This is my go-to spot for lunch during the week. The food and service are consistently excellent every time I've visited. As for parking, it's best to arrive early for lunch to secure a spot, as dinner on weekends tends to be very busy and the parking lot fills up quickly.

Today we got takeout I got the green goddess shrimp salad and it was delicious! I’ve also had shrimp tacos from them that were great(dine in). My husband and I often visit Hale House in Hales Corners, but since it’s our 34th anniversary, we decided to try something new. After reading positive reviews about The Local and noting its connection to Hale House, we were eager to give it a shot. Unfortunately, I have to say that my Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. The sauce had an unpleasant flavor, and the cornflakes absorbed so much grease that it was overwhelming. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for dinner, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The meal was priced around $20–30 per person, which I found to be quite reasonable for the quality of the food and service. The food was exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Bang Bang Shrimp; it was deliciously crispy and flavorful. The Cod Fish Fry was also a highlight, cooked to perfection and just as delightful. I believe the same owners as the Hale House run this place, so I had high expectations for the food—and I was not disappointed. Interestingly, none of us ordered the fish fry (which looked appealing as it passed by), but we thoroughly enjoyed the short rib melt, the crispy chicken sandwich, and my wine-o burger, all of which were devoured quickly. The staff were outstanding—attentive without being intrusive and they had a great sense of humor. The beer selection was good, and prices were very reasonable. One downside was the parking situation, which could be tricky during peak hours. It was quite busy the entire time we were there, but they seemed well-prepared and managed it efficiently....
