"Ate at the Drover in the spring, while there I could smell mildew so I asked if they were having roof leaks. They were but the manager wasn't there to approve an estimate. Stopped in today to ask again and the wait staff was incredibly rude! First she said they have their own snow removal people, I advised I was there for roofing. She then rudely said they have their own roofer! Apparently they have their own customers and don't require anymore as the old ones pass away from the mold that has obviously developed since the spring. If you make the mistake of going there just walk through the door and take a deep breath, you'll smell the mildew, then turn around and go to an amazing restaurant with a great staff, awesome pricing, and amazing food such as Spezia or Anthony's Steakhouse."

This is probably my favorite steakhouse in Omaha. The Whiskey Sirloin is my favorite menu item.

Excellent food and good atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the items they serve. The Tomohawk Steak was an awesome special. Well worth it I would think. View menu

Saw this place on the Food Network before we moved to Omaha, so we had to try it. The whiskey meats are worth the price. The filet is so tender and the fries are great. My wife grew up on a beef cattle farm and she said it was the best steak she's ever had.

This is an embarassment for a state where need is taken seriously. This restaurant is so overpriced and so outdated that I felt like just leaving. The food was served on those cheap speckled diner plates. My steak was a strip and was so tough I couldn't chew it. Sides were mediocre at best. Yuck! View menu

Ah, what can I say. Cozy fireplace, big ole slab of masterfully prepared steak (seriously the whisky marinade is something else), tasty sides, classy booze, all in a dimly lit small building that feels like an old steakhouse in the Wild West. I thoroughly enjoy and if you love all things non-vegetarian and have some extra coin to spend then you will too.

If you want steak, this place came highly recommended by the locals. Had the 16 oz ribeye and it was cooked to order, zero complaints. Soup/salad starters were good... can't really remember the sides, but then again, I was more interested in the meat. Prices are on the high side, but it's Omaha. Of note if you go with a party... you get one check for the table. So figure out who's credit card will be hosting your bill. Party of 7 ran us $400+ (including alcoholic drinks)

"First, the restaurant is super cool. You enter and immediately see the open kitchen and bar below. We were seated with a great view of the working kitchen. It was our anniversary and they presented us with complimentary bubbly and a menu that read Happy Anniversary at the top. Our server was prompt and kind. We ordered apps and our meal at the same time. Apps were a little slow but we don 't mind taking our time. The andouille sausage over grits was good but a bit oversalted. The croquettes were good but somewhat mushy. Overall flavor profile was good. Some time passed after completing our appys and began to notice the kitchen plating dishes and entrees being served to every table except ours. Again, not in a hurry so we weren 't upset. But it became excessive. Large groups seated while we had appetizers were served their entrees. Small tables seated after we finished our appetizers were served. The kitchen can put out food fast, just not ours. So now our apps are expanding in our belly and our excitement about our meals are diminishing. Finally our entrees arrived. My snapper raw. So sad. The gnocchi was ok but again, way over salted. But the flavor profile was so good. This had the ability to be amazing. My husband ordered the wagyu flank steak. It was just not good. He barely ate one piece and left his sides as again they were way way over salted. Our server noticed that we barely ate our meals and spent time asking for feedback. She was very kind and the manager discounted my meal (which I did not want, but appreciate). Anyway, we probably won 't be back. Good presentations. Very good flavor profiles. Failure to deliver overall though due to extremely salty, improper cooking and extraordinary wait times. Hopefully they can improve as some other recent reviews reflect similar feedback."
