"(Last visited 12/22/2021. Want to see a video review instead of reading? Head on over to The Hungry Road on YouTube and search for this restaurant! On our way to see House of Gucci at the AMC theaters in Plainville and we stopped off at 50 West nearby to have a bite before seeing the show. A friend of ours in the Wingaddicts Facebook group recommended this place to us because of their braised wings, which I had never had before so here 's how things went!Atmosphere/Appearance: This place delivers an excellent, chic and rustic vibe, but with an upper-scale tavern-like twist. There 's a nice outdoor section for the warmer months and the restaurant has plenty of seating split into several different sections. One of my favorite aspects of this place was the high-top bench booths. You could sit higher up off the ground, but let your feet swing at the same time. It 's not often that I run across something like that. It was a Thursday evening and the restaurant was quiet around 5:30pm, but I 'm sure business picked up later.Service: Our server was actually the bartender and she was awesome. Because it was so slow she was able to run the bar and take care of us. She was sweet, asked us a lot of questions and made it seem like she really wanted to get to know us. We appreciated that. The owner even came out to talk to us when he discovered when I was filming. Regardless, we appreciated the hospitality.Food: We were here during happy hour so we took advantage of it! We started off with their Goat Cheese Balls. They 're lightly breaded panko balls served with an orange jalapeno marmalade. They were soft and CRAZILY tender. Like, you didn 't even need to chew. They just melted away right in your mouth leaving behind plenty of flavor and some good spice. So the first flavor of wings we had were the Garlic Parmesan. They 're a wet sauce and described as slow-braised . This creates a fall-off-the-bone sensation and it works so well. They were a little on the smaller side and the flavor was light, but they were very good. Next up was Buffalo and they 're cooked in the same slow-braised manner, all the wings here are cooked like that. The Buffalo was creamy, medium and pretty straightforward. Spicy Thai J was next and it was very intriguing. It tasted exactly how the name describes. It was a great balance of Thai flavors and j flavors. Last, but not least was Spicy House Sauce . There wasn 't even a description for this you just have to be adventurous. Lol. There was a bit of spicy Sriracha, red peppers, some sweetness, garlic and black pepper. Very good flavors, likely my favorite of the night. After that we went for the cheese quesadilla with short-rib. Let me tell you somethin '. It was SUPER cheesy, succulent, savory and DELICIOUS. To wash it all down, the owner gifted me a White Chocolate Peppermint Martini. It tasted exactly like a candy cane, but if a brown stripe were added. It was sweet and has that distinct twang of peppermint. Delicious.Value: The wings were about $11.00 per order and each came with 7 wings. Like I mentioned, the wings were small, but the quality was there. The goat cheese balls were $5.00 and they came in an order of 3. I could 've ordered 26 of these and been in absolute Heaven. They were that good. The short-rib quesadilla was $8.00 and absolutely worth it. Granted, this is my perspective of happy hour so I recommend coming at that time, because you know the real menu prices will naturally be more expensive. In conclusion, I really enjoyed myself here. I 'd certainly come back to try out out some real entrees or just hit happy hour hard before going to the movies again! If you made it this far in the review, I appreciate you reading. Great little place. I had steak, it was great. I didn't need to add anything to it to give it flavor. Everything is reasonably priced. I will Mos def be coming back again.

Love, love, love that seasonal cocktails! Great food and prices too. I do wish they were open later though... 9pm is a big early to close on a Thursday. Still an easy 5 stats though!

We went for our anniversary and we both loved everything that we ordered. The food was excellent and so was the service. It’s our new favorite restaurant and we can’t wait to go back. It’s definitely a five star place.

I enjoyed the service and food at 50 West. My bf and I went during the week and were the only ones there. The birra tacos had a lot of favor and the Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. My bf enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Parking: Big parking lot in the back View menu

The service was Amazing! For me it’s always about the customer service. The owner came out to meet us, that was classy. Alicia our server, bartender, etc. she makes the place run like a well oiled machine. She was on point, treated us like she knew us for years and made us feel welcomed. She made our night! The food was really good and the drinks were PERFECT! The place is a hidden gem. We will be Back!

We have visited this place probably a handful of times since December and the food has always been good, the mixed drinks are always strong, and the servers are friendly. The owner changes up the menu a bit for the different seasons and everything we have tried has been great...you can tell he takes pride in the quality and presentation of his food. We will keep this place on our date-night dinner rotation. We're looking forward to enjoying the patio when the weather warms up a bit more, too.

"I order from both location as all the time, however this morning really disturbed me as we ordered off their app and my husband went to pick it up and they told us we didn’t pay for the rainbow bagel which is absurd how would you get the order if I didn’t pay in advance? I could process it without payment. So they told my husband we only paid for the up charge online which was $2.20 and owed $3.89 in addition. So my husband paid it. I called and said that is ridiculous and we ended up paying $6 for one bagel. They said the manager told them to do that and would call me back. It’s been 2 hrs and no call. My main concern is this is fraud you can’t tell your customers after purchasing with the price you dictated online to pay more when they show up. If the price changed then change it online. Becareful if you order off their app it’s apparently suggested prices and not the real one. Bbb will be aware..fraud is wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. Since the place of business gained an addition 3.89 that is exactly what that is…my charge was never changed. Statement still shows the $30 charge. Listed on your app states the “rainbow bagel is $2.20” Bottomline is a person pays online utilizing your app you don’t ask them for more money when they show up. That is your app your error end of story. I have ordered this way every week no issues. I won’t be coming back to this business. We will do our Sunday breakfast somewhere else."

"Yummy Sushi is one of the few amazing sushi places in town. It is definitely my go to place for sushi. I normally get take out and the quality is what you?d expect great sushi to be. They have my order ready within 15-20 min. I have never been disappointed. I normally get the spicy tuna roll and a California tempura roll (not on the menu but they will make it if you ask). This time I decided to be adventurous and get two of the chef?s special rolls and the teriyaki chicken. I have to say I will be adding the fast and furious roll to my normal order. I love that they labeled the rolls so I will remember what was what. The fast and furious roll had avocado, shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo sauce, eel sauce, and red tobiko (fish roe). The princess roll had spicy crab, avocado, and seaweed topped with tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Th princess roll was a bit slimy in texture, but still very good. I?ve never had seaweed in sushi before and I absolutely loved the flavor and slightly crunchy texture. First time ordering the teriyaki chicken too. The teriyaki chicken had onions, mushrooms, and zucchini in a delicious not too sweet, not too salty teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were under the chicken (Sorry for no picture. I couldn?t wait any longer and devoured it). The chicken was nicely cooked. Very big portion of both chicken and vegetables. It came with jasmine rice and salad. Order from here and you won?t be disappointed!"
