"Prices have gone up and the selection has been cut. No baked potato option anymore and only a Wagu filet steak option which was very pricey and it was not as thick of a regular piece of filet steak. We called ahead to ask if we could bring our own bottle of wine and just pay the cork fee. The person answering the phone said yes. But the manage came out an said it was not allowed. Disappointing! However, the service was good. Loved the guy playing the guitar and looking over the mountains of NM was wonderful."

The filet was perfect, and the sea bass was delicious. Our server, Kory, was a mind reader. She anticipated all of our needs before we even asked. Excellent food, service. What more could you ask for.

I'm 50 years old, traveled the world a bit and Wendells is my top two restaurants. The stuffed mushrooms, elk, chicken breast, chili linguine, and cheesecake was perfect. Just excellent! Lived the live music and the waiter set a high standard. It's on the expensive side, but worth every penny. My wife and I will definitely return! Don't forget to make a reservation online. Wife had an allergic reaction to the bisque. Noone told us there was shellfish. It took our waiter 2 tries to bring out the correct champagne. The champagne glasses were wet as if rinsed off quickly. The ribeye was not grilled or seared properly, more medium than medium rare. Wife had prime rib that was not tender, very chewy. The potatoes were over mashed. Not worth the 300 spent on dinner. Better off eating at one of the bars, at least you get crap food but pay less. Never again.

Our server service was excellent. The food was a little mixed. Crab cakes for an appetizer were a generous portion but they were cold pretty bland. The lobster scallops were delicious, the smoked salmon was also very good. The rice that was served with the Salmon was overly seasoned neither me nor my husband could eat it. We had the pumpkin cream brûlée for dessert and it was ok. Overall some things were great others just ok. For a 200+ meal I would like everything to be more consistent.
