"While the service was both prompt and friendly, the food was anything but memorable—in a good way, that is. The Hot and Sour Soup wasn’t hot at all and tasted rather bland. It improved slightly with some soy and chili sauce, but that just added heat and salt; it lacked the rich flavor of a good chicken broth base. On the bright side, while most places offer about 4-5 ounces of soup, this one serves a hearty 8-10 ounces. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with a request for it to be made at a 5-star level. When I mentioned the 5 stars, the server's face lit up as if I had given the go-ahead for them to create it properly. However, when the dish arrived, I noticed it didn’t have many chilis, making me question if it was indeed 5-star. In reality, it didn’t even earn a single star in my book. It was clear the kitchen completely disregarded the 5-star request. Furthermore, this dish wasn’t even Mongolian Beef; it tasted more like teriyaki. It was overly sweet, which ruined the flavor. I understand that some people can’t handle spice, like Becky from Edmonds, but the traditional version of this dish should be hot and spicy, not bland and sugary. Once again, the staff was incredibly nice, but unfortunately, the meal itself was a major disappointment. I’ve dined at Chopsticks up the street, and the food there was far superior. I had hoped I’d stumbled upon an underrated gem, but this place feels more akin to deli-style Chinese food you might find at Safeway—it lacks that true restaurant quality. While I’d consider this a 1-star meal, I’ll give it an extra point for the friendliness of the staff. However, it’s clear that it’s time to bring more flavor to the menu."

"The Saltwater Grill, a long-standing restaurant in Galveston, recently updated their menu with new items while keeping some of their popular dishes. The Shanghai Delight dish never fails to make me happy - it's like it's mixed with Prozac. This time, I decided to try one of their new "naked" dishes in the hope that the fish would be the star. I opted for the grilled redfish, which was cooked to perfection - the edges were slightly crispy and caramelized, yet the fish remained moist and flavorful. However, I was disappointed that there was no bread served with the meal. The restaurant was quite noisy, making it difficult to hear the server but manageable to converse with companions."

"However, I want to share my experience regarding the treatment we've received. Every time my partner, roommate, or I go there, we feel unwelcome before we've even said a word. We're not the typical older, upper-middle-class customers they usually cater to, but we are always very polite, pay in advance, and tip 20%. Yet, each time we visit, we are met with glares and the staff seems eager to rush us out the door. When I say, "I hope you have a nice day," the hostess rolls her eyes and turns away, leaving me confused. We’ve never even dined inside the restaurant; we wait quietly for our food and are courteous to everyone who helps us. So, it’s puzzling why the hostess changes from being friendly to suddenly cold and dismissive whenever we approach. It's like she goes from cheerfully chatting with other patrons to glaring at us as though we're out of place. This treatment feels off. I've noticed we're not the only ones who seem to receive this unwelcome vibe, which is why I wanted to leave this review. I hope it helps others avoid feeling uncomfortable for simply choosing to support a local restaurant."

"I decided to mix things up and stray from my usual order. I started with the ikura gunkan, which was absolutely delicious. Next, I had some shu mai—hard to go wrong there. I also tried gomae, a Korean spinach side dish topped with a uniquely tasty sauce, and I highly recommend it. For my main course, I went with the special moto scallop eel roll and some kake udon, both of which were fantastic! The menu is quite extensive, so I look forward to trying more dishes in the future. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, featuring artwork and traditional Japanese-style tables, and there’s even seating at the bar. I can’t wait to come back!"

"I love this place absolutely the overhead burger was fantastic the queen was phenomenal and if you have a taste for cocktails... You'll love her! The chicken quesadilla was nice I hated to eat because it was so much fun to see, but the taste?? I'm sorry I'm surprised I didn't eat the dish! Too much gum The street tacos are a simple happy hour-cockout punch! I don't think my food lasted five minutes on the table ate it so fast, but I have to tell you the hidden secret is in the Happy Hour mai tai! It was delicious, but I had to stop at two, as I am something from a light LOL and thank God that I went, but the environment is incredible, it's so much fun and our server was super good lol I'm a server but I have to tell you I would be my GoldMedal right on my server last night because it was faster than I was!"

"I recently dined at a fantastic Korean restaurant in Seattle. My party and I enjoyed the bossam special, which came with soju and cold noodles. The portions were generous and the flavors were outstanding. The quality of the food reminded me of some of the great Korean restaurants I've visited in Toronto. The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely return if I find myself in the area again. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5."

"Dropped by for a late night bubble tea with a friend and was not disappointed in the least~ Yifang is a go to when it comes to bubble tea and this location is great since it does stay open towards the later hours. Great for when you want an after dinner dessert :PI got my usual black milk tea whereas my friend with a super fruity slushie type drink. Both of our drinks were great and the boba had a good texture as well. All in all a good boba experience. The employees were great at talking us through some specials and other drinks which was helpful aka what should I get next time I swing by? :PThere is ample parking by this place so definitely will not have to worry about searching for street parking anywhere. The interior has some cute seating if you'd like to drink your tea and chat with friends."

"Thai by Day offers the best authentic Thai cuisine in the city! We visited during their opening and were thoroughly impressed by the delicious dishes and beautiful presentation. The soft shell crab salad was cooked to perfection. The Thai Fusion Rind Jerky was a unique dish I'd never encountered before, and it was fantastic. Finally, the Kao Mok Gai, featuring seasoned chicken served on yellow Thai rice, was incredibly tasty. We also enjoyed the special drink of the day, Sea Salt Tea Cream, which complemented the meal perfectly. With reasonable prices and free parking, this is the ideal spot for anyone craving authentic Thai food!"

While I enjoy pasta with white sauce and find the soup acceptable, the real highlights for me were the appetizer, Hummus Plate, and the refreshing Mango plus Peach Italian Soda. It's on the pricier side, but I wanted to try something different. Overall, a tasty experience, though next time, I might venture beyond pasta. Definitely not the cheapest, but worth the culinary adventure!"

"My wife and I (both vegan) had the soft rolls, golden cashew, and imperial garlic. The Thai iced tea usually comes with milk but they will gladly substitute coconut milk instead. We explained that we don’t eat “dairy, egg, seafood, or meat” and the waiter replied with “ok, so vegan?” Overall a nice experience and reasonably well priced."

"I've passed by this restaurant numerous times, but today was my first chance to dine here. It has an old-fashioned, straightforward charm that I really appreciate. I enjoyed one of the best BLTAs I've had in a long time. The bread was perfectly toasted, and there was a generous amount of both crispy bacon (just the way I like it) and avocado. I opted for cole slaw as my side, and once again, the portion was ample. Our server was friendly, and our food arrived quickly. We chose to sit in a booth at the bar, which was less crowded than the main dining area. It felt a bit quieter due to the lower ceiling. This experience has reminded me not to judge a place by its appearance—sometimes the most unassuming spots turn out to be hidden gems!"

"I recently stopped by for dim sum and will definitely be coming back for takeout for larger meals. My experiences here have been inconsistent, with some dishes being amazing and others just average. This unpredictability is a major concern, as there's no guarantee that every visit will be fantastic. The prices are on the high side, and have been increasing over the years, but they're not exorbitant. The food is more of a tasty treat rather than consistently attractive. Some standout dishes include the beef, which is always flavorful, and the honey walnut shrimp, although it can be hit or miss. The taro sago dessert is a delicious way to finish a meal. On my last visit, I accidentally ordered the shrimp-stuffed eggplant instead of tofu, but it turned out to be quite good. I highly recommend the steamed shrimp dumplings, shui mai, steamed bean curd rolls, steamed BBQ pork buns, steamed rice rolls, and crispy fried shrimp balls. For dessert, try some sweet egg tarts or custard rolls. Overall, the dim sum here is worth a try, but be prepared for some inconsistency in quality."

"Sorry to write a negative review but I have been here twice recently, had poor service and food quality (soda had watered down flavor which they replaced with the same watered down drink upon my return of it), then I asked for a different flavor but they forgot I gave up trying. I was there to meet with people not spend my time solving the problem. The 2nd time it was cold fries rather than make an issue, I ate them cold ugh! I don't like having to order from the Kiosk when people are standing around at the cash registers and can take my order much faster but they force you to use the Kiosk...not great for older people who are not so savvy with those things. I am tech savvy and the Kiosk frustrates me because there are so many options and so hard to find the basics of what you need."

"This restaurant is easy, quick, and affordable. They accept coupons from the post office, but sometimes they require the actual coupon, while other times just the coupon number will do. Make sure to double-check that all your items are in the bag; I missed two side items in my order (they might have accidentally given them to the customer behind me in the drive-thru, lol) so I had to go back to the car to request them. There are no hidden conditions unless you specifically ask about them. Straws are packaged separately in bags instead of being placed directly in the drinks. They do provide napkins as well. It's worth noting that the dining area is currently closed. During peak meal times, the line moves more quickly than at McDonald's."

"When I finally got my lemonade, I accidentally knocked it over, spilling it all over their counter and the floor. I felt really bad about it, but they were so kind and quickly showed me where the napkins were, even refilling my drink for me. Mikey and Erin were wonderfully friendly throughout the entire experience; they even complimented my outfit! It was like having a hype team I didn't know I needed. Their warm and engaging attitude made the wait for my fresh cinnamon sugar pretzel feel super short and enjoyable. Now, I'm leaving as a very happy customer with a delicious, freshly baked pretzel and a tasty lemonade—I especially love the crunchy, airy ice!"
