Super large portions of waffles and ham Can't finish it at all Too full Delicious ?

We were looking for an authentic American breakfast and found it at the Ala Carte Cafe. Busy with friendly staff a wide menu and prompt coffe refills.

Waited just a few minutes on a busy weekend for a table, but waitstaff was very attentive, even if we waited on the kitchen a while. Food was okay. Nothing special. Appreciate the large portion sizes for the cost.

Amazing food and service. Wheelchair accessibility: My wife is in a wheelchair and could not use the front door, so the waitress told us to go to the back and she would have a table ready. It was very busy, but there was a table ready.

Came from out of town to have breakfast. Food was ok, but service was awful. Time wait for food was very long for not many people, waitress never came back to refill coffee. I ask for water and never brought it over. Had to ask the bus boy for water and he brought out our toast. Overall not a good experience View menu

This local place has been around since I was a kid, and it's always been a local favorite. Every time my relatives are in town, they love to go here. We went up the other day. And as usual, there's a wait, but they get you right in. The food is always good, always fresh, and the servers are always very courteous and kind. It's a great place to go eat breakfast, and there's no doubt it's the best place to eat breakfast in town. They're usually open from 6 AM to 2 p.m., and it's definitely worth checking out.

Only server to see there is Kindle…. Just like the tablet. She was super nice. Our food was delayed… by a lot…twice. She was on top of it. She was polite and honest what was going on. She did all she could to keep us happy. Wasn’t thrilled with the manager on how she handled it. I heard her call kindle out saying the food has only been in for X time. Which it had not. If the manager was going to do this it should have been out of view of customers. We will return, the food was great Kindle was a great server if she’s not working we will go else where.

We arrived @10:45. Was told it was a 20 minute wait. waited 25 minutes to be seated. Ordered our food immediately. Waited 55 minutes watching table after table be served food. Some tables walked in 30 minutes after ours. We were given a lame excuse about the kitchen and how they organized their orders 10 minutes more pass and we called BS on their explanation. We were told that they would move us up to the front. 10 more minutes our food finally arrived. 1hr 45minutes. Given 20% off. I would have preferred the truth rather than a dishonest explanation and 20%. Unhappy Port Clinton Resident my wife even unhappier. Not sure why I left a 15% tip.
