Jolly Roger Seafood House

The Jolly Roger perch and onion rings are a real treat. I drive 75 miles several times a year to satisfy my cravings.

Not what I expected but the food was good. Actually the onion rings were spectacular, get them. The fish was fresh and tasty, fried nicely, but nothing special. I guess the real issue was with the lobster roll, had more fake krab then lobster. The lobster will was very good but advertise it as a mix seafood with lobster.

If your going for casual dining, fried fish and seafood, Jolly Roger's has an array worthy of ant sea lovers delight. Stick with one portion, as it's too large..can never go wrong with the walleye or perch, shrimp and chips was fresh and bountiful. Great food in an unpretentious place. My motto is you can't eat ambience. The Jolly Roger has fantastic, fresh seafood in a comfy setting. It's not a real big place and can be packed on alot of nights, so keep that in mind. It's actually mesmerizing to watch the seafood breading machine. Seafood chain restaurants can't touch the quality here. Highly recommended!

This was a very busy but good place. My family had a variety of perch and shrimp, and chicken dishes. They were all fresh hot and great.The waffle fries were good but the fried mushrooms and onion rings were great. There was a long line to order at the window but it moved along and it took about 15-20 minutes to get our food but they were packed. I would recommend this place for its speed, good pricing, and great food. But all the food served is fried so don't expect to get much in terms of health food.

Party of 6 on a busy day, big line but it kept moving. Food came out in a timely manner but the food... disappointing. All the food was barely luke warm, fries cold. Perch was tasteless and limp. Batter was thin and soggy. Everybody was a bit deflated after several bites. Fish tacos were an absolute disaster. Lots of leftovers but no desire among us to doggie-bag any of it. Several commented that they could've had fresher, tastier, and much cheaper fish next door at the Big Boy restaurant. Btw... our bill was $170 plus tip for 6 people. Voir le carte

We discovered Jolly Rogers Seafood House through some YouTube videos that highly recommended it, and it certainly lived up to the hype! The food was absolutely delicious and much more affordable compared to the restaurant we visited on Put-in-Bay. Although there was a line, the staff worked together seamlessly to keep things moving quickly. I decided to try the lobster bisque, which comes highly recommended, and I must say, it was the best I've ever had. Additionally, you can't visit Lake Erie without trying Walleye or Perch, so I opted for the Perch sandwich. The perch was incredibly tender and had just the right flavor—not too fishy at all. I absolutely loved it!

We’ve been to Port Clinton many times over the past few years and have never eaten at Jolly Rogers so this year we decided to stop. We were able to beat the dinner rush, barely. There was a line when we walked in but not too bad. We were able to order rather quickly and be seated. Since I have had Lake Erie Perch on a previous trip to Kelly’s Island, I decided to order something different so I ordered Walleye Chips my wife Perch Chips. As I have never had Walleye before I found it to have a very unique flavor but it I found it to be pretty good. The food itself was excellent, and the outdoor seating provided a lovely view. However, the tables were all sticky and gave off a feeling of uncleanliness. While we were still eating outside, one of the staff members requested to take the ketchup away, even though I wasn't finished with it. She had also started putting away napkins and the salt and pepper shakers. If the restaurant is open until 8 PM, they should be serving customers until that time, which means avoiding tidying up too early. They had emptied the trash and even asked us not to use the outdoor trash bin, and they weren’t very polite about it. Even though it was a Wednesday evening, that shouldn't change their approach.
