"This is a relatively new restaurant that has been open for about one or two months, and let me tell you, dining here is amazing. The pasta dishes are all made with fresh ingredients that are personally selected by the owners every morning. They also import various products directly from Italy. There is no freezer on-site to ensure that we receive the best quality ingredients. Many people may say "freshly frozen," but frozen and fresh do not go hand in hand; here, everything is truly fresh. The staff creates a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented atmosphere. Many have already praised this restaurant, and I will also echo that sentiment. I can't wait to visit again and will make it a point to come here as often as possible. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience authentic and delicious Italian cuisine."

"What began as a simple craving for enchiladas turned into years of regular visits to Rjc Family's Cafe. We've enjoyed their quesadillas, tuna wraps, refreshing salads, fruit smoothies and juices, crispy chicken wraps, chicken fajita plate, blueberry muffins, tiramisu, mojitos, and many other delicious dishes. For a long time, Fordham Rd lacked a spot where you could find flavorful, healthy options beyond burgers and fried chicken. While there are some Latin restaurants in the area, Family's Cafe is a cozy hidden gem offering a diverse menu and friendly service. It's truly a great place to bring your family for a satisfying meal. Although the cafe is currently in a transitional phase, expanding with a pizzeria and updating its website, my family and I continue to return. We're glad it made it through the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown and even added outdoor seating in 2021. We're excited to try their pizza when it launches."

"I am so disappointed with the service here. Visiting a friend who frequents this deli with her husband and decided to order for dinner. The sandwiches came and her husband's was smothered in ranch which he is allergic to. Mistakes happen fine she calls back to let them know of their error, hoping they would rectify it quickly and was first told that she would be called back which was strange but then they said they would send a replacement sandwich in exchange for the messed up one. It's been 30 minutes and the deli is less than a mile away and no sandwich. The first order came within 15 minutes of us ordering. Now that I see some of the reviews it seems they have an accountability issue when they mess up and take it out on the customer. Smh"

"Always the best. There's no other Arthur Avenue spot we enjoy more than Roberto's. From the minute you walk in you are made to feel like family. The wait staff is professional, efficient, never overbearing. Wine selections are voluminous and fairly priced for the venue. The food is always perfectly prepared. Simple, elegant and taste that leaves you wondering why you can't cook this well. If you're lucky enough to be there when Roberto is cooking you can expect some extra special specials. "Was a weird experience, I did a reservation for 1 and they just gave me the first available table. They put me in a table for 4 in the entrance, I didn’t like that and tell them, the girl just said that they were full. Then the service was good but it felt like they were rushing me to decide and order. Then the pasta that I ordered was flavorless and couldn’t eat more than a 1/4 of the plate. Hope they fix those issues because no matter that I was eating on my own, I should have had a good experience as well."

"I've read other reviews and decided to give it a try, and I can confirm that they were spot on. The food was fantastic, the customer service was excellent, and the drinks were tasty and satisfying. The interior was beautifully decorated for Halloween and fall. However, there were a couple of things I didn't like: my waitress kept trying to upsell, suggesting an extra shot in my drink, for instance. "If I could give Mexicocina 10 stars, I would. Being from Los Angeles, I've been on a quest to find the best taco spot in New York, and this place definitely takes the crown. I would come here a hundred times without hesitation! The food is authentic, delicious, and absolutely outstanding. Every item on the menu stays true to the rich flavors and high quality of Mexican cuisine, and the staff and owner are incredibly friendly. What stood out to me the most was their variety of vegetarian and vegan options alongside the meat dishes, all equally flavorful. The spice levels are perfectly balanced too! "This charming little place is located on the corner. I absolutely love their pizza—it's a generous portion at an excellent price. I've only ordered whole pies and have never been disappointed. The man at the counter is friendly and efficient, and the cook in the back is always hard at work when I visit. Overall, it's fantastic pizza for an unbeatable price. "My husband is visiting New York, and I recommended this restaurant based on my last visit. Once again, I enjoyed fantastic food with my wonderful partner. To my surprise, he declared this to be the best Italian restaurant he's ever tried. It felt like soulmates connecting over great flavors! Each dish we ordered was impeccably presented. "We have been coming here for years but the food and service is no longer up to par as it was before. The last time we visited was 2 months ago and tostones were greatly and pork chops were dry. Not to mention the steak my son ordered was well done when he asked for medium. The flan, which I've always loved was off. Decided to try again today. There was barely any air in the place. Their thermostat said 84 degrees. It was 86 degrees outside. The waiter did just that, waiter. We weren't brought any water or offered to take our beverage order for 10 mins. When he did he brought 3 glasses of water. There were 5 of us. The food was unsatisfactory yet again. The General Tso chicken was more like sesame chicken without the sesame seeds, the broiled fish lacked its usual savoriness and the maduros actually looked like dried and shriveled. We also ordered the squid fried rice and it had not squid. Perhaps just the ink. We will not be going back. Not only bec of the food but bec it was uncomfortably and dangerously hot."

"I was at San Gennaro’s yesterday for a private event and I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the experience was. Gennaro, the owner, was warm, welcoming and his staff did a FANTASTIC JOB with all the amazing food and service. Everyone was friendly, professional and very accommodating. I ate absolutely everything they served! The antipasto appetizers were so yummy, (I had never had fried rice balls before) the salad was perfectly prepared and the chicken parm was absolutely delicious! Food restrictions were taken into consideration during meal prep for all guests. I had such a wonderful experience here and I look forward to visiting San Gennaro’s again with my husband this time for dinner! I recommend this gem on Arthur Ave without reservation! Thank you so much for making my friend’s wedding and reception such a beautiful and memorable one!!!"

"So I ordered food for delivery. I realized it was over an hour and my food still wasn’t delivered. Also there was no way to track my order. So I placed a call to get an update. The First Lady I spoke to couldn’t find my order so we were placed on hold. She gets back on just to say it will be another 30-35 minutes before we receive the food. So I asked to speak to the manger he explains the system was down. I stated what can be done about the inconvenience due to the fact that if I didn’t call I wouldn’t have none anything. He stated the 10% that was on the order already for ordering on their website was all he could do or a soda. We had a 2liter in our order already. Long story short I cancelled the order due to being frustrated with the Customer service as well as spending $60 and being pregnant. I will never order again!"

"Don't run! you have to go to emilias. if they want to have one of the best Italian meals they have ever eaten, then emilia is the place my wife and I woke up this morning and decided to go. we also let my mother come (they grew up a block of arthur ave.) we heard so much about the zucchini bags, and they delivered! too perfected with the correct amount of prosciutto and mozzarella. this is a mouthwater remover that you cannot miss. please do not give up nonnas Sicilian meatballs, they rival everyone grandmother meatballs with a characteristic hauch of pig and johannisbeer, simply amazing. after we have slept on an espresso martini, dove in her subtitles gnocchi con burrata court. omg! this plate rocks. the gnocchi is homemade and is so light and airy and melt practically in the mouth. coupled to the burrata, the aromen of this plate are impeccable. we have intercepted dinner with nowzio's homemade cheesecake and affogato. the cheesecake was absolutely incredible, and the affogato was a perfect mix of ice and espresso. we had the luck to have a table back and sat next to the greener of the restaurant and his wife of 58 years (nunzio and francesca.) a wonderful couple that over neapel vs scherzte. sizilien. she's out of neapel and he's out of sicily. as it turns out, this is the inheritance of my wife sicily and mine is neapel! we had a wonderful conversation with them and felt like family when we were gone. five stars .."

"This place is excellent! A fireman was celebrating his retirement here (already a good sign), and we originally thought it was closed for a private event, but then the host showed us the second dining room. We started with the fried calamari and buffalo wings, both were excellent. For entrees, we had cacio e Pepe, spaghetti and meatballs, and a chicken parm. The meatballs were amazing, so tender. The chicken parm was great, a really good portion size. Cacio e Pepe could have used a little more sauce. We also had some Calabrian red wine which was excellent. The service was superb, very attentive. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area! For the record, better than Enzo’s."

"One of my favorite restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. From the moment we walked in the door, the immediate seating from our reservation, the beautiful smiling faces all around it was just wonderful from the get-go. I had asked online when I placed my reservation if they could leave a simple little note on the table for my fiancé from me. When we got to the table I did not see a note and I was perfectly ok with that ! (because it is a lot to ask for, as a server you have your duties, and leaving a note on the table stating the customers love for someone else is not one of those duties) ... I had totally counted that out as if it were not going to happen and I was totally fine with that! About half way through our experience a beautiful young lady came up to the table, with a golden painted rose in hand and a wonderful handwritten note with exactly what I asked for... When I say this simple action made both of our days.. The simplest of things, and they executed it perfectly and I will never forget the experience I had here, from the food to the drinks to the service, everything was star experience, and the workers went above and beyond to make this happen. I could also write a novel about how amazing the food and drinks were. I've never eaten food that was prepared or served like SUYO.. Star, absolute Star. I will be making the hour drive back to visit you guys again and from the bottom of my heart thank you for making such a simple dining experience absolutely unforgettable."

"The atmosphere was lovely, and the music added to the vibe, though it was a bit too loud for my liking. The drinks were both delicious and strong. I requested water but ended up waiting quite a while and had to remind the staff. The waitress was friendly, but they didn’t have what I ordered, and my friend finished her meal before I even received mine. I re-ordered but by then, I wasn’t really hungry anymore. They also forgot my friend’s vegetables. On the plus side, the food was very tasty. However, I was surprised to be charged $2 for sour cream. I had to speak with the manager about that. Overall, I was somewhat disappointed with the experience but I’m willing to give them another chance."
