"We used to love Hooked on Breakfast and it was our favorite restaurant in OC. We used to recommend it to everyone. However, this past summer we had two very disappointing experiences. I requested a peanut butter chocolate chip pancake with just peanut butter chips and no chocolate chips. They had accommodated this request before, but this time we were told rudely that they do not do substitutions. I was puzzled by their inability to simply leave out the chocolate chips. Additionally, when I asked for an extra cup for my daughter because they were sharing breakfast (a 6 year old and a 3 year old), they charged me for two drinks even though it was just one drink split between two cups. They refused to remove the charge from the bill, even though we did not receive any refills. I was very disappointed by the poor service and it seems like the restaurant has lost its charm."

"My husband ordered a cocnut chicken platter. It was a stickey clump of chicken pieces far and few that tasted like recycled kicken from the day before. I odered a tomato and avocado platter both stuffed. The tomato was so under ripe that it was hard to cut however, the tuna was tasty...The avacado was black and mushy but, the chicken salad was tasteless with too much mayo. My daughter also ordered a platter with an avacodo and salad. She had a similiar experience. The spring mix was very fresh and the dressing was ok. It was not what I was expexcting."

"We had a great experience here! I was so excited that they had gluten free options for celiacs. I had the gluten free crab melt and gluten free mac n cheese. Both were delicious. My daughter had a gluten free grilled cheese which she was excited to be eating. Other people in our party got chicken fingers, hot dog, the regular crab melt, Maryland crabcake, and the pork belly reuben. Everyone said theirs was delicious as well. The only thing I would have loved is if they had a dedicated gluten free fryer so we could eat french fries. We will definitely be back next year when we visit Ocean City! Thank you for giving us a safe place to eat with celiac disease! Kid-friendliness: We were seated quickly, and they had a kid's menu with crayons ready to go. The prep was quick. It was a comfortable environment with kids. Dietary restrictions: Delicious gluten free options! I am confident that the food was safe as neither celiac in the party got sick. "I really enjoy this place, but there's one consistent issue: my burger is always served lukewarm. While it tastes delicious and looks fantastic, it never comes out sizzling hot from the grill! I absolutely love burgers and make it a point to try them at every great place I visit, so I consider myself a good judge of quality. The fries are excellent, the shakes are amazing, and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. However, those lukewarm burgers really bring down the experience. I'll give it another shot in a month, and I have a feeling it will be better!"
