"You can blame the lackluster review on the pandemic, but Bass Bay needs to scale back on tables with the availability of staff. Overall an eh time, here, but probably won 't come back. Food was eh. The Friday Night Fish Fry was a disappointment. It had the taste and texture of freezer to fryer with the claim of hand-dipped beer batter. (I didn 't taste any beer. Cole slaw had the flavor of cabbage and cardboard (in a lil ' tiny plastic cup. Potato pancakes, much the same. Service eh. Our waitress was nice, but it was apparent over worked (too many tables in too many areas . The ambiance was chaotic at best. In the several areas of dining crying kids, a wedding rehearsal (members of the party were vocally upset the Brewers game was not on the TV. Catch... they were yelling and complaining over our shoulders from an open window. When I asked a bartender to change the channel he was bothered that I would ask. As it sounded like there were more important things to do. The lake location was nice, but flies were inside. Probably won 't come back."

"originally tried to go to milkcan, but that was a very happy accident to run! beautiful location, right opposite the road from the lake with abundant parking. the inner is a typical bar, but they have got to check the back terrace! it is absolutely beautiful! there's a tonne green area, a horseshoe. court? there is an elevated wooden deck as well as several tables with sun umbrellas on the terrace. our server was not angry at all that we wanted to sit outside, even though we were their only table. She never forgot to keep our drinks filled and eat it quickly. we started with the Broccoli bites and the wobelstrings. both were delicious! we share the haskell’s Burger bacon, cheese, wobble straw, bbq sauce and chiveries, as well as the thenys dog hot dog divided with cheese in the middle and speck, side of the tassen. I'm a sucker for super crispy tickets and that were great. I would definitely recommend to eat here for some great bar, affordable drinks and friendly attentive service!"

"Really like the Gingerbread House. It's such a unique experience. The food has always been excellent. It's not necessarily the cheapest meal around, but I feel like its a good value for the quality and the ambiance of the place. The building, gardens, and livestock (mostly chickens) make it a perfect place to have a meal or cup of your favorite beverage. I enjoy taking specials friends. And the desserts are to die for! I would have given it a perfect score, but I have found that quality of the wait staff is not always consistent. Unfortunately, you can tell when some of them are having a bad day."

"Here's my original review: I was here for a union meeting, they set off a room from the main eating area with curtains. Pizza is good, better than most bowling alley chow. Friendly service, the bowling area looks nice. Bright, clean, looks like lots of regulars. Hardly anyone wearing masks during COVID19. Lots of parking. But after the comment from the owner below (see comment), I decided I really need to lower the rating. I don't like the policy of leaving health and safety precautions and obeying rules to the lowest common denominator. I think it's very irresponsible and not as neutral and democratic as it might sound. The freedom exercised by the workers and customers who don't want to wear masks, keep their distance, or wash their hands puts me at risk. I don't get the choice to be safe. If customers are free to do what they want, that means, in this case, they are free to be contagious. And what if they feel like coming in wearing offensive racist t-shirts or costumes, excessively intoxicated, or sick? What if the employees don't feel comfortable washing their hands, or cleaning food prep surfaces? I don't feel comfortable eating and drinking in a restaurant that seeks to follow only the barest minimum enforced safety and health codes. I do appreciate the owner being up front and honest about his thinking. I understand that most of his regular customers and workers do prefer not following CDC guidelines and enforcement might actually not be good for business here. The place was packed, so at least here, more people feel good about shunning health and safety precautions. This might be the place you're looking for, but the risk, even if small, isn't worth the pizza for me."

"Rondo. Had a great time for a Friday fish plus. 7 of us had an enjoyable time. Several fish dinners. Great, lightly battered fish, tasty with a good variety of sides and some of the best cole slaw I've had in a long time. Ordered an additional clam chowder, a bit pricey, but excellent w/ focaccia bread that was superb. Service was quick and attentive and provided separate checks. Drinks are not cheap, but fairly comparable to downtown restaurants. Sports bar atmosphere so TVs were well in sight to watch the NFL draft w/o being an annoying interference. Nice outside eating if you prefer outdoor dining. While we had no wait, there is often a wait on Fridays. 2 had the chicken harvest salad....read more"
