I spent three weeks in LA and sampled a good few tacos. These were the best by far. Bit of a weird area for such good tacos but were very delicious!

I spent three weeks in Los Angeles trying out various tacos, and these were by far the best! The location is a bit unexpected for such outstanding tacos, but they were absolutely delicious!

The breakfast tacos are uninspired and meh. The normal lunch tacos are spectacular. We would not go back for the boring breakfast tacos, but we'd bring friends for the flavorful meaty lunch menu. Visualizza piatti

I ordered a Cheese Quesadilla, a Brisket taco, the Big Queso, and the Big Guac. Everything was delicious! My kids really enjoyed the Cheese Quesadilla. However, I found the Big Guac to be a bit too salty.

My family and I are huge fans of HomeState! We stopped by after a 12-hour flight from Japan and enjoyed the best brunch tacos! I highly recommend trying the potato and brisket taco, along with the Trinity taco!

It's always a great choice to have queso and breakfast tacos for breakfast. Everything was delicious, though the two flour tortillas were a bit hard from being overheated. The queso was perfect—better than ever, in fact. The chips were outstanding. Visualizza piatti

The atmosphere and service were great but the food didn't deliver. As I was born and raised in Texas, this is not a Texas kitchen....Breakfast tacos are pretty pricey but very small. Plus, you should have a choice between real or vegan eggs. Food had no flavor at all. I had to drown it in sauce to eat it. Big miss for me.

I was in the area and take advantage of the opportunity to try this place out. As a huge fan of Tex-Mex for breakfast, the breakfast tacos were okay, but I really liked their other tacos.The place is well decorated with ample seating both inside and outside. The service was also good, and super helpful when answering questions.I got the following items:Guadalupe: This one was a little underwhelming. I wished I could have tasted more of the chorizo, but adding some of their salsa helped a lot.Tijuana Panther: I much preferred this taco. Juicy and full of flavor, this one didn't need the salsa at all. I was worried this one would be too heavy with the potatoes and queso, but the pico de gallo...

I first heard of HomeState from a Buzzfeed Worth It video many many years ago and it has been on my list ever since. I love breakfast and I love tacos. Makes sense to combine the two! I haven't been to the other locations, but Playa Vista is a nice area and it's a lot easier to find street parking. There are some tables inside, and there's lots of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, get a number, and find a seat.
