River: A Waterfront Restaurant And Bar

I visited to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and we had a wonderful time! A big thank you to Trish for making the occasion special and enjoyable.

The outdoor dining with a view of the water was wonderful. Trish was a fantastic waitress—very attentive and knowledgeable. The brunch was excellent!

We didn't receive our drinks until after food was delivered and had to remind our waitress. My dinner was barely warm, probably should have sent it back. With that said I liked that the tables weren't crammed together as in other restaurants and the view was great.

Food was good. It seemed that our waitress was over extended. She was polite and apologetic for forgetting to bring more water though. The restaurant was bustling. Several servers brought out food and checked on us so that was good. I've been before and the food is always great! Nice atmosphere.

We sat next to the window but should have sat outside with our coats on. Service staff was attentive and all participated to provide service when needed. Bar area looks great for those who would enjoy that. Take out containers are needed due to the size of the portions. We all shared our one dessert selection. Voir le carte

We recently went to this restaurant and had a great meal by what thought was a lovely server… only to find out that after we left the restaurant and paid by credit card the restaurant had added an extra $20 our bill. My wife tried to call and speak to Andrea the (manager) and got no return call and a run around. So we just called Citibank to despite the charges and got an immediate credit. So beware when you go here that your bill may included an unapproved up charge. It may be a long long time before we ever go back!

Although this restaurant boasts a nice spot and great view on the CT river, that's about all. The food is mediocre at best. The place is dirty. The waitress clothing was filthy. It was a Sunday at 1pm. The home fries with my eggs benedict were cold and stale tasting. I asked for them to be replaced with hot french-fries when the manager came to visit the table, and low and behold we were charged for these. The drinks are served in very small glasses. The calamari were over cooked and too crispy, almost burnt. It was my first visit here and now my last. Voir le carte
