Excellent food and good atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the items they serve. The Tomohawk Steak was an awesome special. Well worth it I would think.

Stepping back to 1975. This is one of my dad's favorite spots in town, and we celebrated his birthday here a couple of weeks ago. The steaks are mouthwatering. Totally worth indulging in the whiskey filet. I could give or take about the dated side dishes, but they really accompanied the ambiance so I didn't mind. Excellent service.

Great steaks, dingy, dirty restaurant, slow service. The steaks at the Drover are good, however the atmosphere is dingy, depressing and altogether closed off from the outside world. Overall, not a good value. There are plenty of other steakhouses you can get a better steak, with a much better experience. I have no idea why this place was featured on Man v.s. Food. Voir le carte

Love this place!. One thing that I really get a kick out of is the decor. You feel like you're stepping into a 1970's set of The Rockford Files. I kept looking for mobsters in plaid polyester suits and turtle neck sweaters. The steak is amazing and the service is fantastic. The salad bar lacks a little, but everything else was terrific. If you want to kick it old school. Eat here!

A satisfying lunch. I enjoy a restaurant that serves top quality beef. The Drover is known for their steaks but also puts out a 1st class burger. You won't find inventive, trendy burger combos here but they put out a bacon cheeseburger that will rival any in town. Simple, flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. A burger and fries during lunch is under $10. Money well spent for the quality.

Pluses and minuses. A number of pluses the steaks here are very good the fish, like the halibut, is also good, grilled (usually) and seemingly adequately fresh portion size is more than adequate the bar is well stocked, and the barkeeps are pretty experienced--they can make most anything from traditional to new wave at least adequately or better the wait staff is, as a group, attentive and helpful the minuses skimpy salad bar NOISEY--this place has absolutely NO acoustical dampening so go being prepared to be inundated with the conversation of everyone else, and as usual the more the alcohol the louder it gets; this is NOT the place to...read more Voir le carte

Bad Experience. We had heard The Drover had great food. We went in last evening the place was packed. We thought wow this is going to be great...until I received my meal...I ordered my steak medium--most of it was **** rare and stringy and chewy....my vegetables were cold...I was in a small wedding part so I did not want to complain....the waiter brought our bill there were 7 of us he never asked if we were splitting the check when we asked him to split it his abrupt response was We don't split checks here ...I have never been in a place where they did this...along with the fact we were not pleased with the service we received from the waiter. I will not be going back.

Severely disappointed. One would think that a restaurant that makes the MSN Top 50 steakhouses in the U.S. list, would not be so horrid. The maitre de' left us standing at the door for a few minutes. when he did show up, he wrote my name on a dirty yellow legal pad. The bar area where you sit to wait for a table is tiny and dirty and a soda costs $2.50 for a tiny glass. We perused the menu for a few minutes and made our selections, my wife ordered first, when the waitress asked me what i wanted and i replied prime rib, please she informs me that they are out of prime rib and hands me the menu and stands there tapping her pen on the table like im taking up her...read more

Whiskey Bone-in Ribeye. We have been going to the Drover for over 25 years, and have NEVER had a bad meal or bad service. We only go to this restaurant 3 to 4 times a year because we want it to remain our place to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. We have had guests from other states that we have taken their, ad they always request it when they come to visit stating that it is the best steak they have ever had. My daughter gets their crab legs, and can only finish half of them. The bone-in ribeye with their whiskey marinade is my favorite, and my husband and son get their filet. They have 2 to 3 different sizes that you can order. You get a full meal at this place so you don't need to...... Voir le carte
