"Have to eat here at least once every time we visit St. Helena! Alfie is our favorite waiter, he's attentive and feels like family. The bartender makes THE BEST Filthy Martini in California., and the Butterscotch pudding is to die for. We had the special, a delicious shrimp pasta in a delectable cream sauce, we also had the lobster rolls (yummy), Crab Louis, delicious as always, the French Dip, hearty, savory and melt in your mouth. And the Butterscotch pudding for dessert. As always all of the food was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service impeccable. The next time you are in the Napa Valley If you haven't been to Market you have to go!!"

"Our weekend celebration turned into a nightmare I came out of my home for the first time after my pregnancy and baby to celebrate and this restaurant server made sure that I regret later. We had a lunch in this restaurant yesterday and we tipped less than expected and thats our bad that we are sorry about. But coming after us to the parking and abusing and harassing in front of our kid and friends, instead he would just ask us politely and talking to one of us outside the car in classy and polite way so that we all could have sort this out properly. We would have been more than happy the whole evening.. he ruined our evening .. filled our heart with anger and disappointment and above all he did this when we were out with our kid for the first time. Thank you for teaching me that humanity doesn’t exist for some people."

"Without a doubt, this was the most delicious brunch I've ever had in my 56 years—though to be fair, I don't recall the breakfasts from my early years. However, I can confidently say they don't compare to what I experienced at Acacia House. Wow! Absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable, showcasing genuine hospitality without being overbearing. I've been staying at the hotel for two nights and checked in just in time for dinner at Acacia House last night. Once again, the service was outstanding, and the food was simply delicious. If you're a fan of lamb, you absolutely have to try it. And the olive oil cake? It was incredible—flavorful and satisfying without being overly sweet, which makes it perfect in my book. Thank you, Acacia House!"

"I love the concept of the Saint and think St. Helena needs this type of venue...but I do think there are things that could be improved on to make it a place where you would want to go more often. The ambiance is fun with it 's cozy lounge feel and very comfortable. We had a wonderful server...very welcoming and she made us want to stay. However, our first greeting we received from one of the other bar attendants wasn 't good at all and she actually was quite off-putting with her attitude. The young man playing was good and we enjoyed him...at least enough to stay 2 sets. I think the main thing that would attract more people is the food which I think could use improvement. The cheese board for the price was very minimal and definitely not worth the price. For the lounge atmosphere I think they really should work on some fun and very tasty bar bites that would be a little more affordable. The rest of the menu was from Market and nice to have that option....but I think the venue needs a different type of food to make it draw more people in. I also think if they were able to have a full bar it would help to bring in more people. St. Helena is starving for night life and good night life so I think this is a great start but again could use some tweaking to make it the hot place in town people talk about and want to go. All in all it was a fun experience and as locals we will go back."

"Farmstead continues to be one of our top restaurants. We like cooking on wood fire. Wood cooking adds a nice smoky taste to the items. It also makes us feel like we are outside camping. Previously, in photos, we had the beignets covered in powdered sugar and wood grilled artichokes. Both are our favorites. Today we started with the wood grilled artichokes (no surprise). One of our other favorites is the cheddar biscuits. These add a nice cheesy (no pun intended) flavor to any entree you get. Wednesday was Lamb day. We got the special lamb meatballs over vegetable rogù. This was our first lamb here and it was excellent. For dessert, an Apple galette was calling us since it was my birthday. The combination was impressive. The outside BBQ neon sign is impressive at night. Inside next to the door is a great open area with the Farmstead sign. Seating, as shown, is casual but very nice. Farmstead has a nice outside grass area that is often used for weddings and special events. We strongly recommend you give them a try."
