"Overall, we typically have a great experience here. We often come with a group of 8 or more, which can understandably make things challenging for our server, no matter who it is. During our last visit, our server was quite straightforward and to the point in her interactions with us. In the past, we've had excellent service. Regardless, we always enjoy our time at the restaurant. The food is of phenomenal quality, and we always start our meal with a few appetizers, like bread, crackers, and pea salad. Additionally, we love the history surrounding the lodge. We appreciate the efforts to preserve its history, and we often take a stroll around the property during each visit."

"What can I say, Larry really outdid himself. The evening started with the kindest greeting from Larry himself. With one extra added to our party of previously 11, our host was happy to accommodate. We started with fresh out of the oven bread that was exceptional. We then tried the Hungarian mushroom soup which one member of our party said “I would love to be buried in this soup”. The prime rib was the fan favorite as many of us opted for the “king” size. From the local paintings, the stuffed black bear, and beautiful glass windows, the decor enhanced the experience. Will definitely be coming back for years to come."

"Every time I am at the cabin we visit! Been visiting since I can remember and they always have a chefs creation which we love! Love everything on their menu and their view is gorgeous. Love their staff have a mojito they grow their own mint and they are to die for! Also, their salad cart has the best bleu cheese I have ever had and it’s so fun choosing the ingredients. The Cajun Ramulade is the best also we always buy a bottle so we have some for Christmas with crackers or shrimp. They have a unique soup which is chilled Strawberry Rhubarb and we love ordering that every time since no where else have I seen this. Their cook book is amazing to purchase as well. This is a fancy restaurant so we always dress up and love it since we wear flannels and jeans all the time to keep the mosquitoes out. Hoping to have my reception there in 2025 to see Pam my friend and the best staff you will ever meet works there!!! Love love love the memories and the dining experience. Nothing is like this gem! Can’t wait to go in August!!! "We stopped by for lunch last Friday, and it was really enjoyable. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, and it surpassed my expectations. The homemade chips I chose as my side were also delicious. For an appetizer, we tried the fried pickles, and my only minor issue was that they were a bit salty. However, once we dipped them in the accompanying sauce, the saltiness didn’t stand out as much. They were still very tasty. I’m already looking forward to my next visit for another burger. On a side note, I appreciated the bathroom—I'm usually not a fan of public restrooms, but this one was spacious and clean, and I thought the amenities on the counter were a nice detail."

"Ma femme et moi voulions un bel endroit décontracté pour nous asseoir dehors et profiter d'un dîner amusant. Nous avons fini par être très déçus par le service. Notre serveur a mis environ 10 à 15 minutes pour se rendre à la table (ce qui ressemble à une éternité lorsque vous attendez pour commander des boissons). Ils ont pris notre commande de boissons et sont rapidement revenus avec un cocktail et de l'eau, mais la bière que nous avons commandée a été retardée de quelques minutes. Pas grand-chose, mais la nuit est allée au sud. Nous n'avons pas revu notre serveur pendant très longtemps. Nous avons commencé à avoir l'impression que notre apéritif était un peu retardé lorsque les coureurs de nourriture sont arrivés avec nos entrées. Aucune application en vue. Nous leur avons fait savoir et finalement le serveur a apporté notre application. Mais nous étions à mi-chemin du repas à ce moment-là. La nourriture était bonne. Rien d'extraordinaire mais pas mal. Les nachos, je l'avoue, étaient délicieux. Le macaroni au fromage que nous avons commandé était décrit comme ayant de la chapelure, mais cela manquait. Heureusement, le serveur s'en est occupé assez rapidement. On ne nous a jamais demandé de remplir nos boissons. Et après avoir mangé, nous avons attendu longtemps notre chèque. Cela semblait prendre une éternité pour tout. Aucun des problèmes en eux-mêmes n'aurait été un gros problème, mais ensemble, cela a été une expérience quelque peu désagréable. Le serveur était gentil et désolé. Ils nous ont également préparé l'apéritif qui était bien. Peut-être était-ce une nuit ou peut-être un nouveau serveur, mais je ne peux pas dire que je recommanderais d'y aller un samedi soir. De plus, nous avons apprécié le coin salon extérieur. C'était un peu serré, mais l'ambiance était agréable."
