Fried Green Tomatoes

Always good food and svc, I haven't tryed everything on the menu but it wouldn't surprise me if everything is great. The steak and meatloaf certainly are top par.

I loved this spot. It’s important to note this was the only dinner spot we ate at while in Galena, so I have nothing to compare it to. However, the service was great here. We had a great time.

What a terrific time we had there last night! Probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had. Atmosphere in Galena/Fried Green is great. And Madi is just amazing! The rest of the crew was so friendly as well! 10/10 Visualizza piatti

Sooo good. Definitely worth the hype. My group enjoyed the fried green tomatoes (duh), the Caprese salad, filets, salmon and pork ribeye. We also ordered cocktails and dessert. The French Silk Pie Ice Cream was to die for.

Best meal of our 12-day road trip along the Great River Road. My husband got the meatloaf stacked with cornbread and mashed potatoes (pictured). I got scallops even though I knew they wouldn't be local. Both were phenomenal. Service and atmosphere were great too. Highly recommended. Make a reservation.

06/05/24 Came here for my birthday. One of best restaurants in Galena. Our food was amazing. We started with an Ahi salad and then fried green tomatoes then a 20 oz steak and my fiance had Veal Parnesman. We then had Cremebrulle for desert. It was incredible. Our servers were great. Was in town in Galena IL for a weekend first time there what a exceptional restaurant. SERVICE and FOOD was amazing we had the steak special one of best steak I had was tender and cooked perfect, had the fried green tomatoes appetizers first,, than a house salad and there house breads were great, Good choice of desserts and service was Excellent too, Great atmosphere, prices at a reasonable price, Everyone around us looked happy with their time there, the place was full , so make a reservation,

Fried Green Tomatoes seems like one of the few restaurants in Galena that are more elevated and expensive (and yet there’s no dress code). Our appetizers were (the most obvious choice) fried green tomatoes and the sweet chilli shrimp. A solid pairing of heavy and light. They made their fried green tomatoes much like an eggplant Parmesan: lots of sauce snd covered in cheese. I’m not complaining because it was delicious, but that’s a heavy dish. The entrees we ordered were both seafood but our server did tell us to come back to try their meats (bone in pork chop and filet mignon). My friend and I came to Galena for a little day getaway. Fried Green Tomatoes was a recommendation to us and the reviews looked good so we decided to come. We were so excited to have a nice dinner. I love the look of the inside. You could instantly tell the manager was great at his job. Sadly he is one of the only reasons there is a star.
