I loved the atmosphere and the space, I went during a poetry night and the engery was amazing. I would love to hear a live jazz band there one day. Such a lovely stage inside!

Our wait staff was sincerely interested in our enjoyment of the wine and food and was willing to talk with us about our experience. We really enjoyed the evening and will come back!

Went for brunch before the Steelers game. Drinks n food were great! Carrot sparkling drink was light n refreshing. The pumpkin bread was soooo good. I have been for dinner a few times, but never for brunch. I will def be back!

First time there and really enjoyed the unique atmosphere. The service was very good and the lamb and the roasted leg of lamb sandwich was excellent. We also had a lamb stew/soup which we found to be only medicre which is why I only gave it 4 stars. That being said, I would definitely dine there again.

This is a very special place and I enjoyed going here. However, I got the roasted mushrooms with rice cakes and the broth was so salty that I actually struggled to eat it and everything on the plate turned soggy almost immediately. I had a fantastic brunch experience at this restaurant. As a non-drinker, I loved that they had a variety of mocktails on the menu. It was tough to decide between the delicious appetizers and main dishes, as there were so many interesting flavor combinations to choose from. The borscht and spaetzle were standout dishes. The service was top-notch. I can't wait to return for brunch and also sample their dinner menu in the future.

I have visited this restaurant for the second time and it exceeded my expectations once again. I appreciate the unique cocktail selection and top-notch service. This establishment is one of my preferred destinations in Pittsburgh for a high-end dining experience. The ambience is upscale yet inviting, making it suitable for both special occasions and casual nights out. The daily printed menus showcase the origin of each ingredient used in your meal. We were well attended to and thoroughly impressed with our dishes, particularly the rainbow trout and half chicken.

Located in a cozy contemporary setting, 40 North is the perfect spot to meet with friends. The food is exceptional and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. During our girls brunch, we enjoyed a bottle of Crémant du Jura, a delicious champagne-like drink. I couldn't decide on an entree, so I opted for some starters including toad in a hole and pumpkin soup, both of which were tasty. After our meal, we stayed to enjoy the atmosphere and had drinks at the bar. The bartenders were helpful in explaining the cocktail options, and they even created custom drinks for us.
