"I stopped in for breakfast this weekend to find out what all the hype is about this place and how good their donuts are. When you see places in business for so many years like this one, you can clearly see why. When you walk in, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the diner itself has that old-school vibe. The food comes out fast, fresh, and tasty. It doesn't hurt also that they make a really good cup of coffee. Now on to the donuts....The donuts are made right on the premises, so you know going in you are getting fresh delicious donuts every time. They are reasonable in price at $2 per donut, and the more you buy, the cheaper they are. They have a decent sized menu, and the prices are very...and I do mean very reasonable, especially for Park Slope. Be forewarned that this place is cash only! I will definitely stop in again the next time I am in the area, if not to dine in, but to get some of those donuts!"

Food and donuts are so good! Love the strawberry shake with cream and sprinkles! Evening service is better than morning service, I find.Food: 5/5 View menu

The hot chocolate was exceptional and one of the best I have ever had. The food was delicious and I will definitely be returning to try the donut sundae. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

I'm usually scared about ordering home made potatos since I had negative experiences in the past. Potatos are usually from the day before, or who knows from when, but definitely not fresh. However, home potatos from this place were fresh as well as the Spanish omelet. I enjoyed it.Food: 4/5

I was searching for a nice place to have breakfast with my sister and she recommended this diner. It wasn't crowded, even on a Sunday morning, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The omelettes were delicious and very cheesy. The pastries were also excellent, especially the Boston creme, but they were a little expensive, so it's something to consider. Definitely a place I would like to return to.

Me and my friend stopped there yesterday morning. I gave it 5 stars because the staff was super friendly and professional. *However the couple whom we sat next to (sat next to their table), seemed a little racist to me. They gave us a funny look and then took their two daughters and left. It's bad enough to be a racist, but to teach your children to be racist as well is really sad. Children do not ask to be born, they don't ask to come here into this world. It would be highly ideal to lead by example, and make SURE those examples are POSITIVE ones. But the breakfast was great and the donuts were awesome.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
