"I could definitely say that Sandy's pub was my favorite dinner place while visiting lake Tahoe. Their burgers were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS the service was really good as well everybody was nice. It wasn't too long of a wait for anything. The staff was attentive I could definitely say if you're visiting the resort definitely check this place out for dinner and do not skip out. It's a great place for I just want to get something good for dinner kind of place on top of that, even the drinks were delicious as well. Whoever's cooking there knows what they're doing and that can tell"

A rainy Monday, but good enough for a short visit and a drink with visiting family members.

Food was awful, our server was understanding and very sweet but it took an eternity for someone to come over when we first sat Voir le carte

Came here for a snack and some drinks and then later on in the night for a nightcap. The bartenders, Felicia and Christine were both wonderful. Friendly, prompt service and great drinks.

One of the everyday open restaurants at the resort. Love the vibe and energy. They have sports on everyday with some decent TVs. Menu is a bit on the lighter side but will do. Loved the nitro Guinness but they do have a full bar. If the day is good, I highly recommend outdoors dining.

Had a great time at Sandy’s Pub. Service was excellent, no wait at all. Food was fantastic. Fish and chips were delicious and my husband had one of the hamburgers and he said it was great. So many fries and then the fantastic dessert. Wow, what a great evening. The waitress, I think it was Jacqueline, was super friendly and had such a nice touch with us and the table behind us. We have eaten at Sandy's Pub many times over the years, and most recently in early September 2022 (several times) while staying at the Resort. The food is great and you can't beat the atmosphere, especially if you are seated outside on the patio. The burgers and fries are outstanding! Desserts are really over-the-top if you are in the mood to indulge. For excellent pub food and beverages, you can't beat Sandy's.

We went to resort at squaw creek for my husband's, Devin's birthday, and enjoyed a tasty meal at Sandy's pub. The nachos were delicious and my husband really enjoyed his fish and chips. The best part of the meal was our server Spenser. He was extremely easy going and accommodating with our sometimes difficult needs. He made my husband's birthday special and I appreciated his kindness. He didn't know my husband has leukemia and this was our first time back at Squaw creek since his diagnosis. Thanks so much Spenser for being so great!

"It gives me no pleasure to write this review. For years Plump Jack has been a staple for both locals and visitors to the Valley. Casual, midweek dinners in the cafe, birthdays and big events in the dining room--the food always very good, and the prices high, but not unreasonable. For well over a decade, I have happily recommended it to friends and dined there on a regular basis. What happened? Well, first, it seems, a new chef. A new chef and a new menu. The dishes now offered are either too fussy or too pared down. Cornish Game Hen? Shrimp and Grits? An $80 filet?!! Gone are the stellar burger and satisfying flatbreads. Gone are the great, healthy, seasonal offerings of salmon or lamb. And in their place, diners are left to deliberate between plates of food that offer no comfort, no joy, and no fun. So far, at the new Plump Jack, I have eaten: a lackluster baked ziti more at home at Lanza's with sausage added for an absurd additional price , a stodgy shrimp and grits where the grits shared the consistency of wallpaper paste also, why not more cohesion in the menu? This one sticks out like a sore thumb , a paper-dry pork chop, and a market salad full of rotted bits of bag-o-lettuce. Perhaps, if I weren't so turned off by the price of the filet $80 , I might have had a better dining experience. For reference, the filet at Christy Hill is still sitting at $58 and the filet at Manzanita is only $72, a steal by comparison! . Okay, so Plump Jack has made it clear they're no longer interested in serving local clientele. After all, what fire fighter or teacher in the local school district can afford these prices? It used to be that locals could dine in the bar and leave the higher priced menu items for the dining room. No longer. What's worse, is that, if the food were good, I might not balk at the prices. But the food has decreased in quality and reliability. The truth is, I've given the new Plump Jack enough opportunities to prove to me that the new menu can be a winner and the new prices are justified. At every turn it has failed. We're just going to go to Christy Hill from now on. And, if we want to get gouged for average food, we can always just go to the Ritz at Northstar. RIP old Plump Jack, RIP. Oh, and the situation is so bad I created a Yelp account simply to write this review."
