Chowder and rolls were very delicious and my knife fork salad was fresh and tasty. Jack was the best server, he was courteous, friendly, professional and attentive. All the staff were just great. Overall best seafood place in the neighborhood. Coconut shrimp is one of the best items on the menu. In addition we always like to have their coffee and spend some time watching the ocean. We loved coming to ivars in the past but NOW the burgers are a full half pound and fantastic. The menu changes are great and the quality and quantity are OUTSTANDING! Whoever made the changes, great decision for an already great place. We can't say enough about how happy you have made us!! I've gone here a few times and enjoyed the ice cream, but today I went for a hot chocolate. I was laughing at how awful it tasted! Like hot water collected *near* a chocolate factory. I pity the trash can I fed it to after my first sip. But anyway, great service! The employees were standing out there today in a blizzard with smiles on their faces. My husband and I had a date night here. A week ago and ment to write this sooner. We loved everything about it. We dont get to get out much with 2 small kids. The food was amazing, our waitress was fantastic. It being December in the PNW of course outside was closed so maybe when we move back to Washington and get a chance during the summer we can go out on to the deck. Had a great experience tonight with our server Erik. When we were first seated, we ended up in a loud room with a huge party of people. Asked if we could move and he happily agreed and moved us to a quieter location. Erik gave us great service, was very attentive, and knew the menu like the back of his hand. We frequent this location often because we live nearby and this was by far the best experience we’ve had here. Thank you! I had the pan fried oysters of which three of the oysters did not taste as fresh as the others I.e. a hint of bitterness to them. And on the menu it was written asparagus but served broccolini instead. And the garlic mashed potatoes were most likely whipped rather than mashed/riced causing them to be glue-like. Also too much garlic in them, I 'll be protected from vampires for days. My partner also said there was too much garlic in his risotto for his taste but that otherwise it was good. Our waitress was very good and we didn 't let her know how we felt about the food but thought you might welcome the input....or not.
