"Wow! This bar and Thomas their Mixologist were absolutely amazing! I was in town on business and decided to kill some time while I wait for my train back to Chicago and popped in. They actually have a real wide selection of local beers and pretty cool people who walk in. Mostly locals and the food is impressive for a pub. I had the Salmon Sandwich and it was . Not to mention my bill after drinks and food was surprisingly affordable compared to Chicago. If you are in the area this is a definite go to for drinks and great conversation with the coolest people in town. Didn't realize Normal had so much to offer. I will definitely be back! The most recent time I came here was better than the last few times. We used to LOVE this place. Then it seemed to go downhill the last few years. Even a few months ago, the service was slow, the food was subpar. But the most recent time I went, the food was good and the server was attentive. The Host was also polite and welcoming. They have a good list of menu items and their garlic aoli mayo is to die for! Price per person: $20–30

I absolutely love Maggie Miley's! Although I didn't have any drinks this time, I can attest from previous visits that they pour a great Guinness. The food was delicious; the sweet potato crisps were particularly tasty. I chose the bangers and mash, as usual, while my wife opted for the stuffed chicken breast. Both dishes were packed with flavor! We also received prompt service, so a big thank you to JC, our server! Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
