert's Maine Grill. After working on the latter for two summers and having made easy over a hundred lobster rolls in my position, I found their perfectly full of meat, simply enough Mayo, and the small **** of paprika on the top reminded me of the roles I enjoyed when visiting the downeast. The role itself was perfectly throttled and locked, as we know, there is nothing worse than a soggy role! We shared blueberry and apple cake for dessert that is homemade, and you can really say the difference when something is bought in/if it is not. I will say their blueberry cake is worth trying and getting it with a vanilla shovel is so happy at the end of a meal! Overall, this was a pretty good experience. Our server was friendly enough and we have our food without any problems. I think I could try a real lobster dinner next time. It's cash just so make sure you're prepared (you only have an ATM if you forget)."
