"This is our second visit to gather. The first experience exceeded our expectations. This visit was disappointing. We asked 3 others to join us (their first visit) we ordered the same thing as first visit. The ribeye $45. First time the steak completely covered the entire plate was cooked perfectly and extremely tender in a word delicious. This visit the same item was same price but half the size was tough and cooked medium to medium well. We ordered medium rare. We cut into the steak 2 places neither area was medium rare. When we expressed disappointment, the server asked us to cut into the steak in another area. We said we would just eat it. I guess we made a mistake not sending it back. Because we didn’t send it back it would have been a nice gesture for the restaurant to compensate something to try and please us but no nothing not even a free drink or dessert. It will be a very long time before returning if ever."

"The service was impressively quick; we were greeted the moment we walked in and promptly shown to our table. Our server, Stacy, took our drink order and was both fast and polite. To be honest, I expected the food to be mediocre, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken and mushroom fajitas, and they were delicious. The portion was generous, making for a great snack later at the hotel. They don't allow takeout, but that didn't take away from our experience. This place is a true find, and if we ever return to Atmore, we will definitely come back!"

"I had a terrible experience at this KFC, so I felt compelled to write a review. To be clear, this restaurant deserves zero stars. The place is filthy, and the staff is unprofessional. I'm still stunned that they could mess up a sandwich with just three ingredients. I went through the drive-thru and placed an order totaling about $30.21. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich without pickles. They asked me to pull around and wait in the parking lot for my food. After 15 minutes, I received my order, only to find pickles on my sandwich. I sighed and went to the window, kindly asking if they could correct my sandwich. The worker snatched it from me and said to wait in the parking lot for the corrected order. Another 20 minutes passed. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt since they were busy, but I eventually got frustrated and went inside with my son. As soon as I walked in, the drive-thru worker recognized me and realized he had forgotten my order. He didn’t apologize at all; he just handed me the bag. When I checked the sandwich again, they had still messed it up. Angry, I approached the window again, even though I didn't want to be confrontational. I explained the situation, and the worker responded, "Can't you just take some sauce and move on?" I insisted on receiving the correct sandwich since they had given me a regular chicken sandwich instead. Once again, he snatched it from my hands. That was the breaking point for me. He had the nerve to put spicy sauce over the regular mayo, thinking I wouldn’t notice. I finally lost my cool and demanded a refund. The worker merely bobbed his head back and forth, muttering under his breath about getting the order wrong—not once, but three times. Without a doubt, this is the worst place in Atmore. I called corporate to file a complaint and discovered this isn't the first time such issues have occurred. This restaurant really needs to be shut down for good."

"Sad, first of all they didn't have any wheat bread, all they had was regular white bread, and only had a footlong six inch left, and some wraps, so I got there just in time, because they was about to run out of bread. Seen a couple of flies flying around. The most disappointing part was when I presented a subway coupon, and I was told that they don't accept coupons, and it has something to do with the owner. The food was ok, I had better at other subways."

"Home cooking in a friendly atmosphere, and the place is very cozy. They have a special daily dish at 1 PM, but I was disappointed to find they only had one piece of cornbread left, which wasn't enough for all the delicious greens that came with the sausage. I’m curious why they close at 1:30 PM. The mac and cheese were tasty, but the tea could have used more sugar. You can request the menu since they don’t have it out. They don’t accept credit cards, which is a bit outdated; they really should get a card machine installed. The chicken was juicy and flavorful! The waitress was kind, and she checked on me after I waved my hand for service, but I wish she had come over again after I tasted my food. The daily special arrived hot just seconds after I placed my order. Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere with good home-cooked food, this is the place to be, but just remember to bring cash!"
