"Farmstead continues to be one of our top restaurants. We like cooking on wood fire. Wood cooking adds a nice smoky taste to the items. It also makes us feel like we are outside camping. Previously, in photos, we had the beignets covered in powdered sugar and wood grilled artichokes. Both are our favorites. Today we started with the wood grilled artichokes (no surprise). One of our other favorites is the cheddar biscuits. These add a nice cheesy (no pun intended) flavor to any entree you get. Wednesday was Lamb day. We got the special lamb meatballs over vegetable rogù. This was our first lamb here and it was excellent. For dessert, an Apple galette was calling us since it was my birthday. The combination was impressive. The outside BBQ neon sign is impressive at night. Inside next to the door is a great open area with the Farmstead sign. Seating, as shown, is casual but very nice. Farmstead has a nice outside grass area that is often used for weddings and special events. We strongly recommend you give them a try."

My husband and I have been to farmstead many times and it’s always excellent. This time we went on New Year’s Eve with friends and we all enjoyed the restaurant thoroughly. The staff are especially friendly even on a busy evening like New Year’s eve.

The food here was really lovely and the service even better. We were treated really well by our waitress when we thought our wine might had cork. They have a great kids menu as well which isn't just fries. Definitely recommend you come here if visitingNapa valley. The restaurant is so we'll decorated and there's lots of space and pretty surroundings. Liked everything aboutthis!

We also brought a bottle of wine from their tasting room, but since we couldn't finish it, we took it to dinner with us. Unfortunately, we were charged an additional $10 corkage fee for bringing in our two glasses, which was disappointing considering it was wine we purchased from their own tasting room. For dessert, we tried the chocolate cream pie; it was good, but I didn’t think it was worth $13 for a slice. Overall, the highlight of our visit was the tractor on the premises, which my 2-year-old loved. So while there were some enjoyable moments, the experience was a bit mixed.
