"My wife and I both did the 6 course tasting menu with sake parings. Of the 6 dishes, 4 were excellent, 1 was a total flop and one was so so . With a Kaiseki meal you expect the freshest, most unique dishes. The failure dish was their take on a A5 Wagu taco. Totally not in keeping with the Japanese theme. In Texas if you do a taco, you gotta beat some stiff competition! The so so dish was a flatbread pizza with truffle oil we felt this was a halfhearted effort you can get similar at many Italian restaurants. The other flour entrees were excellent and showed the scope of the chef 's abilities from salmon sushi to black cod, to a Wagu rib it was all perfection! I hope they will continue to refine this tasting menu as it is really special. Our waiter was a savant when it came to the sake parings giving us a lot of background on the different taste profiles. Really appreciated that! Oh, and the apple pie dessert was perfectly done. We had an enjoyable evening and I hope restaurants of this quality can continue to thrive."

Even asked them to customize our rolls a bit. Wonderful service and a great ambiance.

Incredible food in a really cool setting. Service was impeccable. Can’t say enough great things about this place.

It was very cold as we were sitting under the vent and they put the AC on in 40-degree weather. Overall, food was good but very pricey for its portions.

The 8-course tasting menu was innovative and beautifully presented. The excellent sake flights complemented the dishes perfectly. The service was attentive, which is what you would expect for this price range. View menu

The 8-course tasting menu was fantastic and quite satisfying, even for my husband, who usually isn't full after tasting menus. The quality was top-notch, the service was excellent, and the cocktails were amazing.

Some of the most unique dishes we’ve had. All delicious. Cannot wait to return and sample some of the other dishes. One of our party is gluten intolerant and the staff and chef went out of their way to comply with the restriction.

While the dinner service was excellent, at the two-hour mark, we were brought the check and told we needed to leave. The reservation clearly stated that parties of six have 2.5 hours, but the server claimed that since we booked private dining, we were limited to two hours. I even showed the hostess that my reservation was for the main dining area, but it didn’t seem to matter. Our group spent over $1,300 before tip that night, and we would have likely ordered more if we hadn’t been rushed out after two hours. It was a disappointing experience, especially while celebrating my birthday. View menu

I really was looking forward to eating here and a few things dampened the experience. First off they would not give us a menu for food look at until a few more people from our party arrived. Kept serving us water… but we would have likely to order appetizers for our group.. Weird…Sushi was amazing though. Cigar mousse was not good desert not appealing at all to eat and apple dessert was similar to having a McDonald apple pie with ice cream. I expected maybe something better. Presentation stumps flavor for the desserts for sure. Will we be back? Probably not. For what you get not worth the price and production.

However, the Plano location was a letdown. The decor was lacking, the dining room was excessively noisy, and there was no sense of elegance whatsoever. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations either; it was all below average. I’ve had better sushi at local places, and the prices here were exorbitantly high for such poor quality. Our bill came to around $1,000 for five people, which included two bottles of cheap sake for $40. In comparison, Tei-An restaurant in Dallas offers a much better and more authentic experience for the same price. The sashimi was poorly executed and lacked delicate flavor, and the fish was not cut cleanly. The sushi nigiri was also subpar and cost nearly...

"March 2022 The good the menu is extensive, lots of options even for vegetarians along with sandwiches and sides. Seating area is large enough to fit bigger parties. Once you enter through the door, you walk straight to the ordering booth and give your order. This was our first time so I asked to be seated first (you must find an empty table and make yourself comfy) and go through the menu before ordering anything. The menus are available right besides the ordering booth. For food, we had Achari Garlic Bread, Achari Tandoori Chicken Pizza, Achari Paneer Pizza. They also have a few options for drinks with beers and wine along with bottled/ can sodas. We decided to go with a bottle of wine. The bad let?s start with the service here, or lack there of. The entire process is that you have to order your food and find a table yourself, wine bottles have to opened by, guess who, by you, which isn?t a bad thing if you know how to open one, but I?m sure they?d help if needed. The glasses for wines are available at the back shelf and when we went to pick up the glasses, few looked like they were used and put up there and the others had a thick coating of dust. We had to clean the glasses ourselves before we could even drink the wine. Talking about the food, the pizzas felt like they were made haphazardly, with chicken and jalapeño just put on top of the pizza instead of everything blended smoothly into one fine layer. The pizza was tasty but lacked a punch that I expected from an Indo style pizza. Overall, a decent place with a variety of options for both vegetarians and meat lovers."
